Great, friendly service. Wonderful food. Catered to infant granddaughter perfectly.
The view was absolutely amazing! There were 4 people and we all enjoyed our drinks and our food.
The owner came around 2 times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and the food. We would rate this restaurant Amazing!
Amazing staff, amazing food, and comfortable dinning ambiance. Our party of four had the best time, and every part of our meal was just wow. Hate to lump all the staff together, as they were all uniquely special to our exceptional time, but as a whole, what a fun, welcoming, and professional team. Dinner of the year!
Great food! The steak melted in our mouths. The green beans were flash boiled to perfection. Cream Brûlée was creamy but not too sweet. Our server was a fantastic lady from the Ukraine. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with her each time she came by the table.
Great location, excellent service and great menu! Highly recommend!
Wonderful view, much better than the old location, we will always eat there when in
We made a last minute reservation at 5:00 pm for a nice dinner. We were sat in the middle of the room, our server was preoccupied. A wedding party arrived half way through dinner and the noise level went up considerable. There were tables by the windows with an incredible view but I assume because our reservation was made that day, we sat literally in the middle of the room. The food however was very good. They have a great wine list and speciality cocktails. The beet salad was fabulous!!
Good food. Terrific view. Food portions could be bigger.
We celebrated our Anniversary, very attentive waitstaff, the food was wonderful, and the view is just beautiful.
Excellent service by Ian and really great food selections. Husband got elk sirloin which was excellent, I had the special Chilean sea bass also excellent. Staying at the lodge next to the restaurant so we went two nights in a row.
The restaurant was way too bright. There was a candle on our table, but the restaurant was so bright, you couldn’t even see it. It was very noisy, as there was very little decor. The service was incredible. The bread was delicious. Darken the lights, and the restaurant would be ten times better.
Really excellent, the best service I have had in Colorado.
We had a great dinner with 4 of us at Twin Owls. We arrived when it was dark but it seems like the view would be amazing when you can still see it. It's not right in town but worth the drive. Steak was delicious, dessert was great and we had a nice choice of wine. I would go back again next time around.
Quintessential Colorado ambience, great food, prepared perfectly, attentive wait staff, and talented acoustical guitar player (played Mason Williams’ “Classical Gas). We will return.
Twin Owls does not disappoint!! The staff, the food, the atmosphere is all five star!! Cannot wait to return!
Always have visited Twin Owls yearly when in town, since move to new location we found it not as good as past. Always ordered Elk filet medallions, do not offer them anymore as entree. Have elk sirloin which was tuff not as tender. Ordered a margarita from the bar was so strong could not drink it, sent it back to have it weakened down, still could not drink it. Hubby had bread left on plate and he told server he wasn’t finished, she took it anyway. Second thoughts on going back
My husbands steak was burnt and grisly, fingerling potatoes were delicious. His green beans were hard, not done to crisp tender as they should have been. My steakhouse wedge salad was delicious. I did not care for my Elk Medalions, they were warm and seemed leftover like from prior day. Our waiter, Yogesh was spot on and over the top, courteous, patient and checked on us regularly as he should, kudos to him.
Great to see this restaurant open in its new location. New chef and menu but retained some old favorites.
An amazing, uniquely Colorado menu. Fantastic execution and presentation on every dish.
Our server was awesome, the food was pricey but really good and the atmosphere was beautiful!
Everything was wonderful! Celebrating my mother’s 80th birthday and it could not have been more perfect. Food, service, view all fabulous
We’ll be back!
My $26 salmon could have fit in the palm of my hand and was served with green beans.
The bacon wrapped scallops could have been better cooked.
The atmosphere inside is lacking.
Had an outstanding dinner...food, service, wine, and staff. We sat outside. Very safe and comfortable. It’s becoming our favorite restaurant.
Very beautiful views, great service and great view. My only complaint is I wish there was a larger wine selection!
Our meals and wine were very good! Service was amazing! Well worth the price! The bread dip is to die for!!
Food was mediocre. Both husband and I ordered prime rib and it was just ok. Sat at the table for 10 minutes until I asked the girl cleaning other tables for a server. After that service was good.
Would I go back, absolutely not!
Great food, great service, great location, great views
Very nice location and they were great with social distancing. We both ordered the small prime rib and were disappointed in the quality because it was tough.
We were visiting Estes Park and had dinner at Twin Owls, after reading all the good reviews online. We are from Chicago so we are a bit spoiled when it comes to Steakhouses. First of all the ambiance of this place reminds me more of a rustic Bavarian beer hall and not a fancy Steakhouse. The floor plan is open and the chairs are very basic without any type of cushion. The appetizer we ordered (Tuna Tartare) was delicious and the presentation was not bad. However the steaks were not even close to steakhouse quality. On the menu it doesn’t say what type of quality they are offering, but the steaks are definitely not USDA Prime and they are not dry or wet aged. We ordered the ribeye and the New York strip and both cuts were very thin, chewy and not properly trimmed with lots of silver-skin etc. The temperature of the steaks was ok (we ordered medium). The quality of these steaks was USDA choice at best. Basically what you get is a supermarket quality steak with fancy grill marks. I honestly don’t understand how anybody can rate this place 4 or 5 stars and honestly I feel bad for the staff. The staff was definitely friendly and the service was good. However if you expect steakhouse quality steaks then please avoid this place.
Great service and excellent cuisine! We will be back next time we visit CO!
We always look forward to eating at Twin Owls every time we visit Estes Park.
Service was fabulous and our server’s wine recommendation was spot on. My steak was cooked perfectly but my carrots needed to be cut with a steak knife. All of the desserts were wonderful.
Sourdough bread and dipping oil nice.Caprese very good. Dinner salad average restaurant fare. Short ribs and gnocchi very tasty in stew like presentation for $29. 10 oz. rib eye very thin(think skirt steak) $39. Add on of 10 asparagus spear $7. I ordered medium and specifically said pink not red. Server acknowedged. Steak arrived barely cooked and blood rare. Sent back. Came back essentially the same.Third time it came back charred and black. Told server to take it away and forget it. He offered shaved prime rib instead!
When another server brought our entrees, there was no room on our table since bread basket, plate with oil, appetizer and soiled tableware had not been removed. She had to ask for help. Cleared table, received entrees and now no silverware. We had to request more.
Both server and bartender were apologetic and comped drinks and my rib eye. Ruined anniversary dinner will be forgotten but not soon. Very short staffed and disorganized. I may be spoiled since we are used to Midwest beef as in Wisconsin, Chicago, Kansas City, Omaha. Truly thinnest rib eye that I have ever seen. G and G in Chicago would not serve this as a rib eye. As a matter of fact, when we get home, we will make reservations in Chicago for steak dinner to celebrate our belated special dinner. This place needs a rework, but that is only my many years of travel and business entertaining speaking. To top it off, reservations required.
First time at new digs. Same old great food and service. Was a little noisy as compared to previous location but not intolerable.
Excellent and very interesting menu. Highly recommend The Twin Owls; it’s our favorite place to dine in Estes Park.
very good dinner as usual. Like the new location!
Great food and fabulous service. Will definitely return.
We love the new place and will be back!!
A wonderful time sitting out on the deck, enjoyed our drinks and the amazing food.
