Great food and service was great also. Have many menu items to check out on next visit.
We had a lot of fun at our lunch! The wait staff was very helpful and friendly. They took care of all our requests. I would make a few tweaks to the recipes to the recipes but they were very good; a few more pears in the pear and beet salad, more avocado cream dressing on the fish tacos. Our friend didn’t care for the bbq sauce on his brisket sandwich…maybe offer that on the side. The French fries were great…crisp and thin…the way I like them.
Definitely get the Drunken Donuts! So good and, though messy, fun to share!
Three of us dined at this restaurant for the first time on a Thursday evening during restaurant week. Was very excited about the restaurant week menu. The Roasted Brussel Sprouts appetizer with a sunny-side up egg on top was recommended by the bartender (always arrive early for a drink at the bar first). So when ordering, I had ordered that but it came without the egg on it which was what I was told made this dish. The Twigs Mezza was good - enough for all 3 of us and the Calamari was OK. For the main course, two of us ordered the Truffle Penne (one with grilled chicken and one with prawns) and the third ordered Grilled Coulotte Steak. There was barely any chicken or prawns on the penne. The steak was ordered medium rare and it came out medium to well done with a scant hint of red wine jus - mushroom marsala sauce - looked nothing like the picture on the website menu. The waiter did ask the chef to prepare another steak and came back with an entirely new plate but still barely any sauce but cooked closer to medium rare second time around. We really were looking forward to a great meal but were very disappointed. However, the drunken donuts with dipping sauces were great!
Went on a Tuesday night, so the restaurant was virtually empty - as was the whole of Grandscape. Restaurant service was friendly, helpful and prompt. We started with a Moroccan beef appetizer. This was a wonderful choice. The presentation was extremely appealing, and the taste of the beef, the focaccia and the fondue was to die for! I ordered The Works pizza, which was honestly kind of generic. I wouldn't get it again. My friend ordered the Grilled Coulotte Steak, and I quickly wished that I had ordered the same. I'll just have to go back - which is something I'll be happy to do. :-)
The food was good and liked the different take on some common dishes. The service was terrible! We had to ask several times for drink refills, after being at the table for 45 minutes (had an appetizer) the waitress came to the table and said something went wrong with our order and it did not go through, so she retook our order. We did not get condiments or sauces that went with the dishes, we did not receive 2 of the sides that were ordered. By the time she came back to check on us, it wasn’t worth asking for. We always had dirty dishes piled on our table and never followed up. She admitted she messed up and didn’t put the order in. We ended up being at the restaurant for 2 1/2 hours. They were out of the dessert we wanted to try (donuts) and told no ginger ale for a drink. It has great potential but not a good visit and even worse service!
Ordered fish tacos, it took over 45 min to make two small tacos that barely had any fish in them and the cost was $16
Servers were apologetic but nothing else was offered
the wings were ok but they were really wet, my wifes meal the chicken was dry, the rice was wet and very bland and nothing like what the description said it should have been, i had a burger, it was just an Ok burger. 2nd time we've been
Service as many mentioned was just simply not good. Very slow and short staffed. They also ran out of linens so gave us what seemed to be cocktail napkins. That was only after asking if we could have them. The food was ok, but overall wouldn’t rush back there based on the overall experience. If the service doesn’t improve they won’t last long in that area.
My wife and I visited Twigs as part of DFW Restaurant Week. Parking was a nightmare on a Sunday evening, with a Jurassic Park exibition nearby. As we checked in to be seated, we learned they ran out of linen napkins, offering instead, flimsy paper ones.
We ordered cockails. My gin and tonic did not have a lime. The drink tasted more like gin and soda. Their restaurant week menu is online, however our cell phones would not receive any signal in the building. Twigs says they have wifi available, but again, our phones would not connect.
We managed to get a menu, and placed our order. I requested the grilled coulotte steak, but found out later, they were out of that steak. Our roasted Brussels sprouts appetizer arrived without the sunny side up egg listed on the menu. The truffle penne entree did not have any broccolini as listed on the menu.
Food was tasty and well prepared despite the omissions. Service was attentive and efficient.
