Tuscan Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
We had another great dinner at Tuscan Kitchen. We've been to both restaurants Tuscan Market & Tuscan Kitchen and it's consistently good. Tasty plates and well presented. Good service by our main waitress but the other employee did not seem to care and made mistakes.
We had an excellent experience, except for the cold reception by both of the women at the front desk, who made no eye contact with me or my husband. The wait staff were very professional and extremely friendly, and our waitress even allowed me to practice my Italian with her. The food is the best in the whole area.
We went to the Tuscan Kitchen on New Year's Eve. Although I had made reservations at least a week in advance, we were seated at a very small, uneven and wobbly table for two. It looked as though our table was squeezed in to accommodate an overlooked reservation. My boyfriend added sausage to his entrée and it had so much gristle in it, it was inedible. The manager was dismissive and told us that was the beauty of Tuscan Market, that it's sausage was homemade. His pasta was also undercooked. My gnocchi was good, but not worth what I paid for it. Our server was pleasant, but it was difficult to communicate with her because it was so loud. We will not be returning due to the over-priced, mediocre food and rudeness of the manager.
Third time we visited here. The server wasn’t that friendly, didn’t tell us the specials or offer any grated cheese or coffee at the end. I don’t know if she was cut for the night and then got sat or wasn’t in a good mood. But either way, that’s not my problem. Other servers around us were much more accommodating to their tables. I was a sever for years, so I can be very understanding, to a point. This restaurant has my favorite meatballs, this time they were pretty burnt. I really don’t like making a big deal, but this place is pricey. First time we came with friends decent service & good food. The second time with my mother in law terrible service and good food. This time with my parents food definitely wasn’t as good and service again was off. The restaurant is beautiful. But after this last visit, I think we’re all set for quite awhile. When I go out to eat, I expect a pleasant experience with good food and good service. Not feeling like we’re a nuisance.
Usually reliable and excellent but not this time. Made reservations for Christmas Eve dinner with wife, special evening at a good spot. However, very poor selection on this night. Table for two was located all alone in the middle of the floor in dining room, surrounded by large groups and right next to kitchen entrance. Ordered the veal saltimbocca and it arrived terribly over cooked, really dry and very late. Had to send it back, wife had lobster ravioli which was excellent. The server saved the evening with great personality and attentiveness. Overall a very disappointing experience at a restaurant that is typically much better than this.
My daughter and I had lunch with my friend who was turning 60. It was also a combination Christmas/birthday celebration as we do not all get together very often. The meal was great- the service was great and I had asked in advance for a nut free dessert which was presented beautifully. We also requested festive alcoholic drinks as we did not see what we wanted on the menu, and the bartender obliged with beautifully presented peppermint martini's for the season!!! All in all- every aspect was great from reservations, to service, to food and presentation!
Great meal, atmosphere, and drinks. One criticism would be that our server said our meal would be out shortly, only to return 10 minutes later to say that the food for a large party would be served first. So we waited about 30 to 45 minutes longer before our entrees were served. Luckily we were not in a hurry and the meal was amazing.
Very poor service, waited 15 minutes just to get butter for our table. Waiter replaced our chosen
moderate priced wine with a much more expensive bottle without alerting us of price difference.
Took 1 hour to get our dinner from time we were seated. Only large groups get proper service.
Took my fiancé out for his 40th, made reservations well in advance . Seated at a table that was clearly added last minute to accommodate guests. Terrible seating location and table was lopsided which the server never properly fixed or offered to move us from so we kept tipping our silverware and drinks throughout the meal . Server was friendly but brought wrong soda did not bring more bread when we asked and barely checked on us. The food was ridiculously overpriced , portions small and quality was awful. Hands down the worst Italian food in New England. My fiancée is Italian and we have several local places we enjoy but Tuscan Kitchen is NOT one of them. Lots of hype and huge disappointment. Don’t waste your time or money.
I was at the restaurant with 3 other people. They all liked the dishes they ordered. I had the eggplant lasagna. It was frankly horrible. Dry and tasteless. Very disappointing.
Please consider more menu variety for the pasta dishes. All seem to be stuffed and mostly meat.
I have been to Tuscan Kitchen three times, and while the food has been average to great, I have had awful service every single time. Their wait staff is terrible. This past week, my wife and I were ignored by our waiter the entire meal, while he served and revisited every table around us. No requests for drinks, and didn't even bother to refill water. My wife needed up walking over to the wait staff and getting a refill.
Very unhappy with this restaurant. Will not revisit.
We like Tuscan Kitchen a lot, but caution dining on a Saturday night. Even with reservations, there was a lengthy wait. The real issue was that our (expensive) entrees arrived lukewarm. Also, the cod dish arrived without the complete salad described on the menu. The wait staff corrected the salad issue, but we settled for the lukewarm entrees. Tuscan Kitchen has a great menu, uses quality ingredients, has a good wine and drinks list, and the wait staff is well-trained, but not all cylinders were clicking on a busy Saturday night. We'll return, but will likely skip the weekend.
The food, although good has dipped in quality. I've been there for dinners and even a wedding and on all other occasions the food has been great. This last trip had a couple of minor detractors. The ravioli seemed mass produced, thick dough and the tortelloni was kinda gummy, not al dente but undercooked gummy...also the octopus app is great, but this time around it was a lot drier than before...sauce-wise. Still a good place for a nice dinner, but corners seemed to be cut possibly due to their expansion efforts as of late.
All was good other than the greeting and the goodbye, I felt I was looked down at when arriving by the hostess, like I didn't belong in the establishment. Very uncomfortable since I chose to try your restaurant vs. Go the the Hanoverstreet chophouse.
Then leaving there was no thank you or acknowledgment at all.
As the 3 people at the front desk were to busy looking up stuff online. Disrespectful as I just gave your establishment 400.00
The most important part of s business is where they epically failed!!!!
