Our waiter was outstanding! I'm sad to say that neither of us remember his name but he was phenomenal!!
We went outside of our comfort zone and tried new and different dishes and each was fabulous! The zucchini carpaccio was outstanding, that was our favorite! The food was just the right amount, we were very satisfied but not stuffed!
Amazing all around and would gladly come back!

We made reservations and had a nice dinner before a show at the Arsht Center.

What a great hidden gem. This restaurant is located on the top floor of one of the Miami Dade College downtown campus buildings. Some of the best views of Downtown. Classy ambiance.

Great food!

Our experience at Tuyo started poorly with the security guard in the lobby. The greeting was hostil at best. "What do you want?" Well, we're dressed up, I can't believe that too many people wander in to the lobby at 6:30 that are not going to the restaurant. Once she called up and massacred our name, we were pointed to an elevator, "That one". Okay..... The restaurant itself was very nice. The party next to us was loud and using foul language, but that's not in the restaurant's control. Our waiter was good. I think for a restaurant that's shooting for 5 star service, "I'll be helping you tonight" is probably not a good introduction. I don't need help eating, I need someone to wait on me. Perhaps I might suggest "I'll be your waiter this evening" as a better introduction. We were there the day after Valentines day and were disappointed that they still had a special menu not the regular menu. We skipped Valentines day on purpose. There were too many rules, "if one person orders the tasting menu everyone has to", "you have to place your entire order at the same time".

The food was good overall. My Black Sea Bass was just warm enough, if it had been any cooler, I would have sent it back. Everything else was very good, it wasn't the "excellent" experience we'd expected however. Overall we didn't feel that we received full value for our money.

I was expecting something amazing and probably this was my problem. I was surprised by a very expensive gin and tonic that had no special preparation. The amount of food was ridiculously small for the price. Personnel was very nice. The nicest was the security guard. I don’t think I can go back or recommend this place to anyone. I feel sorry for this but that’s my impression. I won’t write any public review about this.

first time there, and definitely would be back. what i hear from coworkers is that the menu is always the same thus their every now and then visit.

This place was fabulous. This restaurant is part of the culinary school so everyone is on their game. So food, service etc is wonderful. The offerings are ample and the dishes are exceptional. Best foie gras ever. Tuna done to perfection. Oh and the baklava...still bringing a smile to my face. Go and enjoy.

Fabulous restaurant! The food (both the presentation and taste!) were superb, service was great, and location has a beautiful view. Prices were also very appropriate. Loved it!

Service was very slow. The waiter offered our meal free. Very nice of him.

The service from the moment we walked in off the street was amazing. Our waiter was well informed and treated us like family. We had a concert to go to and Tuyo was the perfect match to the amazing concert. Food was amazingly different and very tasty.

Tuyo is usually very good...Beware of New Years Eve... $497 for 2 adults with 1 glass of sparkling wine... tonight the food was truly MEDIOCRE... I don’t like bad reviews but I wish I had not done this so maybe I can save someone else $500 !!!

Not impressed. Food was good not great. Service was lacking. Poor water service, mixed up table service, no room between tables so wait staff constantly brushing my chair back. Finished off the evening with a waiter not paying attention and spinning around hitting my wife In the back of the head with his elbow. Not a good end to the night. In their defense they did profusely apologize and did remove my wife’s meal from the bill but overall we were just not really impressed.

They don’t tell you this but when you arrive to the entrance of the building they have a security guy ring up to the restaurant. You don’t get to go up until they have your table ready. This is not a big issue but if you arrive early for dinner they have no bar to wait in and nothing for comfortable seating while you wait for security to let you in.

Elegant!! Memorable!! So special!! Lovely cocktails looking out from the 8th floor. Interesting menu. The tuna pizza was such an unexpected treat—and scallops were delicious too.

Great food and service. The scallops were awesome. The beef dish was great too. Service was very good as well. The restaurant has nice views. We went for a birthday and the extra touches from the restaurant were very nice.

I had requested a table by the window when I made my reservation/When we got most tables by the window were empty. I asked the host to sit in ones of those tables but he said there were ALL reserved. Throughout our dinner we noticed that they have empty tables by the window (we were there for around an hour and a half)

Excellent meal and service. All was outstanding.
Except the valet parking guy decided to leave his post and go down the street to McDonalds to get dinner while we had to wait quite a long time for him to finish his dinner before we could get our car.
I probably won't be doing valet there again, and probably will not be able to eat there again as there is hardly any self parking and no disabled parking.
Otherwise, this is my favorite restaurant in Miami and I'm sad I may not be able to eat there again.

As always, a peaceful view of the Miami skyline, wonderful service and delicious food. They manage to combine flavors in unique ways that are always a surprise and never disappoint.

The experience at Tuyo was beyond horrible. The service was horrendous and so was management. This establishment seems to only care about its regular patrons and does not care about growing the groups of people they service and people feel welcomed. I would never recommend anyone to go there.

The food is excellent and the service is at the level of a michelin star restaurant.

What a pleasant surprise. Tuyo is a hidden gem. Perched atop the Culinary Institute of Miami it offers a stunning view of the Frost Museum, the Arsht Center and surrounds. The food is creative and delicious. Great cocktails and a very complete wine list.
