I've been to Twenty9 about a dozen times over the past 2 years. My last two visits were disappointing. On this most recent trip, my food was very good but my husband's was undercooked. The server took it off the bill, which we appreciated, but it took quite a while for her to visit our table so we could alert her to the problem. Since this is our 2nd visit in a row where we were disappointed, we likely won't be back.
We look so forward to Sunday evening dinners on their enclosed terrace room with its romantic lighting and soft country background music. This week we enjoyed delicious Scottish Salmon entrees with sides of specially prepared asparagus thanks to marvelous gourmet Chef and thoughtful attentive Servers. Should be noted that other ample-portioned menu offerings are made with freshest ingredients and --from our perspective --always unforgettably scrumptious!
The food was fabulous. We got together with friends and all of us had a great meal. The portions were wonderful, the menu has tons of choices. The service was fabulous, we did not feel rushed at all. Would definitely go back.
It had been a while since last visit. Both wife and I had the salmon, it was excellent. Forgot their food is really good. Won't stay away so long next time.
This is a great find - it is tucked into an office complex but is scenic (restored barn), has very good food and service, a really nice selection from a menu-perspective and has music a few nights a week. Great appetizers and specials. Definitely worth the visit if you live in the Wayne PA to Frazer, PA areas as an easy drive.
Everything on the menu was delicious thanks to a marvelous chef and our thoughtful server Justin. We love their seafood in particular that is always cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.
My husband and I went to Twenty9 on Thurs. after Valentines Day. Immediately when we walked in I loved the ambience! It was a hidden gem! We were led to our table on the back porch, which is enclosed. The lights in the ceiling, the fireplace/heater just made it so romantic. Our server was very attentive and our meals were delicious!!!! We had a perfect night!
This place needs to figure out what it wants to be. If I’m going to spend 32-38 dollars (with no salad) for an entree I shouldn’t have a pool table next to me with kids playing on it. My 38 dollar steak was to fatty. My wife had the fish which was good and our server was excellent. Be a bar or be a nice restaurant but don’t be what is essentially a sports bar with $28-$38 dollar prices.
Egg rolls were the biggest hit. Mussels were a little sandy and broth could have used more garlic. Very good service
Their French onion soup is the best. The cheese isn’t so thick that you choke, the broth is light as broth should be, not thickened up like at so many other places.
Good food. Service was ok. Overall 4 star average.
We have given Twenty 9 several chances to win us over. This past week would be our last attempt. The cocktails were terrible and tasted like cough medicine after we gave a specific recipe to the waiter. I ordered my meal Chicken Stephen, with sauce on the side. The meal arrived with the sauce on the chicken. The waiter immediately took the plate back to the kitchen and said, "they missed that." The meal was returned and it was clear that someone had simply scraped the sauce off the chicken and shrimp without remaking the plate. The chicken, shrimp and vegetables were cold and not very good. Very disappointing to say the least for a meal that costs $28 and is a signature entree. And worse than that, my husband is celiac. He ordered Seafood Fra Diablo Gluten Free, so over rice, no pasta. He made this very clear to our waiter, Ray who was rude throughout the night. The seafood and sauce came in a bowl with the rice on the side. In the bowl of sauce were two pasta noodles, clearly not gluten free. Again, another disappointing visit to Twenty 9 so we are through with giving them another try. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We’ve always enjoyed our meals here. Tonight was no exception. We couldn’t believe how quiet it was 2 Saturdays before Christmas. Our dinners were delicious.
The meal was absolutely excellent. My wife had a filet mignon that she insisted was the best she ever had while my salmon seemed to melt in my mouth. This was our 2nd time there and we will absolutely 'll go back.
Made a birthday reservation and was seated next to a doorway. We brought a special bottle of wine but our Waitress told us no corkage on Fridays, so OK. Appetizers and salad were delivered on top of each other, instead of separately as asked. Bread was brought third. Took our time splitting those, and then waited 20 minutes with empty dirty dishes for the entree to arrive. Steak was cooked properly, but the 3 medallions and 3 scallops were all very small for a $36 option. No complimentary drink or desert for my wife’s birthday - but they did write “happy birthday” on the bill, which was slapped on our table extremely fast.
Waiter was excellent, very accommodating - turned overhead music off for my parents, brought out pistachios to hold us over till food came and was very knowledgeable about drinks and the menu. Food was very good with nice presentation.
Food and service were very good. We had Scottish Salmon and Veal Chops which both were
excellent. Will go back.
I always have a great meal here with excellent and friendly staff.