Tried this place because of being included in Restaurant Week - lunch menu. It was a 2 course fare and made sense for lunch. Wife had the salad and enjoyed it. I had the pizza and was not impressed. While it was warm, it was not to a satisfactory cooked temperature. Most of the toppings were al dente, although the crust and underside were overcooked. The crust made most of the pizza inedible. This was the least of the disappointment. We had the drunken donuts and were excited about trying. Five powdered donut holes and three cups of dipping sauces - sounds like yum to me! Well, the menu describes an amaretto dipping sauce that was inexplicably missing. Flagging down the waitress, she came back and explained that they were out of that sauce and we each got an additional caramel or chocolate sauce. The amaretto sauce was the MAIN reason we chose this place! Also, there's a full-service bar within eye-shot from our table. Surely there was amaretto behind there? This is your signature dessert and it's incomplete because someone can't keep a supply of the amaretto sauce?
Highly disappointed. Wasn't worth the price.
The food itself was very good but the service was extremely slow and the employees seemed to lack the want to be there. In this job market it’s hard but they were constantly standing around and doing what looked like tik toks😂. I’d come again but I would hope to have better service and maybe a fuller restaurant.
The atmosphere was good and we enjoyed sitting outside, but the service was extremely poor
Good food, good service, online reservations was easy
Ivan was a really good waiter. They were very busy but he took the time to make sure we were well taken care of.
Whew - it wasn’t great at all. Reservation at 6:45 - didn’t get food until 8… left 8:45. When food did arrive … Salads mind you — looked wilted - below par and missing chicken — which never was even brought to us. Dirty plates….
The good news is we talked to manager and he was very kind - and appreciated feedback. I look forward to this place getting better in the upcoming weeks with his supervision.
Service was poor and food quality was low for the cost of the meal.
Super slow service. Like slooooow.
The parking situation is a beating and would probably prevent me from going more often.
Hopefully they can get the food right in the future. 😕
Our server set the tone for the evening. We went here because we happened to be in the area and it looked good online. Our server seemed like this was the last place she wanted to be. When we mentioned that it was our first time, what did she suggest, she said, "hard to say," and looked away from our table. She just stood there like she was forced to be there. The rest of the dinner was the same. She did not want to be working that night. Despite us wanting to have a fun girls night out, her attitude was such a damper.
Disappointed from having high expectations of the food and service. The service was very poor. Our waters weren’t refilled even once, and the server wasn’t to be found. Everything came out very slowly and the bartender brought us our drinks after we were through with the appetizer and well into our meal. He told us he took off half of the price of the drinks(the tastiest part of the whole meal) because of that which was thoughtful. As for everything else, we don’t think we’ll be coming back. I don’t recommend the pasta although it’s highly promoted by the restaurant. The burger was good, however, you can get a burger anywhere. Sadly nothing special about this restaurant.
Not to mention, this was for our anniversary. The waitress, after learning it was our anniversary, told us “it gets better”. No congratulations or keeping her awkwardly negative comment to herself. Thanks.
The food and service was great! However, it took a long time for our food to be served. The restaurant wasn’t busy, so I’m unsure what the delay was. Nonetheless, dispute the hiccup, I will definitely try Twigs again.
Let’s start by saying there were no one else in the restaurant other than us this should have been an indicator of what to expect. We wanted to order the dip and nachos and were said they are out of both so that was strike one. We ordered wings , some of the wings were not even cooked thru. Strike 2
For our meal I ordered the Nashville style chicken sandwich with a side of salad . Got my order with side of fries the server apologized and got me my salad so I was ok . One bite into the sandwich and I was super disappointed the chicken was dry not even coated evenly with the sauce . The bun was stale I think chicken not cooked thru. Strike 3. My husband had gotten their grilled chicken and avocado sandwich the Ciabatta bread was dry and the grilled chicken was so chewy and dry it was just not a great food experience . I don’t think we will be going back ever.
