TwentyTwenty Grille Ratings and Reviews
We were very pleasantly surprised. We expected a “Grill”. We found a varied creative menu from a chef who takes pride in blending unexpected flavors. The bread basket and special butter was an attentive introduction to the care the chef gives to every detail. The appetizers, entrees and desserts did not disappoint and stressed the chef’s passion for food.
Service was friendly and timely between each course. The recommendation for a choice of wine was appreciated.
I recently brought my wife here for her birthday. The food was absolutely incredible! Chef Ron is a true artisan and the flavor combinations are brilliant. My wife and I lived in NYC for years and this is place is better than most of the fine dinning establishments that we frequented up there. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't be disappointed!
Twenty Twenty has been our "go to" favorite for any special occasion and the best part, it never disappoints! The food is always innovative and creative, and Chef Ron always comes out to check. The service is attentive, friendly and unobtrusive. Rhonda and staff are always on hand to make sure nothing is missing. In short, It is always a festive and memorable evening whenever we go!
I hate to be so positive - because self-servingly I want to be able to get a table in this cozy restaurant with limited seating. But the truth is that this restaurant is tremendous! - from the location, to the servers, to the quality local ingredients, to the execution of innovative (but not ostentatious) dishes. Everything a foodie could ask for! You owe it to yourself and try it out (but please don't tell everyone else about it). And please accept my apologies, I know this review seems like it could be a "plant" or "fake news," but I absolutely loved it and can't wait to return!
We were greeted by our very knowledgeable waiter who asked how we heard about the restaurant. He then went into a few interesting details about the history of TwentyTwenty and the owner/chef.
After making our dinner selections, we were brought a delicious bread and butter selection. I should have started my review by saying, everything is home made! The bread which was served warm and this evening home made butter, called fried chicken butter. Very tasty! I started with the Roasted Pumpkin coconut soup, another flavor explosion.
For dinner I had the Butternut Tagliatelle and my hubby had the Lamb, which was recommended by our server. Another flavor explosion. We were only in Boca for a long weekend, and had 3 dinners out, this was by far the best! 5 star rating!
Our whole dining experience was wonderful. Or waiter was very knowledgeable and made some excellent recommendations. Our hostess, the chef's wife, was very welcoming and engaging. The Roasted Pumpkin Coconut soup was delicious. My wife had the Grouper entree and I had the Rack of Lamb. Both dishes were outstanding. We finished up a memorable meal with the profiteroles which were served with a delicious chocolate sauce and a berry medley.
TwentyTwenty Grille is the DEFINITION of a "Hidden Gem"! It's a tiny place hidden in the middle of the Royal Palm Place shopping plaza in downtown Boca but it's worth finding: the food is EXQUISITE! The Chef has a Michelin star and his staff seems to be a good match. The food is consistently well prepared and presented; it's very creative - the Chef's combination of flavors is amazing! There is always an interesting, little "amuse bouche" to start the meal and a little homemade "Intermezzo" sorbet to clear the palate: the owner often challenges the guests to try to guess the various flavors comprising the sorbet and that's kind of fun... The menu changes every few months but there is always creative dishes on the menu to satisfy just about anyone. I've had the Rack of Lamb, the Tenderloin of Beef and, most recently, the Snapper and Pasta - all have been excellent! I highly recommend TwentyTwenty!!
This was our first visit to Twenty twenty Grille but it won't be the last! We checked out reviews when trying to find a new place and the reviews were great, this one will only add to their list. It is a small restaurant in Boca Raton and we sat in the patio section - 3 - 4 tables outside. It was a cold night so the clear coverings were pulled down and the heaters were on. It was comfortable, but the hostess (and co-owner) brought blankets to the table next to us to keep them warm. The chef is her husband and he is truly creative with food. It has been open 4 years and most of the staff has been there the whole time. Our waiter was excellent and very informative about the food and the wine with good recommendations for both. He told us the chef likes to change the menu up ever so often which is great for foodies who don't always want the same old choices. I started with an arugula salad that was delicious, and unlike any I had before. The scallops I ordered were also so tasty and prepared just right. Between courses they brought tasty bites to clean the palate-worth going just for those, very innovative! I finished with a cream brulee that was probably the best I've ever had. Be sure to check it out, but be sure to make reservations, it's always booked.
This is by far one of the best restaurants I've had the pleasure to experience. The staff are friendly, and actually seem happy. The owner/chef visits each table. There are special preparations given and there it is fun to try to determine the major spices in the intermezzo. All that aside the food is excellent. Being a vegetarian my usual options at many restaurants, while good, can become rather boring. Here at Twenty-Twenty, the pasta dish I chose was amazingly delicious. This restaurant will not disappoint.
AMAZING and creative food!!!
