Excellent pre show venue with great variety of food for all budgets. Seasonal changes to menu keep it interesting.
Excellent service, really good food. Nice lunch before going to the museum.
We like Twelve-Eighty. Have been here several times. It's a great segway from museum to symphony or theater. In our case, we check out the new exhibits at the High, have dinner at 1280, then go to a show at the Fox. Food is always good and service staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our last visit, we had an overly attentive waitress. Hovering to the point that we felt hurried. I'm imagine she was trying to be attentive, but it was overbearing. Other than that, we like 1280.
You know I hate to leave a bad review. I think it was our server. We ordered drinks that never came! We had to ask about them. They came after our meal started which is not usually what happens. OUr food arrived cold, and we had to send one of them back and then we had to continually beg for service. Believe it or not we were the first to arrive in the restaurant and the last to go. Something was definitely wrong. The food was good but it was spoiled for us by the bad service. The manager offered our drinks for free which is a good attempt at saying they were sorry. Nobody else in the restaurant seemed to be experiencing any problems but us.
It was weird.
A great place to go if you're going to the Atlanta Symphony
Food very good as usual; service excellent, my go to spot before the symphony
We are frequent diners here but this time it was not up to par. Food delivery was very slow and not according to the menu. Not sure what happened but it was less than wonderful. Hopefully better next time.
We enjoy eating at Twenty Eighty prior to attending an Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performance on April 6th. We arrived 30 minutes late due to a bad wreck on I75, but they still had a table reserved for us. We sat in the dining area of the bar. My husband had the filet medallions with steak fries and asparagus. I had the short ribs with polenta and root vegetables. Both were so delicious, we ended up sharing. To top off the evening meal, we had the cake soaked in three milks and caramel topping. Couldn't have been better. Our waitress was personable and so much fun! Thanks Twenty Eighty for an amazing evening. We'll be back. Paul and Lorraine
Our favorite stop for dinner before an Atlanta Symphony Concert.
Wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends, we were there on a quiet evening and got wonderful service, absolutely delicious food, and stayed until closing just chatting and enjoying a leisurely meal. I know it's much busier on symphony and theatre nights but we were coming off of a lovely afternoon at the High and newer fortunate to end our time together at Twelve Eighty!
A perfect place for lunch after Easter service at next door First Presbyterian Church.
The Saturday lunch crowd was minimal and we were assigned a table next to a family in the bar area. The youngest in that party, a female devil child, began to jump up and down and wail a few minutes after I sat down. She soon elevated her cries to shrieks. The mother seemed to think this was cute. My hearing is impaired and the noise was painful to me. I believe the restaurant should impose an age limit on children if their parents don't care to control them. When I complained to the host and manager we were moved to a featureless banquet room and served there. This was acceptable but not desirable. Portions were large, the cooking acceptable but not memorable. I know the restaurant can do better because I've been there often when all was well.
Staff was excellent and so was the food. Very enjoyable experience.
Beautiful surroundings and excellent food and service. One of our favorites!
The food was great and the service was outstanding. We enjoyed the small plates. Pasta and hamburger we're done to perfection.
As is usual, Table 1280 was very good. We shared fried calamari, it was very good although a seafood "joint", Steamer in Lady Island, SC is perhaps better. That restaurant is widely known in the area, and deservedly so. I had seared salmon on quinoa with wilted bok choy and mushrooms. Excellent. My wife had grilled chicken, stacked with egg plant Parmesan, red sweet pepper sauce, accompanied by sauteed zucchini and yellow squash. She was very pleased. The coffee with the meal was very good, and we are critical of coffee. While the meal was not inexpensive, given the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the excellent, unobtrusive service it was a good value. Plus the membership discount was welcome!
I have eaten at Twelve-Eighty a number of times and always enjoy it. I really like the Table Salad and the shrimp and Grits were excellent this visit. Service was commendable. Thank you.
