What a disappointment. We recently went to the Seaport location for my son's 11th birthday. We made a reservation and got an email notification that our table was ready about 10min earlier than anticipated, which was great. However, we were not seated in the lovely dining area but rather in the bar area with all of the adults drinking and watching football. The table also bordered the hallway to the rest of the building, and it felt like we were literally dining in a random walkway. I asked if other tables were available to move as I didn't feel the environment was ideal for two young children, but we were told no because they hadn't be cleaned. However, all of the other patrons/tables of 4 seemed to find a seat in the main dining area except us.
It took forever for the waitress to come to our table, and then we didn't have a wine menu. Each time she left us it took an extraordinary amount of time to make her way back; however, it wasn't all that busy. Other tables managed to get bread easily but after two attempts, we finally managed to get some (and that was very tasty!). After being told of the extensive list of items that were no longer available (including our wine!), we were able to order.
My husband and I shared the burrata, which was a disappointment - the outside was so tough you could barely cut through it. My boys got the bolognese and the lemon chicken and broccolini pasta off the kids menu. The bolognese was fine albeit very heavy on the tomato sauce, but the lemon chicken was barely edible. The sauce was more like a soup and the broccolini over-powered it. My son managed to eat some of the chicken and broccolini but couldn't stomach the pasta.
My husband got the frutti di mare. At $54, we were expecting more but it was one small piece of octopus and lobster. My butternut squash ravioli was fine - nothing notable. The boys enjoyed their desserts - both got the chocolate cake. We won't be going back.
We came specifically hoping to get the truffled gnocchi dish. After ordering they told us they did not have it. I changed my mind to bolognese. There was practically no meat in it, it felt like I was eating ziti and tomato sauce for 28 dollars. Server never came to ask how our meals were. When we ordered dessert we wanted raspberry sorbet. Again, told us they were out of it. Disappointed in the service and the food options that we had to choose. Server was not friendly at all. Poor experience for a seaport restaurant.
Very good service friendly staff at the restaurant
Disappointing service and food, on a very slow Monday night. Serviced refused to bring a birthday dessert (that we were willing to pay for) with a candle for us to sing happy birthday to our guest whose birthday it was.
We’ve been to Tuscan Kitchen before the pandemic so we know how the restaurant looked pre-COVID. We are careful eating indoors even though we are fully vaccinated. We specifically choose Tuscan Kitchen because the description said “limited number of seated dinners,” “distancing maintained in common areas,” and “extra space between tables.” This is NOT true. The restaurant was just as packed as it was prior to COVID. All the tables were full, no space between, or evidence of social distancing. I wanted to leave, but my husband noted that we’d had good food and experiences in the past.
As for the food, we started with the “warm carrot & fig salad.” The salads didn’t have any figs or the hazelnut vinaigrette. When we inquired as to why, they said it was because I had noted an allergy to pine nuts and juniper. They had assumed an allergy to hazelnuts (not true). This didn’t explain the lack of figs or why my husband’s salad wasn’t made normally. They agreed to replace the salads. When they brought them out again, they were good, but of course we had to wait. The manager came over at that point to check on us which was nice. He didn’t have any suggestions to help or appeared to do anything to change the issues we were having (explained more below), just sort of apologized? Sigh. They didn’t have enough wait staff. We asked other wait staff for knives, butter, extra bread, and salt and pepper, and other small items - multiple times and they weren’t brought. Only our waiter paid attention. My husband’s steak was overdone, but at that point it wasn’t worth having them redo it. Our desserts were comped - which we did appreciate- but it was my birthday and typically one dessert is comped anyway. Although specified in the reservation, our waiter was unaware of my birthday until he asked us if it was a “special” occasion. Our waiter was the high point of the night.
Good Food , Good Service , Not many Vegetarian options were there for our vegetarian friends !
Always great food and great service. I've been coming here since it opened and have never been disappointed.
Christian our waiter was awesome and the food and ambience were great!
I ordered frutti di mare seafood plate, the food portion of the pasta was small. I ordered before and it was enough portion for one person. Thanks
We had an amazing experience celebrating our 29th anniversary. We were treated to a romantic window seat, complimentary champagne, and a complimentary dessert with a chocolate drizzled anniversary message. Our table had an anniversary card placed on it when we arrived with signatures from our wait staff. The general manager, Charlie, hand delivered our champagne and wished us a very personable happy anniversary. The service was exceptional and food amazing. Thank you all!
Brunch was great and our server was exceptional!
