My fish was beautifully served with lovely side dishes, but it was overcooked.
The atmosphere was magical. Great food and service. We will be back!
Excellent in every way. The outside seating was very nice. Can’t wait to go back
The service at this restaurant was wonderful - warm, attentive, efficient. Great people. We loved this place and would recommend to friends ONLY if they sat outside. The patio is charming with its umbrellas and flowers. The inside decor is quite stark, not appealing at all. If you want a charming dinner ambiance, ask for outside seating.
VERY NOISY. Lunch order took 35 minutes. Grouper Sandwich very good. Buffalo cauliflower was drowning in sauce so that’s all you tasted. Cole slaw with cauliflower was on the hot plate so was warm and not appetizing!!
Food was excellent and well-presented. I would definitely eat there again. Ambience was nice but a bit too open (tables inside were behind a large bar with hotel stayers wandering in and out of the dining area.) Value was good for the portions and quality of the food.
nice location for a casual meal at La Quinta resort. good food, nice variety and comfortable outdoor atmosphere.
Sea bass was over cooked. shame. the rest of the meal and service was good as was the setting.
Our server, Brandon, was wonderful - very attentive and thoughtful. We sat on the patio and got to experience the live music from the patio next to the restaurant - all in all, a great evening!
It’s the time of year where the weather is perfect. We enjoy the ambiance of sitting on the patio having dinner listening to the music from the Palm Plaza. The chicken quinoa was tender and warm. My wife had the salmon cooked medium and said it was delicious. Brandon provided extra special service by giving our dog some home made doggie treats. Great evening and a fun crowd.
Always a delightful experience to lunch on the patio at TWENTY6 with its lovely vistas of gardens filled with flowers while enjoying delicious food and wine.
Lovely resort with great service. The food is expensive and not much variety.
We obviously caught this restaurant on a bad night. We had booked a this dinner over a week ago realizing it was Valentine's Day and we were on a travel day to get to this resort. We didn't have extreme expectations but unfortunately we stumbled into a staff issue of some sort.
We ordered fairly simple meals (Beef dip with fries and Fish and Chips) which for some reason caused an issue for the kitchen. We proceeded to wait for over an hour for our meals, which as expected were fine, but definitely not worth the wait. They were delivered after apologies from the waiter and manager, but after seeing at least two other parties being served with much more elaborate meals and whom had been seated at least 20 minutes after us left us pondering our bad luck. We do not blame our server or wait staff as they could not make the meals themselves. I will give credit to management as they did only bill us for my two beers... and I appreciate that they recognized that they had not lived up to what I have to believe is a much higher expectation for a restaurant in a Waldorf Astoria resort. Perhaps a different night, and in different circumstances we may have had a better experience but unfortunately I can not make a positive recommendation based on what we saw that evening.
Group outing. We requested patio but were seated inside. Had Valentines Day Surf and Turf. Thought it was lobster and filet. Turned out to be 2 small shrimp and overcooked filet. Might try again with seat on patio and regular menu.
It may have been an off night in the kitchen for this casual dining option in the upscale environs of the world class La Quinta Resort and Spa. While the menu is varied and enticing, my entree sized quinoa chicken salad was gummy, the chicken (what there was of it) dry and basically tasteless. My companion had the same issues with her chicken based order. Neither of us got through half the serving. I was looking forward to the Mendocino County Pinot Noir by the glass selection...but it was near undrinkable (to our waiter's credit, he honestly advised...after I complained... that it had received mixed reviews and was poured from a keg.) I appreciated its quick replacement, but the substitute had obviously spent some time in the opened bottle...at least it was from a bottle.
The decor is unremarkable, but clean lined and pleasant. Our appetizer was tasty and our waiter gracious. Menu pricing is above average, but not out of line with the restaurant's resort setting, For those reasons, I would still include it as a dining option to others wanting to have a bite at the hotel, but mention that the food may not meet expectations.
We enjoy sitting outside on the patio to be able to listen to the music from the Palm Plaza and as the weather warms up it was a perfect evening. We had the salmon and chicken quinoa both were delicious. Brandon provided exceptional service and we’ll be back soon.
Good food and excellent service but a little too noisy just because of a playoff game - no biggie. Great place.
Quiet January evening. We had dinner on the outside patio and the weather was just right. I had the chicken quinoa and My wife had the fish and chips. both were excellent. We followed with expresso coffee and a scope of vanilla ice cream. I had the shot in the dark coffee. Brandon provided attentive service as we listened to the sounds of the band coming from the Plaza Hilltop. All in all a great evening.