Service was slow, we waited for a long time to even put in our drink order and they were out of a few options, which happens on the weekend, so understandable. But after our appetizer was brought, we had to ask for plates and silverware and we were brought dirty plates, had to flag our server down to get her to take them, waited, had to flag her down again to get new ones, she brought us bowls and said that they were out of clean small plates. Meanwhile, our appetizer sat and got cold. Mistakes happen, but there was little effort to correct the mistake. On a previous visit, food and service were great, so we returned this time with friends and were embarrassed. Too many other choices in this area, and for this level of service at this price point, we won’t be back unless it’s to sit at the bar for cocktails.
We will not return. Waitstaff was very overwhelmed, food took almost an hour, appetizers came out with food and were cold, waited at least 5 mins for silverware(after we got our four), food (burgers steak and shrimp) were all over cooked. Waitress was trying to serve and bus tables. Very underwhelmed - expect a lot more considering the prices at Twigs.
Seating outside for 10 minutes was horrible. Too many flies. We went inside and waited 35-40 min for our food and nothing came. We didn’t get an update that the kitchen was backed up until 35-40 min of waiting. We asked how much longer it would take to get the food and the waiter said maybe another 20-25 minutes. We told the waiter to forget our food and left the venue. Would never come here on a weekend
The food here is simply mediocre. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken and it had all the heat but lacked flavor. The best thing on the menu that I tired were their french fries and they weren't even hot.
Our server Noah was exceptional !
He was attentive and knowledgeable
Service was slow and mistakes were made (ex: wrong type of fires and the server could not tell the difference between the regular and seasoned fries). That is disappointing as it was not remotely crowded. The food was excellent though.
Great service. Mediocre food.
Enjoyed Father's Day with the family. Everyone loved their food and service.
Great experience. Enjoyed the menu selections and the food was great.
Great experience! The board and drinks were on point and delish! I love you can sub chix breast for a burger! We received our food hot and quickly. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. MAKE A RESERVATION!! This is in a very busy place!
Waitress was rude multiple times when asked about a beer and if they had it on draft her response was “ummm no we don’t have that” with an attitude and laughing like I was asking a dumb question. Then when I ordered an item on the menu(online) she yelled at me and said I was looking at the wrong menu and they don’t have that. The menu was online and the one I got by scanning the QR code. I was trying to order the charred cauliflower. Food was subpar at best. The truffle pasta was very very bland with almost no flavor. Had to ask for crushed red peppers on the side to add to it. We got the portobello mushrooms added and there were two pieces. Location and restaurant are nice and that’s about it but food and service are horrible.
Really average place. Limited menu.
Very understaffed. It was clear. Food came out wrong for us and multiple tables around us. Loud music from nearby restaurants. We sat on the patio and it was very dirty.
There was absolutely nobody in the building. It took 15 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. When he finally came, he asked if we were ready to order food when we had not even been given water. He did not even come back once we did order to ask how everything was and never introduced himself.
One of our orders never came until until we were almost done. There was a black hair in one of the orders and my sons chicken order was burnt.
It has the potential to be a good spot but I would not recommend this to anyone. Food was not great.
3rd time here, service has been slow all three times. Host stand seemed disorganized. “Where do you want to sit? Oh, outside? No sorry. At a high top? No, sorry, all we have is a regular tables....” and took 10 minutes to get the three groups that had walked in ahead of me seated. So just slow and disorganized like the kids were running the show
I ordered their Texas Smoke drink which is very good. The server spilled about 20% of the drink on the table and didn’t come back to clean it, just shrugged when I pointed out the spill. Had to flag down the manager who just shook his head and waived someone over to clean it. No apology or adjustment.
Food was good but not great. They’ve been open for nearly a year so this isn’t “getting the kinks worked out” as we were told
The first time.
Took about 30 minutes before sitting down to actually get drinks, food was another 40. Food tasted good and was plated well but the slow service and lack of customer service was disappointing. When the area is finished out it will be a great place to spend an evening, hopefully twigs steps up their game
Hostesses didn’t acknowledge us when we walked in for the longest. Service took forever. Couldn’t hear the monotone server. Food came out cold.
Terrible service. Ordered a drink and never got it. Asked for the check and had to finally find a manager to get it. Food was just average.
