Tuscan Prime Italian Chophouse
The service was impeccable and the cocktails were well prepared. Unfortunately, none of the several menu items that we ordered met expectations.
Been there twice ate the same thing. First time it was great this time not much flavor.
The best restaurant experience I have had in a very long time. The food was exquisite (I never use that word in restaurant reviews). You can taste the freshness of the ingredients (again, something I never say in restaurant reviews). The flavorings were the most authentic I have had since I have been in Italy. I MUST try.
Tuscan Prime is an absolutely incredible find and welcome addition on Las Olas Blvd. From the moment we entered this beautiful restaurant, we were greeted warmly and escorted to our table. Ovi, our server, was spectacular, making recommendations from the menu, from starters to main dishes and dessert. For an appetizer, we chose the Prime Meat Ball, which is HUGE and very tasty, served with an Italian tomato sauce that can be drizzled on top. After that, my guest chose the Lamb Ossobuco, which was so tender and delicious, she said it tasted like it came directly from one of the finest restaurants in Italy. I selected the seared scallops which were also delicious. Of course, we were too full to get a dessert but what I saw at other tables looked scrumptious. And, as I looked around the restaurant, I saw happy customers as all seemed to be getting the great service I did. Will definitely be back again!
Very good brunch menu.
So good! We'll be back. We especially appreciated the service.
The food was delicious and the welcome very nice.
Servers are professional and friendly
I recommand TUSCAN PRIME !!!!
My first time dining at Tuscan Steak. Service was slow. Waiter brought the sandwich all wrong . Manager apologized .
Will give restaurant a second chance ‘
Server was very nice but seemed a little insecure essentially read the menu to us. Otherwise, a nice dinner.
The 6 oz filet ordered medium rare was delivered medium well. The apple strudel took and inordinate amount of time to reach the table after ordering and I’ve had more flavorful octopus appetizer at other restaurants.
This was our first time at Tuscan Prime Italian Chophouse, although we had been to the previous restaurant at this location, 401 Grill, a number of times. The new incarnation is a marked improvement. Although the space is not radically different, some nice touches have been added. The food is also a cut above the quality and inventiveness of 401. The most outstanding element was our server, Eliot. He was charming, friendly, helpful and attentive. A very nice dining experience.
Nice very clean romantic well put together place. staff and management was great food not really tasty but I like to taste my seasoning. Drinks good and everyone was so nice and professional
The service was wonderful. The avocado bruschetta was a hit. Everything was not really great. We eat a lot of Italian and this is not a place I’d visit again. Had I not been starved once we arrived I probably would not have eaten the food. There was a least a full cup of sauce remained after I ate half the pasta. Also it is overpriced compared to some of the other nicer restaurants with similar menus. I do think if they had a better trained kitchen staff the experience may have been better.
Finally got to get to this yummy restaurant. Food was excellent, and we had a great waiter . They did a absolutely beautiful job on design and ambiance Definitely returning !!
It was my second visit and the restaurant and the quality is the same, Very good!
It was my birthday. I couldn’t have asked for better service. The food, drinks, and wine were also outstanding! Will definitely go back.
First off the service was horrible. Our server greated us by letting us know if we did not see him it was because he was also taking care of a 6 top. Well I'm sorry if you can't handle your 2 tables but that shouldn't compromise my experience. I asked him for a glass of water and he flat out said no and then when I looked at him like he was crazy he said there is a boil water allert and they were out of water.. Again that should no compromise my experience. If you can serve water as a restaurant then maybe you should get some bottles or shut your doors.
Then I had some questions about a pasta dish because the menu is not explained very well and instead of answering my question he replied "if your looking for a good pasta you should get this on" and pointed to the most expensive pasta dish on the menu. Now I wasn't born yesterday and the fact that he just ignore my question was a dead give away he did not even care what I had to say so I asked the question again and told him I did not want that pasta he was offering.
My boy friend ordered the saltimbocca which is a dish he will always order when it is offered at an italian restaurant and the menu did not explain this but the ham on top was not pancetta it was prosciutto. which is totally different from what he is used to and he did not like it.
Then we ordered dessert... I asked the waiter for a menu and he said we have tiramisu and I asked him again if he had a menu and he replied with another dessert they had. Finally I asked if they had affogato on the menu and he said no. So I asked if he had ice cream and he started listing all the flavors then I asked if he had espresso and he said yes so I told them then bring me a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a double espresso and Ill make my own affogato. He brought them seperately with one spoon and we never saw him again so we had to get up and find another spoon. He came to clear our plates and we asked for our left over chicken and he never brought it back.
Hi Nicole, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback from your recent experience. We are beyond sorry to hear your experience wasn't the best and the customer service you described is definitely not what we strive for. We are already working directly with management and the owners to ensure training and customer service are revised ASAP so this does not happen again. We would love the opportunity to make this up to you and will write to you to see if we can help turn this around!
