In July 2008, Twigs Tavern and Grille opened to bring fresh flavors in a relaxing atmosphere to Rochester, Minnesota. Featuring Rochester's only restaurant with a dedicated gluten-free kitchen and a diverse menu of small plates, entrées, and the Hot Rock, our dishes feature an innovative mix of cultural flavors from around the world and fresh ingredients. In addition to our lunch and dinner menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrées, our restaurant offers one of the most extensive gluten-free menus in Rochester. All gluten-free meals are prepared by our specially trained staff in a separate kitchen area with dedicated equipment to help prevent cross contamination.

    Food was very good. The hostess was very grumpy. The server must have been new. Appetizers arrived at the same time as the main course. 10 minutes Not 10 minutes after the arrival of all the food, he was back asking if we wanted dessert. My plate was still 1/2 full!! Very poor service.

    Love the patio! This was our third time here, and we were even more impressed with the food, service & ambiance. It's become our meeting spot for our college girls lunch. One comes from LaCrosse & the others come from the Twin Cities suburbs. Love everything about it!

    Had BBQ Ribs again, which did not disappoint. Probably the last chance to sit outside until next year, but I will be back next spring again.

    The prices are great! Very large menu, there is something for everyone hear. Staff seems overwhelmed when we arrived, we had a reservation and our table wasn’t ready. We told the hostess we would wait at the bar. I had to return to the hostess 15 min later to ask about our table (she has completely forgot about us). We did the Hot Stone, which was fun. Overall it was good experience, waitress was very pleasant.

    I will be honest....the only reason I eat here is because my mother in law needs to avoid Gluten and Dairy and they do this very well. She is loyal to Twigs and does not want to go anywhere else. The food is okay. The service is usually very good.

    Had dinner and drinks on the patio. The drinks from their build your own Martini menu are incredible! I would say among the best in Rochester! Joe was our waiter and he checked in often and was efficient and friendly. The food was good and the chocolate cake was delicious! Great service overall and enjoyed a beautiful evening on the patio. * if you're going in August/September and afraid of bees, sit inside. You'll still get a great meal and wonderful service without the pesky guests. We don't have a fear of bees so we were able to tolerate them.

    We appreciate the good food, and especially the focus on gluten free. There is good variety too. The service was good. We usually eat on the patio which is wonderful. It is a little noisier inside the restaurant, unless you're in a booth. We have eaten there more than 10 times in the 5 months. We really enjoy Twigs.

    The Twigs patio is one of my favorite places to eat during the warmer months in Rochester. The ambience is wonderful with all the flowers, plants, and umbrellas. It has a vacation feel. The Twigs' menu is extensive and the small plates are wonderful to share along with a glass of wine and great dessert. Recently I had supper there with a friend to catch up. We felt very at ease visiting for a good length of time and enjoying great food, wine, and sunshine.

    First time eating here. As a newly gluten free person, it was amazing to have a restaurant that gives a variety of choices that are delicious! Highly recommend the ravioli Rosa and chocolate cake! Definitely coming back.