The restaurant is beautiful. Calamari is my go to appetizer, and I must say, theirs was not the best I have ever had. The special pasta was oversalted and the lobster overcooked.
The burrata cheese appetizer was very good and I loved their panne cotta.
Best service ever!
Beautiful restaurant with wonderful ambiance. Very friendly staff. Some of the food was very good and some was just okay. I got a ravioli dish and you could tell it sat under a warmer for too long, the edges and tops of the ravioli were hard/crispy. I would give them another chance.
Atenciones fuera de serie, Diego nos dio un servicio espectacular.
Hi, beautiful restaurant. Nice views. Tuna tartare was good, so were little necks. Burger was adequate but overpriced. Service was friendly, yet spotty. Especially as the place was far from busy on Sunday afternoon.
Our waiter was amazing and very a comparing with an anniversary desert. The food was great and very prompt. The drinks were delicious and not watered down. We got seated in a very cute spot by the window and had a great time. Thank you Tuscan kitchen tou never disappoint
Spent my Birthday dinner here. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. Service was very nice. Food was good not amazing. Calamari was tasty. Scallops was good the pasta as well. My coffee martini was the best of all. The mule was okay. Wish they would do a special touch for a bday.
Wait staff inattentive. They didn’t take our coats. Food was very salty. Only asked us for drinks 1 time.
Food was ok, but way way way over priced for what it was.
delicious food, great service, manager was a very cool dude
The food was outstanding, but the service was only mediocre and the waiter never returned to see if we needed anything after the food was served.
Place was great and food was excellent. Only disappointment was the bartenders did not know how to make some martinis. Our waitress was very slow so we were able to talk more.
Given our experience at the Tuscan Kitchen in NH we were both disappointed. Our wait staff was slow and inattentive. My filet was a poor cut of beef - it was difficult to chew - definitely not “filet.” They forgot one of our sides. The caprese was flavorless and rubbery. I had to ask for silverware. Basically the experience was poor from start to almost finish. It was my birthday and they did surprise with an espresso chocolate cake that truly was amazing. (And I had to ask for silverware again lol). Sigh.
Food was great - service was great
Very noisy - not the spot for a quiet dinner, but good food and service for the right occasion.
Celebrated an anniversary here and the service was beyond amazing! Defiantly recommend for a romantic night.
Amazing experience here for our date night. We loved the top quality food, the ambience and the background music. Everyone seemed hard at work without being stressed . Hostess was super friendly. Appreciated that the manager came by to check on us and say hello. Highly recommend the ravioli formaggio with oils and the flounder. The zeppole with cream sauce was to die for. Our waitress seemed rushed but professional and pleasant. Would definitely return again and again and take more family and friends.
Street parking here is difficult to find. Parking under the shopping center is available.
Just bland, the most flavorless Italian food I have ever had
very good food, friendly service. Overall an excellent experience.
Lovely space. Nice service. Very good dinner! We thoroughly enjoyed Tuscan Kitchen.
Our experience yesterday was absolutely SPECTACULAR.
The dining rooms are gorgeous. The floor to ceiling windows are stunning. The seating is comfortable. The ambience is fun and energetic. The staff is impeccable; super attentive, yet not hovering or intrusive. And the food....! Every morsel from bread to dessert was eye rolling, mouth watering, lean back in your seat scrumptious! Tuscan Kitchen is perfect for any occasion! We cannot wait to return :)
Thank you, thank you, thank you for an unforgettable Graduation dinner for my daughter; so very special :)
Our dinner and the service were outstanding! It made for a very special birthday dinner!
Visited from out of town. Beautiful restaurant. The food was just okay.
Long wait to be seated and served. Staff seemed overwhelmed. Service by wait staff was truly lacking & had to help ourselves get table setting, water, wine list. Food was undercooked & had to send back twice. Time spent trying to get seated, a servers attention & food, drink ordered took away from what was to be a nice evening.
The service was timely and attentive, the food was sublime
Birthday date … Absolutely by far one of the best dining experiences we have had since the travel restrictions and Covid rules. Our waiter and beverage manager was top notch. The food from bread, apps charcuterie to primi and secondi options that we chose were phenomenal and matched the service we received. Thank you very much and we will be back very soon
I had the Veal Cannelloni. It was tiny for $42. It needs more side food next to the cannelloni. It's basically a Canolli 1.5 in x 5 in
I didn't think the entrees were worth the moeny. The ambiance is nice and the live music was very nice.
I ordered a glass of wine for $14 and it was old, not good. My martini was all crushed ice. My Caesar salad was soaked in dressing. Truffle fries were soggy. Steaks were good though.
