Twin Owls Steakhouse
We had a lovely evening with my parents visiting from out of town. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Really beautiful view at the table window of the sunset and an Elk who decided to join us all.
We were early and was seated promptly. Everything was great. Savannah , our server, was nice and recommended our wine and helped us with entree orders. My girlfriend’s 50th bday. So overall great experience!
For the last six years, we have been going to Twin Owls at the current location. This time the food was okay. In our party, we had the duck breast which was dry, hamburger was okay with a dry bun, salmon salad was soggy, and prime rib was dry and looked liked yesterday’s. Overall it was disappointing. Probably won’t go to the new location. Thank you for all of the other wonderful times at the lodge.
Great ribeye steak, wonderful service, great setting. Lots of crowd noise but the guitar was perfect. My only concern is that the veggies were practically raw and the potatoes were overdone. The brocholli was tough and inedible.
Went there for our 41st anniversary and requested the table for two in the balcony. It was great. The prime rib was as good as ever and the service (Sergio) was fantastic. A very special evening.
Our Dinner was to celebrate with a cousin who was visiting us. It was a memorable, beautiful evening, enjoying great food and the love of family!
Good food, good ambience, good service. A bit pricy. Overall good experience.
service and food was terrible particularly for a restaurant with such a high local rating. Filet mignon was chewy and overcooked by 2X. The lamb was overcooked. This restaurant is dated and a complete waste of time and money.
Great atmosphere, and the food was amazing. Lots of GF options!
Have been going here for years. It is as good as it has ever been. In a lovely historical lodge.
Excellent service, reservation through open table great, food great.
Beautiful mountain log room and exceptional food and service.
Please pick up dirty dishes before bring next course. Take offf wine glasses that are not used. Ambiance is great. Asked for medium rare. Meat I received meat that was well done. We returned the meat. When cooking meal. They should get it right first time. When you are paying 40-50 dollars should get it right. Longtime to wait
Phenomenal service and food. Super quaint location. A must if you're in Estes Park.
My husband and I went here for our anniversary. All the staff were very pleasant and the food was delicious. 😊
Steak was over cooked and our server treated us very poorly.
The duck and elk kabob appetizers are wonderful. The ribeye was decent. The prime rib was probably our least favorite thing about the meal, ordered medium but there was no pink. The desserts were good. The reviews others posted about only seeing wait staff to take order and bring food, no wine refills or check ins are accurate but we were ok with that. Bus boy did a good job clearing empty plates and filling waters.
Food was very delicious! Service outstanding! Great atmosphere!
The food was fabulous! We love the feeling you get when dining there. Our waitress was exceptional and all the staff that kept our drinks filled and the food on the table. Wonderful!!
We arrived to park and the handicap parking was not available and the only other parking spaces were up the hill. My friend went in and asked what we should do, we had reservations and didn’t want to leave. This nice man came out and offered to park my car, brought keys back and said he would get it when we were done dining. Found out later he was the owner! What great service! Food was delicious. Service a bit slow, but the restaurant was packed. Ala and all, a great experience!
For service and ambience it is perfect! We had not been here for 2 years and were so excited to return. Sadly, my ribeye was thin and very gristley and fatty and not too much flavor. My husband’s prime rib did not have much flavor and edible portion was quite small though ordered as an 8 oz. size. Side vegetables which were different were not cooked enough. Excellent large portion of creme brulee. We dine and travel in many regions and had such great memories of this place that we were so disappointed. Fortunately we had a delightful and attention waitress!
Great Birthday Dinner celebration !
Food was excellent and dessert was delicious !
The setting is beautiful with mountains in the background. The food and service was superb.
The McGregor Filet was excellent. Beautifully plated with an assortment of al dente vegetables. Our Server was attentive, but not intrusive. A medical emergency occurred at a near by table and the restaurant was extremely busy. The serving team remained focused on their customers while concerned for the well being of the ill person. Great job!
Good and service were good, seating was excellent. Thank you hostess.
Our dinner was fabulous, and our server Yogyese was outstanding! We both ordered the filet mignon and they were cooked perfectly! The roasted rosemary potatoes were delicious too. The fresh vegetable mix (white asparagus, red peppers, green beans) would have been excellent, but the vegetables were very undercooked so we weren't able to enjoy them. Our server was very attentive and a super nice guy! There was an acoustic guitar musician playing background music in a beautiful mountain view dining room. Highly recommend Twin Owls while visiting Estes Park!
We had an OpenTable reservation and arrived a bit early. We were seated right in front of the kitchen door. Then asked to move. The place was not that busy. Overpriced pasta dish and lobster was not so great.
Excellent food and ambiance.
Great atmosphere for all types of dinner dates. The food is amazing and would highly recommend the elk. Had it in a appetizer and wish I would’ve had it as my main course. Will for sure do it on my next visit.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and service. It was out anniversary and they gave us a quiet table all alone.
Restaurant is rustic with lots of charm. Server lacked personality and was not very informative or approachable food was pretty basic. Best thing was the bread and olive oil and seasoning they bring you. The lady who refilled waters was great, nice, and seemed to like being there. We had the filet macgregor and the elk medallions. Vegetable medley was not cooked long enough.
Our 4th or 5th time at Twin Owls. We love taking our out of state visitors there as a great finish to a day of mountain exploring and shopping in Estes Park. Very good service. Couple of forks had tiny bits of dried food on them this visit, but that was the only negative I found. Otherwise worth the trip. Bring $ as it is a tad pricey (very worth it though)!!
The appetizer (scallops) and salad (wedge) was very, very good. The steak was horrible! Something you would find at a 9.99 buffet. The prime rib came with some sort of mashed potatoes that were unedible. The Ribeye was very, very thin and over cooked with a lot of fat on it. On a good note our waiter was excellent and made the evening very nice for us. The entrees are WAY overpriced. Especially for what you get.
Delicious food, and great service!
Our waitress was fabulous but our hostesses were just ok. The hostess did not greet or seem at all pleased that we were there. 3 of our 4 member party enjoyed their food immensely! Again, our waitress made our dining experience fantastic!
Thad was awesome and so was the entertainer. The food was excellent and my wife and I was celebrating our Anniversary and this was the right place to be. Really enjoyed it.
The food was great and the service excellent. We would definitely return.
Hidden gem in Estes Park that we found on Open Table. It’s up from downtown with a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains. Has a great log cabin, fine dining but casual atmosphere. Loved the craft cocktails and the steaks both regular and specialty game me bison and elk.
Twin Owls is a fabulous place for dinner. We had a wonderful dining experience.
Loved the food and the service. Best meal we ate in Estes Park.
