We love the food, the service, the ambience and the prices! This is one of our favorite restaurants in the desert, and it never disappoints. Delicious Caesar salad, large enough to share, and tasty chicken flatbread, also large enough to share. Service by Eric was over-the-top, and the warm welcome by Gilbert, both make us want to go there every week. This is definitely a hidden gem in LQ.

Being that this restaurant is located on a Waldorf Astoria property and that average dinner prices were $25-30 per plate (without drinks) one would expect a certain level of accommodation. We were seated quickly and greeted promptly by our server. After our drinks were delivered we did not hear from or see our server again. Our meals were delivered by someone else, we had to flag down the manager for a second drink, never had our bread refilled, never checked on how our food was, we were served before the family next to us (they order spaghetti, scallops and a cheese pizza) and our meal included a pork chop, sat with dirty plates, had to stop another staff member to ask for our bill (and for the table next to us).... it was terrible service all the way around. The food was rather bland. Sometimes service will GO a long way for making up what the food doesn’t deliver on in the overall experience but NOT this time. I do not recommend, nor will I return, here.

Waited 15-20 minutes before receiving menus and 20 minutes before waiter took our drink orders. They were out of the Fried Chicken special by 8PM. Served salad, apps and main course before receiving our drink orders. Hanger steak was tough to cut even with a steak knife and rosemary chicken had unrecognizable pieces of chicken smothered in grain gravy. Wait staff was very nice and polite...but something wasn’t right in the bar and kitchen.

The service was extremely slow. the server knew nothing about the menu or drinks. our water took over 15 minutes to get the the table. we were about to leave because we have a 3 year old but the water finally showed up. very little attention was given to us. would not go back not worth the price..

We had a lovely Easter lunch. We recently had a death in the family and l lifted our spirts. There were several options for dining. Outside where it was lively and active. We chose inside in the back so we could talk.

The food was just "OK", it may be attributable to the fact that we were there on a prime holiday (Easter Sunday). We typically eat at Adobe or Morgans and have had a great experience in both of those locations.

Twenty6 is described on the Waldorf Astoria website as: "This modern American bistro showcases innovative approaches to familiar favorites - using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Kick back in the restaurant and adjoining bar, where the atmosphere is as enjoyable as every dish." In reality Twenty6 is a loud, rowdy sports bar with average food at best.

My partner and I originally wanted to stay at the La Quinta Resort, but chose another hotel since we were booking last minute. I'm sure glad we passed on the La Quinta Resort. What does any of this have to do with my review of Twenty6? Just read on.

My partner and I chose Twenty6 because of the description on the Waldorf Astoria website. Hilton way oversold this place. We started by ordering two bottles of beer, oops they ran out. Okay I guess that can happen, but this is the Waldorf Astoria and it's a Saturday night. Someone isn't doing their job. They brought us a different beer, without asking, and they were opened so I guess they expected us to take their substitution. They did comp the beers, but the experience was subpar.

For an appetizer we chose the crab cake. It was horrible. It didn't taste anything like crab. It was inedible. For dinner I originally wanted a steak, but after the beer and crab cake fiasco I went with a Caesar Salad with steak. I was okay, but the lettuce was wilted. My partner chose a burger which was fine, but not $19 fine.

Lastly all of the food was staged just outside the kitchen right next to a dirty overflowing trash can. Just disgusting.

First we were a party of 6 and could not make a reservation for 6 on OpenTable at the time we wanted to be seated so our group decided to split into a party of 4 and party of 2 and then we were able to make OpenTable reservations. When we got there we could see that there were tables open that would allow us to all sit together but the hostess rudely insisted that this could not be done and told us our best option was to sit in the bar. We sat in the bar and waited a long time and finally had to flag down a waiter to take our drink order at which point we decided we had better place our dinner order right away rather than wait any longer as it was getting late and our teens were hungry and tired. We waited and waited never seeing our waiter and having him stop by to give us an update. Finally after being there for almost an hour we decided to ask about our food as we noticed people who had ordered after us had already received their meals. Our waiter told us he would send the manager over. The manager never appeared. And our waiter continued to hide out and avoid our table since he knew were not happy. 70 minutes after we arrived at the restaurant we received our meal. When I’m on vacation I’m not in a rush but would expect to be served my food in a timely manner with the hotel restaurant understanding and respecting that their guests would like to relax and have a good time. In the end they did reduce our check by 30% to apologize for the wait but this was not a great dining experience and I think people staying at La Quinta might want to consider other dining options because this happened to us on a night that didn’t even seem that busy. Service was a big disappointment from the hostess to our waiter to the restaurant manager. I think La Quinta should be able to do better.

