   We can’t believe we waited this long to try Twisted Cork! We both had the Lionfish, which was delicious. The Parmesan crusted oysters were also great. We highly recommend the Ballpark pie for dessert, Amazing!!

   Feeling lucky? Based on our experience and other reviews an evening at Twisted Cork is a real crap shoot. Unfortunately, our experience was terrible. First the things the restaurant had little or no control over - two large parties in an intimate space who were very very loud and extremely obnoxious. And, apparently, a walk out in the kitchen on a night when the place was packed. But the manager - and it wasn’t apparent there was one on site - did NOTHING to address the 30 minute wait to even place our order (granted we should have walked out then) the hour wait for garlic bread or the 2 HOUR wait for our entrees. No communication. No offer of complimentary bread and cocktails while we waited, no offer of desserts for the table at the end, no apologies for the deafening noise level during the long wait. When the bill finally came one round of drinks (4 cocktails for a party of 6) had been comped but it was way too little too late. We were utterly miserable. I gave 2 Stars because the food, once it came, had promise. The monkfish and pasta specials were very good. The portions of lion fish piccata were small and the preparation was just “meh” and the po’boys were dry and really skimpy on shrimp. We were told the oysters were “off” and weren’t available that night. Other ingredients seemed in short supply based on our plates. Overall the kitchen seemed to be a hot mess, there wasn’t enough staff on the floor, no manager in sight and super poor recovery on a bad situation. We are reasonable people with some experience in the restaurant business in our group- we know stuff happens. And had anyone apologized for the noise, explained there would be a wait, offered a complimentary cocktail and app while we waited or done ANYTHING to save the night we would have been ok. Unfortunately it was an expensive and poor experience I can’t recommend.

   Three of our party of four ordered the lion fish piccata, which was AMAZING!! Lion fish is an invasive fish to St. Thomas, which is killing the native species. We did the right thing to help control it by having three plates. Our fourth ordered (and loved) the salmon risotto fish. I recommend this restaurant without question. The wines looked wonderful, although we ordered from the full bar. A great restaurant choice in the US Virgin Islands, and kudos to Open Table for having them on their list.

   Outstanding meal. The music was great, the ambience was great.Hook up on the one list because they were out of the one we wanted to order but that could happen anywhere. The grouper special was tremendous as was the shrimp étouffée and the shrimp Po boy. We will definitely be back soon and highly recommend it

    Very graciously accommodated us when we had 3 friends joins us for dinner. Food was our best meal in St. Thomas and service was attentive and understated. A jazz combo added to the ambiance, yet we were still able to have a conversation. Very happy with our night out at Twisted Cork.

    If in St. Thomas definitely worth the stop. Food very good, but rather expensive. Menu certainly had items we had not seen before. My husband ordered a wonderful hamburg with truffles and lots of other things that was amazing, but the $50 charge was a shock to us. It was a special and did not have a price listed. Perhaps we should have asked in advance. Lesson learned. All in all a great restaurant with amazing foods! Interesting decor inside. Would definitely return on our next visit.

    We last ate here in spring 2017 and definitely wanted to return. I love the pesto pasta and the chicken served with it is absolutely delicious! Wish I knew the chef’s secret! My husband had the lion fish and chips, which he also loved. One of our very favorites is St. Thomas!

    This little gem I found though Yelp. We were seated and served an absolutely delicious dinner. So recommended. Sweet owner and food deliciously prepared. Even the salad was a combination of many tastes all expertly combined. Very recommended. Get the ball park dessert!

    From the greeting by the bartender/maitre d' to the wine and dinner service was excellent. We shared the stuffed mushroom appetizer and both had the special, local yellow tail snapper crusted with macadamia nuts and sauteed. All were excellent, as was the very large double espresso following dinner. Definitely among the top restaurants in St. Thomas.

    Hands down the best restaurant in Frenchtown or maybe even on the entire island. Superb chicken liver app, the pomme frites are great, and the salmon risotto was the best I ever had. So, obviously, we liked it. Very nice servers, too.

    We unfortunately had several meals at quality restaurants before visiting the Twisted Cork, the site of the old Craig and Sally’s. We were told by locals and visitors alike that the place was fun, had interesting decor, great food and service. The menu is NOT fine dining, it is po boy sandwiches and grits. A dinner for 4 of grits and po boys should not cost more than $200 especially when one of the meals never eve got served in the two hours and 15 minutes we were there. While it IS brighter than Craig and Sally’s , that is the only positive comparison. The kitchen is either too small for the number of tables, or the chef is incredibly inefficient. Maybe the just want to sell you more wine by making the guests wait 1 hr and 29 minutes for serving dinner. When the food came , the waiter said “ the kitchen made a mistake” when the wrong food was served. The correct po boy sandwich ( of all things to get wrong) took another 20 minutes to appear. Because of the lousy service, they offered free dessert, big deal. The wine list is not bad and the prices are reasonable, but ..... The experience was bad all around. The dessert menu sounded good But after more than two hours to get table service complete for entrees, we weren’t about to risk the dessert. Don’t go, unless you have a high tolerance for noise and lousy service. The food is grossly overpriced by VI standards as well , you can do far better almost anywhere on island. The food might have tasted better if the service had been timely and correct. But , don’t go unless you are willing to be abused. Around the corner is good pizza, good schnitzel and several better choices.

    I love this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. We’ve been going there for years (started with Craig and Sally’s) and have never been disappointed with the food or the friendly service. The restaurant is clean and air conditioned but doesn’t have too much atmosphere. But the fact remains that this is a restaurant that you go to for the food.

    There was street construction in front of the restaurant when we were there. Our taxi driver directed us on how to best get to the front door. I ordered the shrimp and grits which was delicious!! My husband had a Caesar salad and chicken club sandwich. He loved both! We enjoyed the lettuce wraps as an appetizer. All of the food was wonderful and we definitely recommend this restaurant.
