Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar - Vancouver
Sat by the window. Lovely view and great food! Not too loud. We could talk to each other!
Very disinterested waiter that was more interested in chatting with his buddies than giving timely service.
Best service in the business! Food and drinks were excellent!
Sadly, sub-par. The chili and chowder were only warm. The fries had been sitting out for a while and were limp and cold. Although the wait staff was very friendly, service was very slow. I’m sorry - not great at all.
Nice location and wait staff. A bit expensive and would have liked a few more “traditional choices” on the menu.
It was a gorgeous, sunny October afternoon so we took our friends from Wisconsin for a waterfront walk. We hit Twigs at 5:30 PM, just in time for sunset and happy hour. The prices were super reasonable, food great and with the outdoor heaters, we could sit on the patio in pure comfort. It was fun watching the jets come in and the river traffic go by. One of our friends has some hearing impairment and the moderate noise level wasn't a problem.
Had a reservation but got seated in the bar that had open seating because they had no servers available
We ate outside on a beautiful autumn day in bright sunshine! So some of the rating areas are influenced by that.
We brought 3 of our clients from Sweden to Twigs for dinner. Reservations were made in advance and the table for 6 was ready shortly after we arrived. Our clients had a wonderful experience - good drinks, excellent food, excellent service. The restaurant is in a very nice setting. It seems unusual to get a good view, good food and service all in the same place. Twigs ticked all of the boxes.
Great place and great food and staff
Very fun. And our server, Stacey, was about the best waitress we’ve had.
Food was good, given the usual restaurant style of over salting, buttering.
Price was a bit high. Pasta and chicken for $25 without even a side salad.
Bar was apparently ill-staffed. It was slow and they got my friends drink wrong.
The waitstaff was great as long as you get past the obligatory tattoos and facial jewelry.
The ambiance is wonderful given that it is right on the water front. The only problem was the noise level which was very loud. It was so loud inside we choose to dine outside, but found it to be just as loud. It didn't help that they piped in music to the speakers which sounded tinny and added to the cacophony.
Overall if it wasn't for the setting on the waterfront, I would pass on it next time.
Beautiful location and nice building/decor. Food good but not great.. a little salty and a ton of garlic in the Brussel sprouts (maybe 25 whole cloves - smallish but still!).
We had a great experience with our brunch! We had the Moroccan beef appetizer which was delicious! Service was prompt, and the waterfront was beautiful! I do not recommend the crab Benedict, though. It was really sweet (from the tomato confit?) and a bit off putting. My husband loved the burger, too! Super juicy and flavorful.
Had a great time. Drinks were wonderful, dinner equally great. Server was attentive but not intrusive.
There for brunch on a Sunday. Good cocktails, nice service staff, but food was dreadful. Croque madame was made with a brioche hamburger bun, with the rounded top turned upside down so it could hold the cloying slick of Parmesan sauce (which could be picked up with a fork and keep its shape) and fried egg. Bit of ham and cheese between the buns. Never seen or tasted anything like it. Should be removed from menu or done properly.
Also had eggs bene with blue crab. Asked if crab was fresh lump meat. Was told yes. Was not. Tiny bits of crab that tasted more like tuna fish. Assume the crab came out of a can. Bland hollandaise.
Went to Maryhill tasting room afterwards. Turns out they have a great little menu with real crab—Dungeness. Ordered some steam clams. They were very sweet and tasty.
Nice Vancouver waterfront location. Great for a date night. Not overly crowded. Good food and drinks.
After arriving, my party had to wait for 30 minutes only to be poorly treated by the staff at the front desk. Additionally, they sat us outside in 40 degree weather and both of us in the party were sick the next day due to the horrible dining conditions.
A little hard to hear and a little slow, but it was a Friday night, we enjoyed the extra time to visit and the food was delicious.
Service, main courses and cocktails were outstanding.
We were , however, bothered by the ever present drone looking right down at us during dinner. These should not be allowed near the restaurant
We were also a bit underwhelmed with dessert. Too much caramel and too sweet. Too much sugar on the creme brûlée and fake whip cream!!!
Thanks for looking into these issues. We would gladly return 😊😊
Excellent service as always!
I would recommend Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar ,it's location is the main draw. So fun to sit by the Columbia River and watch the boats go by. The food is good but I had trouble remembering what I, or anyone else at the table had and I think they would agree with my rating. I think the menu choices could be improved.
It is our go to place. We crave the Moroccan beef appetizer and the BLACK AND BLUE COULOTTE steak diner.
We found the service to be excellent, the location is very nice, next to the river. A bit disappointed with the food, lacking inspiration and execution. Poached hard eggs on the Benedict and thick Hollandaise from a mix.
We came in for brunch with friends. Overall great experience, but the food was just average.
Luckily our food was tasty and the river views were great... because the speed of the kitchen was lacking! Our server did a great job, but the food took a LONG time to come out, and then it didnt all come at the same time! Also, our drinks came out incorrectly from the bar.
Very enjoyable. Loved the river view. Can’t wait to go back.
Food could have been warmer, but excellent taste and generous portions. Server excellent, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.
Love this new place on the waterfront! Great all around restaurant and location.
Absolutely fantastic! The view was great, server was friendly, and food was everything I hoped for!
I reserved a table at Twig's at Vancouver's waterfront thru Open Table, when I made the reservation I requested a window seat and stated that it was a Birthday celebration. When we arrived at the restaurant we were not seated at a window seat but rather at a table with a view of the open kitchen, not the view I asked for or wanted. Also, no mention of a Birthday as I had requested. Food was alright but the value was not there. The service was good.
Food was outstanding! Waitress joked that I didn’t lick the plate. Seriously, I wanted to! It was that good! I had a pear and roasted beets salad, mushroom penne, and shared the Drunken Doughnuts for dessert. My only complaint was that they didn’t offer free refills on the doughnut holes! We’ll be back!
My first visit...have tried several time. Since I was having company that I wanted to show off our waterfront to I made reservations 5 days in advance (not even thinking I had to ask for a view). Since I had never been there I assumed it was all one room. We were seated out where people were walking past us in the entry area...NO view or ambiance. I was a little embarrassed. The food was very good.
It was too loud to have a business meeting. I would not hold a business meeting there again. But the food and service is outstanding.
We took my mother to twigs for her 86th birthday. Wish I could remember our servers name… She was great! Food was good, and everyone saying happy birthday to my mom. She was thrilled! Desserts were especially good. We also liked the outdoor indoor aspect, and the great view of the water.
You would think it easy to scramble eggs and make toast. But unfortunately Twigs performed very poorly for our brunch. It's too bad because it is such a delightful setting. Will not return for brunch.
We recently moved to the area, and have been trying nearby restaurants in the Camas, Vancouver and Portland areas. Other than Feast316 which is quite expensive, this is our favorite restaurant. Service and food were great, and the restaurant is very well decorated. We intend to come by sometime for lunch to see more of the view over the water.
Would not go back. Too many better restaurants in the area
We came to dinner with my daughter and fiancé while visiting from Virginia. We had one wheelchair patron in our party, and were treated appropriately and comfortably. Our dinner was served well attentively by our waiter after drinks. We had crab appetizers and tuna sashimi that was most excellent. Mac and cheese, beet salads, and shrimp and mushroom pasta all filled us up. I regretted that they did not have cappuccino. The bill was reasonable, and the meal was worth the expense.
