Two Brothers Round House
In addition to being a full-service restaurant and brew pub, Two Brothers Roundhouse also offers banquet space for a variety of get-togethers, large and small as well as a music venue and the Two Brothers Cafe and Beer Bar. Situated in the oldest limestone roundhouse in the US, its 70,000 square foot facility is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. The Two Brothers Roundhouse menu starts you off with an appetizer of chimichurri nachos, Brussels sprouts or beer brezen, just to name a few, and follows that up with favorites such as autumn scallops, goat risotto or duck 'n grits in addition to a wealth of other entrees, burgers and sandwiches.
Passion for beer, a love of food and live entertainment with a decidedly local flair flourish inside the granite walls of the Two Brothers Roundhouse.
Our waiter was soooo personable! Great food, great beer and wine. Always a great time!
Would recommend Two Brothers Round House for it's beer selection. It is a cool venue and they have live music during the weekend. Negatives would be a very limited menu, appetizers are small portions and you have to use the valet parking (which is free but obviously entails a tip).
We truly enjoyed our evening dining with friends. The four of us could not have been happier with our meals, the atmosphere, or service. Stephanie, our waitress, was a delight! We look forward to dining here again in the future.
Overpriced, incredibly middling food at best. $8 for a basket of kettle chips and a small ramekin of cheese sauce and ranch.
Went there on a Friday night with reservations at 6 PM. Food was outstanding and the ambience incredible! I had the salmon and my husband had the pot roast special. The chili glaze on my salmon was a really delicious touch! Love the atmosphere in this historic building.
I visit 2 bothers round house 4-5 times a year. Food has always been great.
Unfortunately, that was not the case on Saturday. Two of the people in my party ordered the pot roast daily special. Upon arrival at the table one was cold and the other barely warm. Server was terrific and took them back to the kitchen. Both people stated that the second plates were certainly warmer but the flavor and presentation was mediocre.
Food not the best. Lukewarm. Came out 5 min after we ordered. Definitely wasn’t made to order. Seated next to bar by loud drunk people. I had requested a booth or place away from doors and bathroom. Not sure about returning.
My $27 salmon was very small and the 'glaze' tasted like salad dressing from a bottle.
The town of Aurora certainly lacks in regards to restaurant selection. Prove me wrong if you think otherwise and don't give me cafe's, sandwich places, coffee houses etc. I want a nice restaurant.
I went to the Payton Roundhouse back in the day and thought it sucked so this past weekend I figured I would give Two Brother a chance. First let me say I hate craft beer but often try to find one I like - that being said I have a lot of respect for Two Brother's the brewery and company.
I think the Roundhouse has never and still does not know what it wants to be - a restaurant, gift shop, brewery, coffee shop, wedding venue, bar, comedy club. You can't be great at everything so pick one or two and make them amazing.
The hostess station was run by a bunch of under-dressed teens in a chaotic manner. We were sat in a dark little corner and our server was super nice and on the ball however the food was mediocre at best. Spinach dip sounded great but was luke warm and runny, fish and chips were not fresh battered fish, more like frozen fish triangles all perfectly the same shape/size. My wife had a salad with steak which seemed ok but nothing I couldn't make at home on a typical night. Desserts were fantastic but will assume they are not made in house. There was simply no flare in the food or service.
New owners and I gave it a second chance but I am sorry it will be the last.
The best part was the service we received from our waiter Clay.
It was our second time there and this time it was for his birthday. We'll be putting Two Brothers into our regular rotation. Thank you!
Service was top notch 5 star. Good drinks but the food brought the rating down. Used to be a much better menu when we dined there before.
Good was very salty.
Great experience as always - the fish tacos and roasted vegetables side was fantastic!
Our server was fantastic!
Needs list of liquors made by two brothers, so we can add it to cocktails!
Really REALLY great experience! Friendly, excellent waitress who constantly came back to the table to replenish anything! Food was fantastic - great menu selections. What made our experience even better was having one of the Brothers come to the table and give us a brief history of this amazing historical building, with accurate details that I ended up Googling for even more delicious info. We are coming back again! Note: don't let the parking harsh your buzz - use the Valet parking!!
While I recommend the Round House, it's more for the overall experience and of course, the beer. The food is fairly average and the menu is pretty small. A small menu I don't mind, but then you'd better nail everything, especially at the price point. I've eater there twice, had three completely different meals, all left me a little disappointed. Food is not hot and does not taste fresh. My wife had the Snapper with risotto and you could immediately see the fish was overcooked and warm at best. The risotto was ok, not great. For $23 I am expecting a lot more. I had the spinach salad with chicken and it was pretty good. Chicken a little dry. I have also had the cajun chicken pasta. Same story, decent but not served very hot and lacked spice. I have sat at the bar and the dining area upstairs. Service has been good, although our server the other night seemed harried and perhaps overwhelmed by the number of tables she had. I would go back to sit at bar and have great beer, however this will not be a "must go" destination for me in the future. Which is unfortunate since we are season ticket holders at the Paramount Theater.
Was not impressed at all with the selections of drinks other than the house made items. Food selections was rather limited and portions was barely adequate for the money. Service left alot to be desire of as well as I had to hunt down the server to get a refill. We will not be going back soon as we just went see the entertainmenat and believe me we have been to alot more better place than this.