This restaurant is WONDERFUL, if you are looking for creative and delicious dishes with explosion of flavors in every bite, then look no farther this is your spot.
Every single course was fantastic.
The Chef came out several times to discuss the dishes and to see how we enjoyed it.
The service was impeccable, his wife is the hostess and Pastry Chef and was so attentive, friendly and courtesy.
I dine in restaurants a minimum of 5 days a week and easily get tired of the same old tired menus that 99% of the restaurants offer.
This is the 1% trust me, you will NOT get Chicken Parm, 16oz NY Strip, or grilled Bronzino here.
I POSTIVELY will be a regular here.
We have been coming here since they first opened. It gets better every time. We always look forward to the culinary experience from Chef Ron and his very charming wife Rhonda. They do everything right from the 5* service to the amenities that separate it from the rest.
Chef Ron defines the term Contemporary American Cuisine. Rhonda is consistently walking around overseeing the service and chatting with their clients.
Started with an Amuse Bouche that Ron was experimenting with to go on the next menu with changes every 6 to 8 weeks. It was a grilled octopus in a tamarind sauce, OUTSTANDING. I can't wait to return and order it as an entrée.
For starters, I had the “Frank and Beans” ,Smoked Duroc Pork Belly Sausage, Root Beer White Beans, House Ketchup N Mustard. Awesome flavors and very funky. Brilliant creation. My wife ordered the Roasted Pumpkin Coconut Soup ,Thai Tamarind with a Maine Lobster Jam. I truly liked it but my wife found it a little too spicy for her taste. Also they serve 2 types of bread with a butter du jour, believe it or not , that night it was fried chicken butter, really couldn't taste the chicken.
Next Chef brings out his intermezzo or sorbet du jour and you try to guess the ingredients. We got 3 out of 4 of the ingredients, tomato, basil raspberry and we missed pear, very refreshing.
For mains, my wife ordered the Jarlsberg Snapper, twenty twenty pastrami/russet potato, pickled cabbage, roasted tomato 1001 island, and a caraway crisp. What a combination of flavors that exploded in your mouth.
I ordered the Alabama Wild boar chop, pumpkin brine, grand marnier cranberry chutney, sweet potato roesti,, bacon gastrique and green beans. . Very good with bold flavors that compliment the boar.
Both the food and service make this charming hidden gem, #1 in both Boca Raton and Palm Beach County.
Thank you Rhonda and Ron for always hitting it out of the ballpark.
We have been here only a handful of times. Each meal seems to be better than the last; that is hard to do since they started with near perfection. There are 5-6 really good restaurants in Boca Raton: Twenty-Twenty is at the absolute top of the list. Creative preparations, superior ingredients, outstanding non-hovering service, and overall a pleasure to be here. We'll be back...often.
We first went to Twenty Twenty Grille a little over two years ago and it quickly became our favorite restaurant. If you want creative, high end food in a casual, relaxed setting, this is your place. The servers are knowledge and the combination of husband and wife team of Chef Ron, in the kitchen and Rhonda running the front is friendly, caring and first class all the way! Highly recommended?
Amazing restaurant. Every dish is prepared with great care. The chef prepared several foods for us to taste in between courses which made the experience even more special. The staff was incredible. They were very attentive, yet not at all stuffy or pretentious. We couldnt have been more pleased!
Overall an excellent restaurant to recommend for the variety and creativity of its menu as well for its efficient and cordial service from all the staff members as well as from the chef owner and spouse.
A distinctive place to go when you do not want to be disappointed.
Tiny restaurant, tables mostly outside on cramped sidewalk. Nice bread, rack of lamb, so so grouper. Desserts too rich to eat....need ice cream with the chocolate cake, the creme brûlée was odd tasting and cold!
Very very expensive for what you get eating on the sidewalk!
A bit out of the way, but not hard to find. Small indoor space but plenty of outdoor seating. Very creative food and attentive staff. Not sure how often the menu changes, but plenty of variety. Attention to detail in the presentation. Worth a return visit when I return to Boca.
Fantastic meal & all around wonderful experience! Rhonda makes you feel like she’s known you for decades and is hosting you for dinner at their home. Ron is a magician and he and his team really know their stuff; the service was first-rate and the food is out-of-this-world good!
Our favorite luxury restaurant in Boca. The autumn menu is fantastic again: I had crispy foie gras (out of this world) and New Zealand lamb rack, my wife enjoyed the pumpkin/coconut soup and the cornish hen. Everything was excellent. In addition and not to forget: the (complimentary) amuse gueule (which is brought by chef Ron personally and you have to guess the ingredients) as well as the (again complimentary) sorbet. Thomas, the long-standing waiter, deserves a special compliment: he is simply outstanding, and - ladies will appreciate that - very good looking.