Caesar salad was terrible - limp lettuce and everything else about it was poor quality.
We stayed at La Quinta and read the online info about TWENTY6, thinking it would be a good place to eat on New Year’s Eve. Wrong. It was more of a cafe setting, and I don’t mean a French cafe. The lighting was bright, the tables were poorly set, the prix fix menu was boring, wildly overpriced, and barely edible, and it was a sad place to have a holiday dinner. Not a good experience.
We were there New Year's Eve and ordered the special menu for that night. While expensive, the food was great. We were favorably impressed.
Everything was great ! We did think the pricing for our simple food and drink was too expensive.
I paid $22 for a "grouper" sandwich that was a bun with a 4" square of tasteless fish and $12 for a half glass of house chardonnay. The side of coleslaw was equally tasteless. My husband paid $29 for a "steak frites" which was apparently flank steak. His fries were the best part of either meal. His half glass of merlot cost $15. We live year round in La Quinta and would have been happy to return to the resort had the meal been worth what we paid for it or if we had paid for what it was worth. We also waited a half hour for our food to arrive at our table in an otherwise empty indoor room. There were plenty of waiters but I assume the kitchen was understaffed. My expensive chardonnay grew warm as we awaited our food. The flagrant disregard for the intelligence of the diners at 26 was insulting. Stay away!!!
We had a fantastic Christmas dinner with family. The service was superb and the food was excellent!
It seemed as if folding tables with huge bars underneath made for uncomfortable seating. Possible that this was bar area as very noisy with TV and people noises. Too cold and rainy to sit outside. Expected higher quality for a Christmas meal as far as comfort.
Christmas lunch - booked well in advance served on the tables without tablecloths - presumably saved for someone else? Food was good but no effort at all to make it seasonal and service bordering on us being an inconvenience having turned up.
Christmas Day, food was not well prepared, salad ingredients were not fresh, breakfast foods were generally cold, dry or hard. Service was very dedicated, but the meal and dining area was very disappointing.
Our server was excellent! He explained things very well and checked back with us regularly. I’m sorry that I don’t recall his name.
The food was good for some but just OK for others. The scallops were lukewarm. It wasn’t enough of an issue to send back but makes you think twice about returning.
The problem is with the restaurant itself. It is almost too casual for the price. It is very noisy and there is really no ambience. Plain tables and chairs, the booths are gone.
We sat outside on a beautiful day in December and had great food, bellini's (I recommend the strawberry) and the service was excellent. I ordered a peach bellini originally and it was a little sweet, so our server switched is out for a strawberry. I also ordered the waffle with strawberries which included devonshire cream. Just delicious!
Friday night and we sat on the patio even though there was slight rain. The band started playing on the Palm Plaza at 6. I must say the music on the Plaza is always there- heat or cold and in slight rain. We had the beef tip sandwich and it was delicious as well as the chicken quinoa salad. My go to favorite with a bottle of Seghesio Zinfandel and great service by Brandon and the friendly service of all staff.
Not like it used to be. Prime rib night advertised but they did not have the special. No more booths . Very few dinner entree choices. Too noisy.
The food was amazing, and service outstanding!
Family vacation in Rancho Mirage
Family outing for dinner of 9 including kids ages 6 and 3. I was impressed our waiter asked our 3 year old Granddaughter personally what she wanted to order for her meal. So she ordered her own meal for herself! That is a first for her. Thank you! The food was delicious, the restaurant was upbeat, fun and yet relaxing for the family after a full day out on the trails. Something every restaurant should be able to claim is we could actually have a conversation across the table. This does not happen very often. Thank you!
Thanksgiving vacation
Went as a group, food was good! Resort is higher cost than what this restaurant would be if off property.
Most enjoyable
Food, drinks and service were amazing! We started off with the Calamari trips appetizer. chimichurri and tartar sauce to dip. Unreal! Husband had the Steak Frites, cooked to perfection. I had the Sea Scallops, also grilled perfectly . Server was attentive without being intrusive. Shout out to Justin! Thank you for making our anniversary dinner so enjoyable!
Perfect weather and music from the Palm Plaza made this an enjoyable Friday evening. I had the chicken quinoa and my spouse had the French dipped sandwich. Both were excellent. We enjoyed our traditional Seghesio Zinfandel with excellent service from Sarah and the rest of the staff. A pleasant evening.
Always enjoy dinning here. The food, service & ambiance is top notch.
Perfect weather, music, food, wine and service from Brandon. We will be back. We enjoy the whole experience and the entire staff makes us feel at home.
