Twisted Oak Tavern
My brother in laws birthdau
Recently 9 of us with 5 kiddos total went for dinner. We made a reservation and the table was ready when we arrived. The server was fantastic and anticipated our needs and really went above and beyond for our kiddos. We would highly recommend this location. Excellent food and service!
Most awful place- despite having a reservation they could not let us sit there we suspect because of our kids we were discriminated against. Manager and hostess could not accommodate us despite seeing multiple open tables and despite the fact that we had a reservation. Will never return to this place again nor recommend it. Discrimination plus overbooking = greed- hostess agreed we should seek an alternate arrangement to dine at this evening never mind a reservation at this place! Lol.
Valentine’s Day Dinner was great, the food and service was great. They forced a high gratuity on the customers, I’m guessing they wanted to pay for the music that started too late.
Food and drinks were amazing. Definitely coming back to this spot
Very energetic atmosphere. Great waiter (Andy) and food was surprisingly good and consistent.
The food and atmosphere were good, great bar menu, but our waiter was almost non existent. There was a much larger table being served and I get that they needed a bit more service, but I was flagging anybody at one point just for some condiments.
Happy hour would probably be excellent. Those are my thoughts...
Great choice of local beers on tap, very creative menu, and excellent service.
We had hi hopes for this restaurant; we did not expect it to be as loud as it was. I liked my burger the others in my party did not like the food.
Service was great but the food and the beer were just OK. Wouldn’t go back.
Food was AWFUL. We actually left after telling our waiter. He offered to take some off our bill, but we declined because he did provide good service
The food was delicious and the service waa great! It’s awesome every time I come here. Love this place!
Bar fare at gastro-pub prices. Service was good, but ambiance and food were sub-par.
Great Food and fun place to go when you are in the area
Couldn't sit on the back patio because it was in use by a wedding group.
The noise level in side was too much for my husband, who is hearing deficient.
But we sat on the front patio, which was not noisy and enjoyed the evening. Both the food and the service were great! We'll go back soon.
Both food and service were average. Ambiance is very similar to other taverns, good beer selection, and reasonable prices. This is one restaurant that you could get a rattle snake and rabbit hot dog. In general not a restaurant that we would return to.
We were very pleased with the Twisted Oak. I had two of their house brewed beers, an IPA and a chocolate stout. Very delicious. The food was creative and very tasty. They weren’t very busy but we all felt that should change. Not a wide open, obvious location...which is perhaps why they didn’t appear to be doing as well as they should have been. Would absolutely recommend.
I would agree with many other reviews that the service is mediocre. My initial contact with the hostess left me confused. I gave her my name and that I had a reservation and without a word she left. A moment later another lady came over and said we could sit wherever we wanted. She was pleasant, gave us our menus and said she’d send our server over. She ended up taking our drink and food order. The staff seemed unorganized and uninterested in taking care of customers with much effort. We shared the roasted cauliflower, romaine wedge and short ribs. The food was good, but it’s not enough for me to recommend or return. I appreciate attentive staff and the restaurant is very loud even though it was not very crowded.
We enjoyed the quiet patio and the food was good. Our waiter was on the ball and we will go back.
I’ve been here a few times recommend the short ribs
Service was lacking on the obvious. Needed utensils and checking up however server was jice
The food was very tasty. Was in the mood for American cuisine, burgers, snacks. Everything tasted great. Drinks were good too. Had the PB & J burger to be daring and it actually was delicious and very different. Highly recommend It. Overall, had a fun evening and bonus was the good food.
Limited menu, but everything we had was really good. Fresh, original and well made
Great food, mediocre service and a loud environment. My wife and I took the kids here and it was nice because they could be loud but there was a table sitting next to us dropping f-bombs like a frustrated mechanic; they were literally yelling a conversation that no one else wanted to hear. Overall good experience.
Great people working. We went at a low key time so very quiet as desired.
Our wsitress went above and beyond. Food was amazing just thought the chairs and some of the outdoor seating was outdated.
Nice experience for a casual evening out
We had a large party at The Twisted Oak for a friend's birthday. ALL of the staff was extremely helpful and kind, especially Jessica and the other bartender. They were constantly checking to see if we needed anything, and made the evening very enjoyable. We will definitely return for happy hour and other occasions in the future. It is now one of my new favorite places!
Fabulous hidden gem in Agoura Hills - we love Twisted Oak Tavern.! Inviting menu, delicious comfort food, great open eating space, friendly, attentive staff.
The beer selection and service were fantastic. Lacked live music which we mentioned to the owner along with our praises to our waiter and the excellent food.
His response was that people don't come for the live music. I somehow find this hard to believe.
Overall a great experience and would definitely go again.
Meh, could easily get a better review with slightly more effort. Almost tolerable wine. Stupid plates for salad. Weathered cheap diner-style silverware, paper napkins. Otherwise the place is fine but they go cheap here and there and it's beneath the place.
Been to Twisted Oak Tavern once before and enjoyed it. Had to try it again and enjoyed a second time. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Kuddos to Zoe. She rocked! Will definitely be making the trip out again to Twisted Oak Tavern again in the future.
Everything was good, but there wasn't really anything that was great.
It is a nice bar with great beer selection. The Reuben was tasty but the meat is a slab - which I wasn’t expecting that. The donut bread pudding was okay - but it tasted like it had coconut in it and it was mushy - not what I think of for bread pudding. The atmosphere is nice.
Great place to meet family and friends. Easy, diverse and good menu. Food always fabulous and so are the drinks! Quickly becoming a regular here!
Our party wasn’t that enthusiastic about the menu here. My burger was good as were the sweet potato fries. The place was so cold that the food got cold quickly. While nothing terrible happened, I probably won’t return.
Our second time dining at this restaurant. Took our friends there Sat night. Service was beyond slow. Appetizers we're cold when they finally got to the table...5 minutes before our main dishes were delivered. I don't know if it was just an off night and they were understaffed or what? Took forever to get our drinks as well.
Hopefully they can get their service up to snuff, because the food ( other than the cold appetizers) is really good.
I’m a somewhat jaded diner and I regard the Twisted Oak a find. The food is original. The ambiance is that of a Irish Pub...just a little louder.
Twisted Oak Tavern was great for a guys’ night out. They have plenty of their own microbrews and a wide assortment of other popular microbrews. Menu is simple but tasty options.
A good”drop in for a burger & beer kind of place”- go & watch a game while munching better than average food from an interesting & diverse menu . Sevice is as casual as the place but you can watch a game on any number of well placed screens while you’re waiting . Then enjoy quite tasty food whenever it shows up.
