Tuscan Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
I was at the restaurant with 3 other people. They all liked the dishes they ordered. I had the eggplant lasagna. It was frankly horrible. Dry and tasteless. Very disappointing.
Please consider more menu variety for the pasta dishes. All seem to be stuffed and mostly meat.
I have been to Tuscan Kitchen three times, and while the food has been average to great, I have had awful service every single time. Their wait staff is terrible. This past week, my wife and I were ignored by our waiter the entire meal, while he served and revisited every table around us. No requests for drinks, and didn't even bother to refill water. My wife needed up walking over to the wait staff and getting a refill.
Very unhappy with this restaurant. Will not revisit.
We like Tuscan Kitchen a lot, but caution dining on a Saturday night. Even with reservations, there was a lengthy wait. The real issue was that our (expensive) entrees arrived lukewarm. Also, the cod dish arrived without the complete salad described on the menu. The wait staff corrected the salad issue, but we settled for the lukewarm entrees. Tuscan Kitchen has a great menu, uses quality ingredients, has a good wine and drinks list, and the wait staff is well-trained, but not all cylinders were clicking on a busy Saturday night. We'll return, but will likely skip the weekend.
The food, although good has dipped in quality. I've been there for dinners and even a wedding and on all other occasions the food has been great. This last trip had a couple of minor detractors. The ravioli seemed mass produced, thick dough and the tortelloni was kinda gummy, not al dente but undercooked gummy...also the octopus app is great, but this time around it was a lot drier than before...sauce-wise. Still a good place for a nice dinner, but corners seemed to be cut possibly due to their expansion efforts as of late.
All was good other than the greeting and the goodbye, I felt I was looked down at when arriving by the hostess, like I didn't belong in the establishment. Very uncomfortable since I chose to try your restaurant vs. Go the the Hanoverstreet chophouse.
Then leaving there was no thank you or acknowledgment at all.
As the 3 people at the front desk were to busy looking up stuff online. Disrespectful as I just gave your establishment 400.00
The most important part of s business is where they epically failed!!!!
Was present for a Sunday lunch and had the bolonese with veal and other meats. Piping hot as it came with rigatoni pasta and delicious cheese
My partner had a large pizza that was big enough for 2 people. Overall big sizes since it was dinner all day for Sunday
Cost was about average, being dinner sized. Server was very attentive during the meal. I would / return
Really? This is considered finer dining? It’s very evident the lack of interest by the ownership of this establishment. Trust me, I know the restaurant industry and this is a perfect example of how to offer the lowest level of quality and still have the consumer pay the highest price. Save your money and spend it at some place that offers quality and a true dining experience.
This is a restaurant I have frequented on a number of occasions, and always enjoyed the food and the service. Not the case on Thanksgiving. I should have known better. I know that holidays are not the best time to judge even fine restaurants. My friend order the turkey dinner which was not very good, and I ordered a very expensive steak: medium rare. It was well done. Of course they took it back and I nibbled on potatoes and rabe while waiting for my beef. This one was medium rare, but so fatty and flavorless, that I barely ate it. Not at all what I'm use to at Tuscan. When the bill came, I was charged for two steaks. Again, an error that was rectified. If it had been my first experience at Tuscan, it would have been my last. Considering the many good meals and fine waiters I've had at this restaurant, I'll only stay away on Thanksgiving.
Took my wife for Thanksgiving Dinner - was seated at a 2-top next to a cozy fireplace, very comfortable. My wife started with a hand-crafted cocktail and I had a draft Italian beer. While we were waiting for our appetizer, the chef presented an Amuse-Bouche of delicately spiced carrot puree with pine nut served on a crunchy bruschetta. We started with the scallops which were seared perfectly and practically melted in your mouth. For our mains we had the Tagliata and the Signature Tuscan Steak alla Fiorentina - both presented at the perfect Medium Rare and seasoned perfectly. For dessert, the Torta Calda Al Cioccolato was outstanding and the Tiramisu as well. Service from the hostess to our server Michelle was outstanding. My wife has said this will be our new Thanksgiving tradition and I couldn't agree more.
Had reservations but still had to wait-then sent up to the bar area to sit. I did not appreciate sitting up in the bar area for my anniversary. We spent over $200.00 for a dinner for 2 but the ambience was not there! I did not appreciate the shoddy furniture and super small table!
Expect more for a dinner that costly-only had 2 glasses of wine
It took nearly 90 minutes to be served our dinner. I got the eggplant lasagna. The eggplant wasn’t edible. Undercooked. Chewy. Couldn’t cut it. My friend got the pork saltimboca and it was very dry. This was very disappointing. Our meals were comped because of the delay. It’s going to be a while before I go back and maybe not on a Saturday.
The waitress was weird and not even sure what she was doing. I️ got a whole order of the butternut squash ravioli for $24. It was 7 raviolis so I️ assume the $12 half order is 2 or 3 raviolis for $13. I️ was so hungry still after dinner I️ got chicken nuggets in the way home. Food was good but the portions are a joke and the price is insane for the amount you receive.
Sat upstairs too bright not a cozy atmosphere. Food quality not as good as the last time and came cold. When I ask for butter instead of oil they gave me a slab that looked like it came from the chefs kitchen. Not in a hurry to go back especially since I drove from Manchester.
Normally this restaurant has been good however the food this time was not that good. Calamari was over cooked and the pollpetoni sauce was cold almost refrigerator temperature. The entrees were fine. We gave feedback about the sauce but I do not think they took serious.
I accidentally made my reservation for the Salem location, but intended for Burlington and that is where I showed up. the host was very gracious, even when he couldn't find my reservation (I found on my phone that i booked the wrong location), and said it wouldn't be a problem. Our waiter was great - very knowledgeable about the menu and making recommendations. Service was great and atmosphere was pleasant and enjoyable.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner, celebrating my daughter's new job. The Sangria was incredible, and would be a reason to return, along with the delicious food. For dessert we loved the Salted Caramel Creme Brûlée. I loved the eggplant lasagna I had for dinner, but the $24 price tag was a bit much given the portion size; I wouldn't want more because it was filling, but I think for a vegetarian plate it should be under $20.
My daughter ordered a salad and wanted to add shrimp, which was not available at dinner any longer. That was disappointing as she does not eat meat and wanted some protein in her meal (she is allergic to salmon, the other seafood option). She loved the salad, but the lack of protein options could keep her from returning.
The ambiance is amazing! Yes the food is good (just good) but a bit too pricey. I don't mind spending money on good food and have dined at many fine restaurants, but the portions are very small for the price and the food is good but for that price it should be amazing! We had a GC for 75. Our bill was $159 for 2 people. We had an app, shared a salad, my meal was raviolis, my hubby had beef stroganoff and we got dessert. I had 2 drinks my hubby a coffee. The price wouldn't bother me so much even for raviolis, but it was good not amazing.
The food was great, drinks were. Ok, however they put us at a table that was so small , I was disappointed . When your bill goes over 100 dollars you hope your dining experience is at least comfortable. It was a table for two ? Really we couldn’t even put the large menus on the table we had to hold them. Get those tables out of there! We are small people and had no room. ☹️
