In 2005 we opened our second Two Fat Ladies Restaurant. It's a wee bit bigger than the original Two Fat Ladies restaurant with a great city centre buzz. It's every bit as ‘seriously fishy’ as the West End restaurant but a lot closer to the heart of the city and theatreland.
The second restaurant to open in the Two Fat Ladies legacy, the city centre branch is slightly larger than the compact and cosy West end original, but it is no less intimate for it. An attractive interior is given character by the hint of an underwater theme from the metalwork on the windows of fish moving through waves to the wavy lines of the architecture itself, though friendly and helpful service is on hand to ensure a smooth journey!
The menu shows characteristic favouring towards fresh seafood, with daily changing fish platters alongside favourites such as plaice fillets with brown shrimp, caper and parsley butter or a magnificent whole Cornish sole. A must for fish-lovers when in town.

Kitchen was a little slow, which confused server who suggested dessert menu before our main course arrived. However, he comped my wine, which was very thoughtful. Excellent food and wine, no other complaints!

Food was pretty poor - fish was overcooked and in general did not taste fresh. Lights wer super bright and music really loud. The place was empty for a late shopping Thursday - no atmosphere.

with regards food and ambience it exceeded our expectations. Good value for money on the set menu option. However let down a bit by poor service. took long with no real rapport from the waiter or even a friendly smile

We had booked a table in advance but were seated adjacent to the archway leading to the toilets Unfortunately a very musty unpleasant smell in that corner spoiled the taste of the food We had assumed that all other tables were fully booked and that we were therefore seated there (we had booked well in advance since we were taking a friend out for a birthday dinner)As the lunchtime progressed it became apparent that more than half of the tables were empty In future we would not remain in this restaurant if that was the only table offered

Very disappointed in this restaurant. Wanted to go for a long time and was ultimately underwhelmed. Food was ok at best. Service was poor. Toilets are way less than should be in such an establishment. First and last visit