The service was awful! We were seated immediately and given a menu. We then sat for almost 20 minutes with nothing, no water, bread, offer for a cocktail. We were left alone. Finally someone brought water. 10 minutes later, now 30 into our visit. The waiter took our drink order only. Believe me were ready to order food. No exaggerating, it was over 20 minutes before our drinks arrived. After slightly over an hour he came and took our food order. Yup, nearly another 30 minutes before we received our salads. Hot food came 2 minutes later. We sent it back to stay warm because our salads literally just arrived. The server realized that we had just received our salads and offered to hold our dinners. Long story short we were over 2 hours for a quick bite. Waiting for water in the desert is silly, but having to wait so long for each subsequent item was inexcusable. Food was ok but not anything special. Won't go back as staff was truly oblivious to us as customers and guests of the resort.

This is a very nice restaurant in the La Quita area near the tennis tournament. The outdoor patio was vibrant with a great bar and waterfall. Indoors doesn't look as special as the patio so I would recommend that. It was a beautiful night and the food was great. A bit pricey but that is what you get for this area!

Birthday dinner with a friend. Food was fantastic and they accommodated my requests with no fuss. They even asked if my food allergies were severe enough that cross contamination would be a problem. I’ve never had a restaurant go to this level of detail to make sure I enjoyed my meal. Very refreshing and I will be back! Yum!!

26 is a solid dinner restaurant, and it is the main breakfast and lunch restaurant at La Quinta
Resort, a very nice resort with a storied history of movie stars in residence and the like. Our food quality was really good. We had roast duck leg and dover sole. Both dishes can be recommended. Javier, our waiter, was excellent. His knowledge of the menu was thourough, and service throughout was of a high order. All in all, a very pleasant evening.

This restaurant is the dinning workhorse of the La Quinta Resort. The only real breakfast alternative on the resort grounds - and the breakfast is good, with prices naturally matching its convenience. However, we had reserved seats for a New Year's dinner. The reservation was honored in a timely matter. The wine was on part with restaurants in the area - overpriced and of a so-so quality for most bottles in the $50-75/bottle range. The food was just OK for a a prix-fixe of $79/pps dinner. The appetizers (we had scallops with wild mushrooms) were good but what chef is compelled to put all that the on a bed of mashed potatoes? The fish was good but what's the story with an hard to define sauce? The fillet mignon was overcooked - again with lots of mashed potatoes topped with creme-frais of some sort. Desserts equally unexciting. Not bad for a $500 tap for four.....or is it? Enjoy your morning sun, skip the sunset.

Made a 7:15 reservation for Christmas day dinner and arrived almost 10 minutes early. Sat at table for 25 min with no water or wait staff. Started to get up to leave and waiter came over and said they were too busy and if I wanted to order food it would be at least 30-45 minutes. Merry Christmas and Goodbye! Wasted the dinner hour with no dinner... Can't rate the food as I never received anything!

This turned out to be a horrible choice for dinner on Christmas Eve. 1st the menu price for prime rib fixed prix was 59.00 on open table. The dinner was actually 68.00. The food was the one bright spot. Too many children, so noisy we were screaming to each other. The cocktail were watered down and bad. My husbands wine was so terrible he did not drink it. For 300+ dinner for 3 was egregious given the horrible atmosphere, and terrible drinks! Last time to go to visit this particular restaurant. There are too many wonderful restaurants in our Valley to visit this place again. I cannot recommend unless you like crowded, noisy lots of children surrounding you for a nice dinner with friends. When we spoke with our waiter about the price difference and the terrible wine and bad cocktails. . . attitude was too bad it is what it is. So too bad for you we will not come again.!!!!
