Two Brothers Barrel House
Don't waste your money here. Went for brunch with a party of four. Everyone's food was incorrect in some way. It took our server 25 minutes to bring us a coffee. Even after all of the mistakes, nothing was done to make up for the trouble. Will not be returning.
It was a very busy night. Took a while to get our drinks. The food was good and the place looked good.
Love the new look of the Barrel House. The menu and food were terrific. Service was slow but we assume they are working out the kinks of just opening.
Potential to be a really good place. Food took forever to come and wait staff seemed disorganized. Beer selection is great but once again staff was unsure of what was available. Wait six months until they iron out the kinks.
Great place to grab a quick sandwich while shopping. Was not up to see the second floor
Or third. But if I know two brothers it
great atmosphere and the service was amazing & fun. The brunch menu was interesting and the food was just ok. Looks like a fun place for cocktails on the rooftop bar
Tried new downstairs restaurant.. service slow - only one waiter... waited a long time for food, which was quite average.. and no ribs left on menu at 6.30pm!
Won’t rush back, which is a shame as used to like their coffee shop before it became another eatery
The service was atrocious. Arrived at 6:45p. Took them 25 minutes to take drinks orders and another 30 mins for the drinks to arrive. Appetizers and main entree arrived together at 8:15. Horrible service. No managers. Two Brothers is much better than this. Don’t know what happened.
We had reservations at 6:30, once we were seated, we waited 25 minutes before anyone came to our table. Our drink orders were taken by a manager & he said someone would be with us shortly hopefully. We waited another 20 minutes and our drinks had not arrived, and no one had come to our table yet. At this point we left and went to another restaurant.
Seemed like there was only one server? We were not in a hurry so it didn’t bother us but I felt sorry for the guy. Food was good.
The service was not good. There was a runner than was bringing food, so the servers did not even need to bring out their own food if they didn't have time. The runner was friendly and asked if we needed anything. Our server was slow and not very accommodating. We went for brunch, and it was somewhat crowded when we first got there but not crowded enough for the poor service. I asked for another drink right when we got our food, and it took at least 15 mins. We were ready to leave by the time it came. The food and drinks were good but not great. I would recommend the french toast. It was tasty and a good portion size. Overall, I would recommend to try the place, but do not be surprised if the service isn't good.
First time, good overall service and food. Friendly and open atmosphere
I’m a little disappointed with the redo of this restaurant. I love two brothers and all their restaurants but I think they missed the mark with this revamp. I’m not sure barrel house equates to country western? The country music playing and somewhat random decor on the walls didn’t feel like it went with their usual trendy and purposeful theming. We decided to sit at the bar which felt a little more atmospheric, rather than the small tables up front which felt Too close together and just too casual. I know the whole idea is to make this place more family friendly but it felt like it was in limbo between still trying to be trendy with the food and the plating etc but the decor didn’t match. Our appetizer ( the chicken barrel rolls), were great! The highlight of the meal. The fried chicken sandwich was very juicy but could have been seasoned a bit better. The tater tots were great. I was disappointed that the drink menu was not as big as the one on the third floor. It felt like there weren’t that many options. That being said, the bar tender made our cocktails very well even though he was he training. I got a classic cosmo and it was perfect. Overall, I’m glad we tried this place out but not sure we’d choose to come back over the tap house or round house. The craftsman was a nice special occasion place and I will miss it.
Staff was friendly. Food was just "ok". Seemed microwaved/reheated. Nothing bad, just not great.
Good food and service. Met a friend we hadn’t seen for 30 years. Our server gave us plenty of time to visit.
Really disappointed in the reincarnation of The Craftsman - slow service, boring menu, and seriously uncomfortable chairs. Won’t be revisiting.
I ordered the fried chicken dinner. You get 2 pieces of fried chicken for $16. The breast was overcooked and the led was undercooked.
Service was slow and waiter was abrupt.
The food is horrible. My husband and I will never go back.
Great Two Brothers cocktails, food was delicious and our service was great! Highly recommend this place!
I was really excited to hear that Two Brothers was going to revamp their Naperville location. However, is it a country bar now? That is the vibe I got opening night. Wood paneling and uncomfortable metal barn chairs cheapen the look of this fabulous space.
I was really hoping for a Roundhouse or Tap Room experience. The Barrel House menu is minimal, which I realize could still be changing. Where are the inventive small plate dishes? How about classic appetizers like the amazing Chimichurri Nachos? As a vegetarian if I am offered another black bean burger I’m going to cry. Vegan tacos, tempura green beans, and fried Brussels sprouts please! Or how how about the create your own pizza? The Domaine DuPage crust is do die for. The hummus and cheese dip on the Third Floor are killer! Can those items be ordered downstairs?
Our server was incredibly attentive, extremely friendly, and fun! Loving the canned cocktails and spirit tastings. My co-pilot for the evening got a burger and loved it! Tots were delish too.
I’ll look forward to seeing how the second floor is decorated as it wasn’t open yet. Overall, I’m hoping for a more curated and expansive Barrel House menu because it could really be a place I go to often.
The food was delicious but the service was slow and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. It took awhile for drinks and we had to hunt the waitress down for refills or extra plates. I would go again to try other plates but won't rush back.
Waiting area is in a coffee shop. While waiting to dine at a Brewery themed restaurant, it would be nice to sample the drinks that would be served at dinner. Service was sub-par as well.
Amazing food-the waitress was knowledgeable and friendly! Felt like I was at home
I really enjoyed the blacked mahi mahi, crab cake appetizer and basil fizz cocktail!
Great dinner as always - love the chef’s creativity, wonderful environment and fantastic service!
We enjoyed our first time at the The Craftsman; although the menu is limited, the dishes served were well thought out and delicious. There is a wide selection of wines, although our server, specifically, could have been more knowledgeable about them, we were able to identify a good option with our meals and charcuterie. Based on the menu presentation, it appears that the focus is on wine and good food rather than Two Brother's usual beer presentations. Service and ambiance was nice, although seating is close (but not uncomfortable.) We will be back, and probably bring our friends!
Valentines Day menu was great. Everything was great.
We had a wonderful meal and great service!
Loved this restaurant. The food and service were top notch!
Good place would go again
Not a great experience. We were seated at least 15-20 minutes before our waitress stopped by, and the restaurant was not busy. When our food finally came, my entree (seared duck) was not cooked properly and seemed more raw than medium rare. The rest of the plate was ok, but not nearly as good as it sounded on the menu. They were nice enough to take it off the bill though, given I couldn’t eat much of the duck.
The food was very good, service was excellent and very friendly. The craft cocktails were delicious.
Fancy menu. I had the lamb shank. I disliked the beans but the shank was ok. The menu is a little classy. They do have a burger. Went in a Wednesday night and it was empty.
Beautiful and modern interior with the warmth of exposed brick, end cut wood floors, and unique lighting. Excellent service but the food was a little disappointing.
We have a 1 year old and they were very kind - not all places with this type of ambience would have been as kind or excited to have a 1 year old. She behaved great and we had a lovely dinner!
Food wasn't as good as the menu made it sound. Best thing was the cinnamon roll.
Just ok. Food is overpriced for the quality. I really wanted it to be better, it's a great location with good ambiance. Food was just not up to par with the other options in the area.
Very impressed with attentiveness and sheer quality of service. Food was equally impressive. Thank you.
First time there for an evening business dinner. Excellent service, friendly staff, great food and drinks, great atmosphere with 3 levels and outdoor deck space on top level for the summer. I will definitely go back with friends!