Great food and beer as always
This establishment is still a fun place to go to but the food quality has declined quite a bit. The menu offerings have narrowed, and the quality is fair at best. Our server was great, btw. Also, we're in our 60's and the noise level was a bit too much for us. Two Brothers used to promote their beer, which is very good. However it seems to have taken a back seat to the overall experience. The beer sheet in our booth was pretty weathered, stained, and rumpled. At least put a little effort into that. Finally, Two Brothers makes a habit of calling to confirm the reservation, which defeats the purpose of Open Table IMO. It's annoying. I dont know if we'll be back.
Food and drinks were mediocre at best. Tiny martinis
We had a great time at Two Brothers. We loved the ambiance and the roundhouse structure which was very interesting and quite bustling. The food was decent. The only issue was the waitress made us wait a while before taking our order and then she got it wrong. But she was very apologetic and very friendly. It was just an honest mistake.
First fry good. Stephanie server excellent.
We saw the Keanu art exhibit after dinner, which rocked...
Place was awesome. Great meal
We had excellent food for our wedding a year ago with our reception here, so we came back for our 1 year anniversary and the food was awful. The calamari and beer were good, but my husband and I hated our meals. I actually complained about my first meal and ordered a second instead, but my NY steak was so dry and my husband agreed. I regret not complaining about my second meal since our bill was $95 total with tip. My husband disliked his food, but didn't speak up. He said it was very bland. Sadly, we won't be back for dinner. Just beer only. I don't know if your kitchen was off or what, but I'm glad our wedding had good food
Getting checked in was horrible. There was no one dedicated to seating us despite the signs telling us to check in with the host stand. We were directed to the bar who directed us back to the host stand... then we waited before we were noticed. (sigh)
But, once we were seated, our waitress was attentive and informative. The food was outstanding as always. We’ll be back. But, next time, we hope the seating process will be less bumpy.
A lovely day for a late lunch with friends visiting from Ireland, we sat outside, slow service, couldn't find our server when needed, lots of food on brick floor around us, have been coming here for a long time and never felt so neglected.
Our food was good. The reason I marked the service as fair was because although our servers were very nice, they did not check in frequently enough and our lunch ended up lasting longer than two hours. We were having a meeting, so we weren't planning on being in and out in 45 mins, but it did drag on a little too long. The Round House has a nice atmosphere and was good for conversation, except for during one period when some very loud, unidentified piece of machinery was running. After it stopped, it was a good noise level for conversation. Overall, I would recommend and I would return for a lunch meeting.
Great spot for a casual business lunch - menu has good variety, gluten-free options, and the food is always delicious!
Great experience for an after hours business meeting
I visit frequently and love the energy in the dining area and the service is great.
I would like to see the menu change up. Been the same for awhile now. Also
would like to see signature cocktails added to the beverage menu to show off
their spirits. Great Job
Great family time!
Spending the afternoon showing my friends NHL legend Gene Ubriaco and his lovely wife Nella around Aurora and wanted to take them to someplace nice for lunch. I've always wanted to try Roundhouse. So glad I finally did. Everything was delicious and our server was an absolute gem.
We had lunch today at the Round House with friends from North Dakota stopping by on their way to Florida. They loved the historic features and the food met with great reviews. We started with chips and dip which is house made potato chips served with a cheese sauce and a spicy ranch sauce. Delicious! The entrees included two chicken sandwiches with grilled onions as a sub for raw, a Cobb salad (huge!) and the Rueben with house made corned beef, one of the best I’ve ever had. I made it thru half the sandwich and the leftovers will be lunch tomorrow. All in all, a great lunch!
if you like bland and whatever; eat here. short rib sandwich: tasteless pot-roast. Just say say it's pot roast. It was not short ribs.
Our dinners were very good. Looking at the meals around us the sandwiches looked generous and delicious. We will try sandwiches next time. Very good service. Nice place to hang out and have a cocktail outdoors just watching people.
“Would you recommend” question is really a “yes AND no”. Ambiance and history are a yes! We sat outside rather than wait for a table (even tho we had a reservation, we arrived late (but called!). Did not want to be seated in restaurants interior or upstairs sections. Requested a window towards the courtyard view, but it had been “accidentally” given away...😩. Service seemed somewhat slow, and “table runners” were constantly confused what table they were delivering dishes to.
My friend (who doesn’t get to dine out often), was looking forward to a “blackened salmon” I believe, and was told that the on-line menus were outdated and they no longer carried. Very disappointed.
Since changing over from “Walter Payton’s Roundhouse” to “Two Brothers Roundhouse” menu is dumbed down to standard “Brew Pub” grub. (IMO).
I ordered a special cocktail with strawberry something or other, only to be told they were out of it “because ALL of their spirits were their own made in house and they hadn’t got that spirit (?) in yet (from other location). Settled for a decent margarita, but because it was being served outdoors, it was served in a plastic glass...”salt won’t stick to rim”. At least I was pre-warned..🙄.
Couldn’t decide between fish tacos or Reuben, so decided to split with other friend so we could try both! Was then told “these aren’t your standard Reubens....they are made with “brisket of beef”, not “corned beef”. (I am a fan of good brisket, so it was enticing) waitress assured us they were delicious and brisket was juicy and flavorful. Tasted like a roast beef sandwich to me...with not enough cheese or kraut or sauce on it. All three meals came with FF when we had ordered 2 with chips, and one with FF. They did bring us a plate of chips when brought to their attention (good homemade chips! I think they were homemade anyway...)
Fish tacos were “good” but not to die for. Toppings were better than the fried fish.
Will just go for music in courtyard NT
The old railroad roundhouse is very cool. But it took 15 minutes to locate a waiter. The fish fry was over cooked, and the smallest serving of coleslaw ever. About the size of a table spoon. Great atmosphere, but the food and service were terrible!