Burgers are amazing
My husband and I went here for our 5th anniversary. It was our first time here so we were excited to visit. It was my mistake that I didn't read the fine print on the groupon stating one per table. I purchased two for my husband and I. When I asked the waitress if they would make an exception because I made a mistake, her manager was unwilling to bend. It was my anniversary and you would think they would make be willing to at least offer a free appetizer or drink or something to keep a customer.
We ended up ordering from the bar menu but was charged the cost of the regular menu. I didn't even feel like complaining as my anniversary dinner was already ruined. We ordered oysters on the half shell which tasted dirty with a bad aftertaste. I've had them at Sullivan's before and they were amazing. Here they tasted like they had been picked out of the Schuylkill River. We then got the crab meat chipotle flatbread. It was so overpowering with the taste of cheddar that you could taste nothing else. After having such a bad experience, I was not about to even think about ordering a meal. Unfortunately I still have a groupon to use so I guess I will have to stomach it once more. The music was sub par at best sounding like careoke on a cruise ship. Honestly the waitress was not bad. I know she felt bad and kept telling me how nice I looked which didn't help the situation.
I had bought a cake to have delivered to the table for husband but we were so disappointed that we ended up taking the cake home and celebrating at home with cake and champagne. We didn't even take the cheese tasting flatbread with us. We each only ate half the flatbread and left the rest on the table. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Even more disappointing that it was on our 5th anniversary. Make sure you read the fine print on the groupon. If you want an awesome dining experience for the same price with much better food and service, go to Sullivan's in King of Prussia.
We split everything to be able to try a variety, everything was good.
Because of a private party we were seated in the bar area and it was very loud.
Phenomenal drinks, food, and service.
Food was good. Service just ok. Forgot several things. Waiter disappeared for a long time.
Absolutely delicious anniversary dinner. Highly recommend for Sunday evening dining in the elegant indoor terrace room. Wonderful soft folk songs from the 1960s provided background music yet allowed for comfortable conversation. Highest praise for our thoughtful and helpful server Justin. We asked him to tell the gourmet chef how much we both enjoyed our main Scottish Salmon entrees accompanied by a marvelous assortment of bakery fresh breads. The Ricotta Cheese Cake with raspberry and jam topping was the best my husband has ever tasted. It should be noted that primarily weekday evenings the noise level can get energetic due to popular happy hour crowds in their huge bar areas that are separated by doors from the terrace area. However, Sunday nights it is very quiet in dining area.
They accommodated a last minute party of 6 and everything was great, we had wine, beer, the blood orange margarita, several appetizers, and dinner. Everything came out wonderful and our server was amazing. They accommodated our food allergies. It was a lovely meal we will definitely go back.
Great to eat on the upper deck overlooking the dancing. Table #43!
Our Scottish salmon entrees and pumpkin pie desserts were wonderful. Our server Patti was very kind and helpfull. Only problem is there is nowhere to escape the high noise level owing to pretty interior primarily of hard wood and glass. Food was so enjoyable that we did not mind too much not being able to converse with one another during dinner.
Food and service were excellent, a handful of good lunch specials
Lovely evening with colleagues on the outside deck on a warm early Fall evening.
Waited 45 minutes and no food. Dining room was empty on a Friday night at 7:30 - should have been our first sign. When we asked why it was taking so long a manager told us 45 minutes was acceptable we shouldn't complain. At that point we just left. Can't comment on the food but the attitude of the staff was awful.
Needed to arrange quick lunch and this was a convenient location for all involved. Had never heard of this restaurant so I took a chance. Overall, everything was good. I would recommend for casual get together.
Great night. Food was awesome. Waiter was great! Will go back!
I have always had a consistently good meal here. The food is fresh and creative.
Very nice menu but pricey. It seemed like it couldn't figure out what type of place it wanted to be. Menu was "high end" in terms of selections and prices, but the tables themselves were almost too casual. It's a huge place- too big almost. Big bar in the middle with sports on the TV's all around. Very loud piped in music. We were looking for a casual dinner, with a little ambience. There really isn't any. It was good and worth a try. Not sure we would go back.
Our waiter, Justin, was super. The good was a little uneven, but generally good. We used a Groupon which made it a good value.
good service: food was fresh. I had the Sea Bass with artichokes and risotto - was outstanding!!!
Brought my wife here for anniversary dinner. Good, tasty cocktails. Appetizers were well rounded and good mix of flavors. Both of our entrees were cooked well and delicious. We'll come here again when the outside is open.
The food and the service were both great. nice upstairs deck so not too noisy but we could hear the music. Good drinks. Nice view, we will come again.
Food was delicious, perfect portions, superior service and relaxing atmosphere.
felt like i was down the seashore with the band playing