I really do like Table 1280, but our last dining experience was not enjoyable due to a pre-wine dinner reception in the same area where we were dining. The noise level was really loud and our party could not even have a conversation. Our server and the manager both apologized profusely, but we wish we had been seated in the regular dining room, not the bar area. We will definitely go back, as the food and service is stellar and it is a really fun restaurant to visit, but hopefully not when there is another function in the same room where we are eating.
Excellent creative dishes with good daily specials. Can accommodate special requests easily.
We ate here before the symphony last Saturday night. Both my husband and I had a hamburger because we only had an hour before the concert started, It was exceptional. We like the proximity to the High Museum of Art and the Atlanta symphony. The food is reasonably priced given the location and is very good.
Excellent food, craft drinks and wines. Excellent value and portion sizes. The perfect venue before an art exhibit, symphony performance or theater show! Highly recommend!
Very good menu choices. We ordered the Red Snapper which was perfectly prepared with
a great sauce and cheese grits with vegetables. The crab cake appetizer was also very tasty
with an unusual sauce. Service was very attentive and helpful . We plan to eat there again.
Great place to dine before symphony. Staff very accommodating!
we had a mixed experience....my entree was poor but my husband's was excellent....we thought the cocktails were seriously overpriced for a very short drink but the wine was very good. easy to access before the symphony or theatre but needs help with the food
Delicious menu, very friendly servers and hosts. Attentive waitress. Good wine list. Quiet enough for conversation before the Symphony performance.
My two girlfriends and I ate here before going to the Atlanta Symphony and had a wonderful experience. The staff is professional, welcoming, and attentive. We had the chef's special soup, fish stew, which was hearty and tasty on a cool rainy night. And for entrees we had the scallops, salmon, and the garden salad with steak. All three were prepared and presented beautifully. The scallops were melt-in-your mouth tender. We were able to talk without being distracted by background voices. This is the perfect place to eat before seeing a concert or play.
We always have excellent service and awesome food! The entree specials are particularly delicious!
"Twelve Eighty - Inspired Dining made for a great, authentic, enjoyable dining experience and lived up to its name. Everyone was exceptionally great. The food presentation is indeed a work of art, deliciously leaving you craving even more 🌞."
I mentioned about a show and got prompt service.
I had the salad with chicken which was a lot of food.
We'd go to Table 1280 even if we weren't there for pre-Symphony or Alliance Theater dining. A beautiful setting, reliable and varied food, great drinks and knowledgable servers make for a great occasion. Minimalist decor, always something to look at out the windows, lots of bright light and white throughout the restaurant. The front desk people remember us, the manager circulates throughout the restaurant, very friendly!
The food was delicious. The staff was excellent and very hospitable. Excellent ambiance provided by the food, atmosphere, and design.
Great except for the noise level. I keep commenting but nothing happens.
Outstanding customer Service!
My daughter and I had a delicious dinner before the Symphony Concert. The menu was good and we enjoyed the ambiance. Great location when going to the Symphony.
It was quite busy but where the server had trouble getting to everyone, the host staff stepped up to help. Service did not suffer and we had a wonderful time!
Service and food was great as always. I do have one complaint. I typically get the 11:30 am reservation slot, but they literally don't open the door until 11:30. That's odd when meeting clients there and you have to stand outside until that time. Why not open 15 minutes early? The first reservation can remain, but folks can at least come inside!
Fabulous pre concert dinner. Candace our server was outstanding and the food was delicious.
Food and beer were delicious and the price was reasonable. We enjoyed our late lunch.
We had a wonderful "catching up" lunch and our server Renato was spot on with his recommendations and service. Will certain frequent 1280!
Aafter waiting 35 minutes for our order, the waiter assured us it would arrive momentarily. We had informed him we needed to be done well before 8:00 concert. Finally i spoke to restaurant manager who said the order was lost & she would comp our meal. It finally arrived 25 minutes before the concert began. Meanwhile everyone else in the restaurant, even those who arrived after we did, had been served & had left.
We won't be going back to this restaurant.
