Seafood
Each summer we are fortunate to spend the month of July on the coast of Maine. Our days start with an early morning dip into the 55 degree salty ocean and finish with cocktails, oysters, and laughs with family and friends. It is truly a “Reset” and “Rejuvenation” for our family. With Two Lights Seafood & Oyster, we look to share a little of that special time with you. Please enjoy! #oystersforever

First visit, made a reservation for Valentine’s Day. Didn’t realize we’d be seated at the bar, which while not necessarily a problem, put us front row of the action: the action being a very flustered and loud oyster shucker. It was hard to focus on conversation and relaxing and enjoying our meal with bits of shell flying all over the place and hectic exchanges behind the bar. That said, the food was good, and our server Nicole was nice, despite being her also being very busy. We’d try coming back again on a less high-stakes night like Valentine’s Day.

Absolutely lovely evening from start to finish! The atmosphere, decor and ambiance was super hip, laid back & comfortable. We went for Valentine’s Day and the entire place was HOPPING. Not a table to be had! But it was oh so wonderful to see so many fellow couples simply enjoying themselves and their delicious meals all around us. Service was top of the line (Megan was out of this world!) food was absolutely incredible (could eat 100 of those mussels & matchstick fries!) drinks were spot on (the bramble on was EVERYTHING and paired perfectly with the meal) and then dessert....that ooey gooey butter cake?! It was perfection! Literally the whole meal & experience was fabulous and we cannot wait to return to try even more of the menu!

Great restaurant week pre-fixe options which included a glass of wine. Food was delicious and service was warm and attentive. We sat at bar and enjoyed conversations with bartender about food, drink and travel. Small intimate space with a focused, appealing menu. We will definitely return to sample other items and enjoy a craft cocktail in the near future.

Do NOT get the fish and chips. Probably the worst fish and chips I've had in my life. Soggy, fried, salty fish with overly salty chips that taste nothing like dill-vinegar chips (like advertised) and everything like overly seasoned with Old Bay chips. Service wasn't great. They close at 10:30 PM, but seem like they absolutely need to get out ASAP because they started cleaning and packing up at around 9:30 PM while there were still tables seated and we didn't even have our main course yet.

Came with friends for restaurant week and wasn’t disappointed! Salmon was cooked to perfection, and the butter cake is probably one of the best desserts I’ve had. The ambience was super cute and I loved
That the GM stopped by and asked us how we enjoyed everything. Greet experience. I will be back!

We made a reservation for two for restaurant week and were seated at the bar. Honestly, i don’t recall if I was notified of that seating arrangement when I booked the reservation. However, our server was also one of two bartenders, so we waited 10-15 minutes to place our order as much of this time was spent making drinks. It was probably a reflection of staffing, not necessarily our server.

Based on the recommendations from our server, we did not participate in the restaurant week menu. We ordered the New England Clam Chowder, which, while it tasted great, my husband struggled to find many clams in it. We ordered two raw oysters and two baked oysters. The baked oysters were underwhelming , so I wouldn’t recommend those. We ordered the Shrimp Scampi Dip, which was delicious albeit very, very rich. My husband ordered the fish and chips and was satisfied with the dish - nothing extraordinary but definitely not disappointing. I ordered two Ahi Tuna Tacos that were fantastic! I would highly recommend the tacos as an appetizer or entree. The tacos are sold individually, which is kind of a bummer.

Add one glass of wine, and our meal cost about the same as two Restaurant Week meals. As we aren’t really dessert people and only one of us was drinking, ordering off the menu better suited us.

Two Lights has become our "go-to" Sunday evening place. Their clam chowder is outstanding - we only wish it came in a bigger bowl! The Faroe Island Salmon Ceviche is the best. Recently ate here for brunch. Loved the stirred eggs (like scrambled but creamier and far more decadent), maple bacon, and gigantic biscuit that must be split between two people--it's that big. In the sandwich category, the tuna poke tacos are good but messy. They come on a smallish plate topped with a mayonnaise based dressing and tend to drip. Wear a top that doesn't show stains if you order these. I would definitely order the tuna poke tacos again but would ask for a larger plate and for the sauce on the side.
