Love this spot! I had a wonderful piece is swordfish as did one other in our party. He had a side of spaghetti squash and I had the sautéed kale. My wife had the French dip and she was very happy. We also love the milk stout on tap and the Opolo petite Sirah. We are regulars, love the Collins boys.
Food was great. The waitress needs to be better trained.
Thanks for a great evening once again. Servers are really nice and check on you frequently.
Fun and vibrant without the exhausting noise level of so many urban kitchen places.
We've been there several times for lunch and now dinner. It has always been outstanding. The food is consistently delicious. Our server, Laura, was fun to talk to and very attentive.
We had a fantastic evening. The service and food was excellent. The General Manager checked on our table and took excellent care of us!
The food is very good, plus they are very accommodating if you want to make a substitution. It was my first time going and I will be going back. The charred Brussel sprouts are amazing!
Ambiance was delightful. Food outstanding and the service was great.
Amazing time. Thanks for the best Brussel Sprouts and new vibe to the area!!
Artichoke dip is a must! Enjoyed my Cobb salad as well. Great ambiance, great service. Definitely a great neighborhood restaurant.
Great food and drinks, happy hour is a good deal!
This is the first time I have eaten here and I live up the street. Looking at the menu online never entice me, as all items are on the heavier side, however, my friend wanted to go here for lunch and I said “sure”. As soon as we sat down the waitress wanted to take our order. We hadn’t even looked at the menu, as we were catching up with each other. She came over again and again and again. Finally, I ordered the Cobb salad and asked for the grilled cheese instead of the chicken as I don’t eat poultry, and the grilled cheese was actually less expensive. I also asked if the 9 minute egg could be an 11 minute and she replied “we only make 9 minute eggs”. What?? After she placed our orders she came back to inform me that they could not substitute the chicken. What?? The whole place was empty. I told her I had never been to such an unaccomodating restaurant. 5 minutes later she came back and said they would give me the grilled cheese. Too many great places to eat in Central Phoenix. Never again.
Great food! The brunch/lunch menu had great options and was very tasty.
Every time I’ve been here, the food has been awesome!
Excellent meal, very good service.
Restaurant was very slow and quite so they rushed the service. Ordered appetizers and before we could even get started our meals arrived. 4 plates on the table so very crowded and off butting.
First visit to meet for a business meeting. I had the salmon with cabbage and it was really good. Nice quiet setting. I’ll be back
We generally like the Grove but for a place that has NO steak on the menu it's deceiving to call your pork chop a Porterhouse. When I ordered it I had not seen the pork notation and I ordered a Porterhouse, medium. Much to my surprise I got a pork chop. Companion always comes for the prime rib which was excellent. Live and learn.
Delicious food and great service!
I normally enjoy dinner here but I met a friend for lunch. She had my favorite crab cake with side salad and it was delicious but the salad was overdressed. I tried the Asian noodle salad with shrimp and it would have been excellent but again it was soggy and overdressed. Then I did order their fabulous Brussels sprouts to go and again overdone with the balsamic. Normally this restaurant knows not to overdo the sweet stuff like a chain restaurant but this day was disappointing.
Everything was delicious and the service was great. Not sure how they got the chicken breast to be so tender but it was exceptional.
The server was extremely attentive. We had some specialty drinks which were delicious and each of us selected different meals. No one was disappointed. Our group goes out regularly so somethings it’s a hit and sometimes a miss. This one was out of the park.
Always a great dining experience experience!
Great food. Happy hour menu is to die for. Chicken on a bisquet. Tacos are super. Brushetta is excellent. Will definitely be back.
Menu was confusing as to what was included with our entree and server did not explain it very well. She couldn't answer a couple of our questions. Wait staff was not attentive and we assumed they were just inexperienced.
Great Father's Day dinner. Dad wanted prime rib specifically and it was great. Service was outstanding!
Fabulous food and great service!
The four of us enjoyed our dinner very much! Great staff! Love the decor!
Recommended by local friend, especially for brunch & happy hour. really great looking place with bar and several seating areas. Very creative menus. Good service. Nice wine list. Crab cake egg Benedict really great/ big lumps as was short rib hash/ rich/meaty. Only disappointment was a watered down martini. Would definitely go back.
Love there food from the delish crab cake and greens to short rib with gnocchi. There Brussels sprouts can’t be beat. It is very loud which is a problem if you want to visit.
Food was fabulous. Service was extremely slow. When 1 server handed us off to another, the first failed to bring some items and apparently forgot to relay the messages. I finally got the silverware and sweetener myself.
Always a great meal in a great atmosphere. The Salmon and roasted cauliflower was yummy. My husband and friends inhaled the prime rib.
We loved it and great food! Yum!!
We ate here on the last day of spring restaurant week. The restaurant was not very busy, which was good because the noise level was reasonable. With lots of hard surfaces, I'm guessing it might get pretty loud when the tables are full.
In any case, we thoroughly enjoyed our three-course restaurant week dinner. My husband has the salmon poke to start and liked it. I had the brussels sprouts. They were cooked with bacon and dressed with a balsamic reduction. Not overcooked and very tasty. I had the crab cake for my entrée and it was surprisingly good. After years of living in the DC area, I got used to great Maryland crab cakes and the ones I've had in Phoenix haven't matched up. This one had lots of lump crabmeat, very little filler, good taste, browned on the outside and not overdone on the inside. My husband had the prime rib, which though not out of the ordinary, was perfectly cooked and very tasty. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse cake and my husband had the pecan caramel pie. I'm not sure which one I liked better, because they were both excellent.
Our server, and the others who supported her, were very attentive and took really good care of us. We will definitely return.
A wonderful dinner date experience!
What a fabulous surprise. Delicious Brussels sprouts and spicy shisedo peppers for an appetizer followed by a jumbo lump crab cake salad which was true to its name with large lumps of crab and a wild mushroom pasta. We ended with the butterscotch pecan pie and chocolate pie all included for restaurant week. It was an instant new favorite place. We did sit outside because it is pretty deafening inside the bar area especially.
It’s okay. Nothing to get too excited about. However, their chocolate pie is wonderful!
2nd visit in one week. Love the food, service ambiance. Especially appreciate how I can hear my companions. Not possible in most
've been wanting to try this place for the longest time, perfect excuse, AZ Restaurant Week. After reviewing the special menu, it looked very promising. I made an Opentable dinner reservation for 2 on a Saturday at 7:30. Upon arrival, having never been here, I noticed they have nice patio seating, big bar seating area and internal restaurant seating. We were seated at a table for 2 in the bar area next to a huge party group sitting at the high-tops. The noise was deafening. We asked to be moved further away. Future note to self: knowing they have more of an internal quite dining area I will note on my reservation next time to request the more quite area. Note: the restaurant was not filled at all. Shalorena our server introduced herself and was very good.
We ordered cocktails: the Twisted Martini, and the White Cosmo. Drinks were fantastic. We ordered from the AZ Restaurant Week menu, starting off with the Salmon Poke, "Joker Bee" Prime Rib, Crab Cake & Green, Butterscotch Pecan Pie and Chocolate Mousse Pie. The food was very good. I will definitely be back to try the regular menu and Happy hour.
Atmosphere: casual nice, Service: very good, Food: very good
It was our second visit and it was just as great as the first. Great grilled cheese app and a variety of meals for kids (free at happy hour with entree purchase). We had the prime rib, which was perfect. Side of spaghetti squash was also delicious. And chocolate mousse pie for dessert was wonderful. New favorite place.
