Italian
In 2006, friends Gianpaolo De Felice and David Mayer dreamed of opening a seaside outdoor restaurant that would serve authentic pasta reminiscent of what Gianpaolo's Napolitano mother always made. They materialized their dream with Gianpaolo's wife, Gabby Karan's sophisticated and visionary aesthetics when opening their first restaurant that year. Gabby created a concept of incredible interiors that are chic and intimate. She married art with culture to create her special approach to dining. Today, 10 years later, Tutto il Giorno is a proven success. Its secret sauce is its great staff and their passion for the restaurant.

Unfortunately aside from our server everyone else including the manager is miserable at this place!

Miserable with an attitude also.
We ordered expansive champagne and they gave us dollar store champagne glasses. I have actually never experienced such a thing.

NYC has many exceptional places and this is first time I’ve experienced such misery - restaurants sevre Prosecco in nice glasses so I don’t understand why they don’t have at least some good glasses.

The food is good and our server was great but I wouldn’t go back.

The food here really shines. The space is so beautiful. I feel as if I am on vacation. It doesn't feel like you are eating in New York City. It's definitely not a cheap eats place, but very much worth it. My only complaint was that at some point the music became quite loud. We asked them to turn it down and they did eventually.

The ambiance is beautiful and the food was good; however the seating was disappointing. The reservation was made well in advance and when we arrived we were placed at a "community" table. We asked to be seated elsewhere but were told we could not move to another table. This table was awkward as we were sitting very far across from one another due to with width. Ultimately, we shared a long table with another party. Our parties were separated by a vase. We were hoping to celebrate a special occasion with an intimate dinner but it was anything but.

Amazing service, atmosphere, vibe and food! I don’t remember the last time I was so impressed with a restaurant. The lobster caprese was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back.

I made reservations at this restaurant for my boyfriends birthday. The setting looked beautiful and romantic. When we entered, we were greeted by a not so friendly hostess and to our left was a large
Moët & Chandon flower wall ad with led lights. Unfortunately, our table was seated in the entryway, right next to this brightly lit flower wall. For some reason, they decided it was a good idea to set three tables in the entryway of the restaurant for couples. We didn't even have a view of the main restaurant area which was 50% of the reason why I booked this place. After being told we couldn't get a seat in the main room for another 45-50 mins, we decided to leave because I couldn't believe they would try to seat people in the entrance where you feel the cold air from outside, next to a bright led light killing the dim romantic lighting mood. Even the couple next to us weren't thrilled about their seats even though William the restaurant manager tried to convince me otherwise. Overall, very disappointed. We ended up next door to Attraversa and had a wonderful time.
*** I rate the food at a 3 because I had to rate it something. Didn't eat there. I also rated the ambience at a 3 because where I was seated was a 1 and the main area was a 5.

My wife and I went for an early dinner and made our dinner choices from the brunch menu. The food was delicious! The cocktails were unique and very good. They do love the families attending brunch there with the children, even having a clown for entertainment. We were seated away from the families, thanks to a well meaning Maitre’d. I would love to return to try the dinner menu.

The restaurant was amazing, food was amazing as well. Definitely want to go back. However, it was my fiancé’s birthday and I asked them for a little dessert with candle (without him noticing) but they never brought. Ruined the surprise and I had to ask again, but in front of him. Disappointing.

Tables are too close together. I saw a few people get asked to be moved because of it. The food is perfectly fine but it used to be a lot better, seems to have changed since about a year ago. Also we felt rushed during the meal, courses came too soon after we’d ordered them. The place has a really nice atmosphere though.

We made 2 phone calls to the restaurant to let them know we'd be late. Both times we were put on hold and they never came back to us. We were placed at a table in the bar near the front door on a very cold night. We were freezing! The maitre'd refused to switch us to another table. The food was ok but we had to wait a long time for our main course and then they forgot our side order of artichokes which they finally brought after we had finished our meal. All in all not a great experience!

We dined at Tutto il Giorno during restaurant week and enjoyed the experience. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere - polished yet in a somehow relaxed way. We stuck with the restaurant week menu and ordered a salad and the Tuna Tartare for apps and then the Tortelli and the Branzino entres. . All were excellent and well presented. My only complaint was that the Tortelli portion was too small - only 3 pieces so since we had ordered the fish neither of us were fully satisfied. Service was very attentive without being intrusive. Do they think they could use a little more polish at the hostess desk though. How you are greeted as you enter is important and the hostess did not rise to the level of the rest of the experience. Seemed annoyed and distracted. On the whole it was a good experience and we will return.

The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived (only 3 tables were seated). The only two table options we were given For where to sit were 1) right in between two tables with customers and 2) one table away from them. The customers were loud.

By the time we left lots of other tables were still empty which were far away from the noisy customers

I experienced the worst customer service here. They were super rude and made us wait for a table for almost 1 hours even when we had a reservation made already. They took forever to bring anything we asked for. I would never come back here.

Tutto is nothing short of divine - was here most recently for New Years Eve and the menu was perfection, the ambiance was vibrant and classy, and the service was unparalleled. The restaurant shines on non-holidays as well, this is one of my go-to favorites when I want a chic and delicious evening in NYC.

What a magnificently beautiful restaurant! I've been to Sag Harbor and loved everything about the place and our meal. Here in NYC, we had a nice table and opened with a delicious salad. We couldn't stop talking about how lovely the place was and how good that salad was. We then both had the striped bass. The menu did not indicate there was a shellfish along with the fish. No one had asked about allergies. The staff took care of our allergy issue with another fish without the shellfish. Unfortunately, the striped bass and the accompanying vegetables were sloppily served. The fish was not prepared properly as it was flavorless and the vegetables overcooked. Desert too was not up to expectation. Then as we had just gotten our coffee and tea, we were politely asked to leave so that the next seating could be accommodated. Now it was New Year's Eve, so we understood there were two seatings and couldn't linger, but they certainly could have allowed us to finish desert and coffee/tea without the pressure. We will not give up on this restaurant though as holiday dining can be challenging, but we were extremely disappointed.

We visited on Christmas Eve, so a little out of the ordinary, but the wait staff and kitchen clearly were not prepared. I can’t imagine that the restaurant would be any busier on a normal weekend, and the menu was limited, so not sure why so many mistakes were made. We were ignored for a good ten minutes once we were seated and while the food was good, we watched the tables to either side of us (who were very close to us!) have issues like the wrong dishes served out of sequence - things not coming out of the kitchen at one time, etc. There were some complaints to management that we overheard, but the manager did not seem too concerned. In general not a relaxing or enjoyable experience, and this was the second time for us. There won’t be a third.