My major criticism was that our appetizers came out very quickly before we even got our drinks. Other than that we had a very good experience and will be back.
We went last night for my friend and my birthday celebration. There were 4 of us and we were like kids in candy stores ordering a ton of food and sharing.. the hightlights were definitely the octopus.. tender and flavorful we had to get 3 orders we loved it so much. The Arancini I personally could have a bucket of those and a movie and call it a date night.. the scallops with Brussels and pancetta, just yum! My birthday buddy got the ossobuco and I guess it was good because he ate all of it (and it was large) without sharing any of it 🤣🤣🤣.. the chicken parmesan also got a thumbs up .. the cocktails were creative and delicious! The staff were attentive and friendly even bringing dessert with large sparkling candles for our celebration. The lowlights were only that our stomachs could not hold more and we had to stand up when we were done!
Really wanted to like this newer Las Olas restaurant. Overly breaded, seasoned, and chewy calamari. The porcini veal had an odd flavor. The lobster Mac n gnocchis was over cooked. The branzino special was “ok”. The best part of the meal was the pistachio gelato which was quite authentic. A shoutout to our server Preston. This fellow was terrific. Attentive, energetic and a good conversationalist.
Dinner last night was amazing. Everyone loved their food, gnocchi, filet and tuna. The chef prepared the gnocchi two different ways that were not on the menu to accommodate preferences.
The menu selection ja limited and not creative. The food was fine but $12 for TWO shrimp added to a salad.
Came for light bites and happy hour. We tried most appetizers including the truffle pizza, calamari and the beef carpaccio as well as the Strawbattini drink which was yummy. Enjoyed everything!! Will be coming back for dinner soon. Great ambience and service was A+!!
we sat outside and loved it
food was amazing
service was really great as well
there was enough time between courses and did not feel rushed
overall a must go to
will be back on my next trip to ft lauderdale
Their avocado bruschetta was AMAZING! The service was great. Definitely very happy we chose this place.
We had excellent service on the Friday night we dined. The porcini chicken is a must! It’s served with a truffle sauce, tender chicken, and mashed potatoes. They bring you fresh sliced bread with a warm tampenade. It’s a hip elegant atmosphere. They offer 1/2 off at happy hour in the bar area.
Disappointing. First, an Italian restaurant shouldn't smell like a Movie Theater. There is a large popcorn machine on the bar when you first enter the restaurant so that is what you smell. And if you stay long enough you can experience the strong buttery popcorn smell for a second time. I liked the decor/atmosphere, especially the high tops in the bar and outside area. The chicken piccata was extremely bland and not worth eating. The chicken parmesan was averagely good. The beef carpaccio was blend needing salt, pepper, lemon anything to give it taste. It is a new restaurant. I will try again.
Could not get our dirty martini request right, even after we gave them three opportunities. Totally forgot one of the entrées which one of the girls in our party didn’t get her meal till after we had finished ours and when they did in fact bring it out it was terrible.
It was my second time in a week to Tuscan Prime. The food is delicious. The service was slower for our food and our bill, but there may have been other things going on that we weren't aware of. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant for lunch or dinner. It is a beautifully decorated restaurant. The hostesses are very nice.
Solid meal with excellent service. The lobster ravioli stood out.
Service with Ruben was excellent. Food was a mixed bag. Fried calamari very good. Bread was good, as well. Large meatball dry and tasteless, though the sauce accompanying it was good. Veal Saltimboca salty and Veal with Wild and Porcini mushrooms was bland. With so many better choices around, we are not in a hurry to return.
just opened about two months ago and really a beautiful place with great service. Food is varied and for the most part good. Both my husbands and my sides of spaghetti came out cold and hard which we both were surprised with as they have many pasta dishes on menu and I would have thought since they were not crowded at all that the meal would have been hot when served.
Best Lamb Ossobuco in Fort Lauderdale. Great food and top service one would expect from a great restaurant. Operations Manager was very attentive and welcoming, we highly recommend this place while in Lauderdale. Aloha!
Caleb is a great server. Food exceptional.
The place was great and the service and food were excellent
Food was so so. Ordered NY strip steak & it was over done & way to thin a cut
Dinner and apps were fantastic. Drinks were also great. The choice for desserts were lacking and the apple pie was on the chilly side. Which they said was normal, but we were not prepared for it to be that cool. But we would definitely return. The wait staff was very attentive and polite.
Food was excellent. The service was okay, but the waiter was obviously unhappy because we did not order drinks or heavy appetizers. he tried to up sell everything.
Delicious food, different items on menu, great service
Our server Sarah was incredible. She made our dining experience there very enjoyable.
