LITERALLY SO BAD WORST FOOD WORST SERVICE WONT COME BACK
Got right in for our table which was perfect! Waitress was a little overbearing (kept grabbing our daughters crayons) and time between app and dinner was a little longer than usual- Given the circumstances of staffing everywhere we weren’t
upset but just mindful if you have a little one, bring snacks! We enjoy dining here so will be back.
Always a great dinner. Could have more pasta options.
My husband and I came here for our Anniversary dinner. It was a magical experience! Our waiter was beyond helpful and attentive. The food was divine and the atmosphere was perfect!
Limited Menu. Look at what is available before reserving. Nice atmosphere. Somewhat smaller inside than we thought. Men’s and Ladies rooms are in basement. Need to take stairs or elevator to access. A significant journey to them. For nice dining OK.
Great food!!! Good portions! Excellent service!!!
I really love this place (actually got married there) but they took some amazing dishes off of the menu.
If you're a frequent flyer to the restaurant, it would be nice to see a few more dishes added. The current menu has had the same items for what seems like years.
Food was great. Service was good prices seemed high
Certainly enjoyed our dinner
The atmosphere was nice a place I would feel comfortable dressed up as well as neat casual. The food was good, came out fast for fresh prepared food. It was hot and flavorful, with good portion size. I have had better in the North End so the value to quality I gave 4 stars. The waitress was spectacular and made the overall experience 5 stars.
Hubby and I had date night and everything was amazing. The food and drinks were delicious. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. I came early for my reservation and we were seated right away. Thank you for my our date night wonderful.
Caesar salads…excellent. Martinis…excellent. Pizza…excellent . Tagliatelle pasta…undercooked and clumpy. Meatball…served luke warm to cold. Service…excellent. Come on Joe Faro, when it comes to meatballs and pasta you can do better than this! Give me 10 minutes in the kitchen and I’ll show you how it’s done.
Baked haddock had lots of bones in it. I told the server, and they were properly mortified, but didn't take the plate away and tried to charge me for it. After I pointed it out after reviewing the bill, they removed the charge. Berry monitor was way, way too sweet. No premium rum. Overall, so-so.
Wild boar had barely any meat in it but was tasty. We’ve eaten boar in Italy & was big chunks of meat. Haddock yummy.
What an awful evening. I understand there are issues with staff etc, but that does not make up for the extremely poor quality of the food.
What was even more insulting, was, when the manager gave us the bill, and told us he had taken off the entrees , (we had one small appetiser, which was dreadful) even though we ‘had not asked’ him to do so - and it was said in a very arrogant and patronising manner.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We like the menu at the Tuscan Kitchen in Burlington, MA a LOT better.
I thought the food and service were very good but they seemed to out of a number of items on menu. The menu is much smaller than it use to be. But I think that is a sign of the times.
The salmon was so delicious. The donuts were a little overdone and desserts took a long time to get to us. But they gave a free cannoli with a candle for the birthday, which was sweet. Overall an excellent dinner!
Went for lunch, the restaurant is very tired and was empty upon our visit. We asked for our salad and pasta entries to be split between my husband and myself. The waiter returned and said that the chef could not do this ?? It made no sense as they brought us extra plates us to split ourselves. Drinks were very good and our waiter was very pleasant but service was slow - again there were only 2 occupied tables. I understand that Tuscan Salem will be relocated to the new racetrack area but in the meantime it seems like this restaurant is the older child that the parents have forgotten.
Cheryl was our server and she is amazing! She has a lot of knowledge about the wines and bar menu, does a great job timing food between courses, and makes you feel very comfortable. Ask for her when dining here!
I had the Pollo Arrosto and it was overcooked and did not have much flavor. When the waiter came over and asked how everything was my friends told him my meal was not very good. He apologized but did not offer anything else nor did he take it off our bill which was $241.00. I have been to the Tuscan Kitchen several time before and was very satisfied.
While our food was good and service was outstanding, Tuscan Kitchen in Salem is in need of a update.
I hope that this original location is not going to be overlooked with all the new locations and projects that have opened.
53rd Anniversary...everything was really wonderful!
Delicious bit wait time was a bit long for drinks and food.
We have dined at this location countless times dating back to its opening. Recently we have found the quality is slipping and this isn’t just one time observation. Over our last 4-5 visits something just seems off. Service is not the issue but the quality of the food is slipping and the overall attention to detail is lacking. There was a time we would leave talking about how fantastic our meal was , now we are discussing if should we try another location or a different restaurant.
This might have been the last trip to this location
We had a gift certificate so we gave it a shot. The staff was very courteous which is a rarity these days. The drinks were great. But the food....omg the food! It was absolutely beyond delicious. Every single thing we tried was incredible. But that being said, the prices were hard to stomach. I understand that good food comes at a price but find a way to offer a variety so there isn't any wallet guilt associated with trying to order. The prices are uncomfortably high for the average person and it absolutely is the ONLY reason we won't return. Like I said, we had a gift certificate, so that helped with the prices but still on principal, its hard to justify $150 for lunch for two. (2 drinks, 1 app, 2 of the cheaper entrees available and the tip)
Ordered the Bone-In Ribeye medium rare. Not even close. Was well done. For $58 they can keep the steak.
The patio was a delightful way to enjoy Tuscan Kitchen’s delicious food
Beware that the music can be loud at times.
Great food and service. Staff was able to get us inside on a very hot night and we had a great meal with good friends. Thank you!
Amazing all across the board!! Service was outstanding!! Food was even better!! 11/10 recommend.
We had a great experience last night. We absolutely loved our waiter!
Our server was very good. The food was very good, but our table was very small and in a corner. It was our anniversary and it was not very special of a table. My chair had a split in the cushion, let me a little displeased.
Amazing as usual ! Open air seating with live music made it even more special...highly recommended.
Food was cold, waiter was not personable. Definitely not worth the price
Excellent and attentive service with great food. The food overall was really very good and flavorful. The only issues were that my Caesar salad came undressed and the cappuccinos were lukewarm.
Food was cold. Sausage was precooked and you can tell was sitting out before served, dry and cold. Crab cake was burned and no flavor. This restaurant is not what it used to be. Food was horrible.
Heather was a phenomenal server! The food was fantastic and loved the vibes for fancy dinner date
We had an 8:00 reservation. At 9:30, we still hadn’t gotten our main meal and asked to have them to go.
The entire staff gets a five star for their hard work trying and impossible task to deliver warm food in an outdoor setting.
I love the young entertainer and would definitely come back for drinks and appetizers but not for dinner!
We had the best server. She was very attentive but not to the point of harassing. The food was great. They sat us right at our reservation time. Drinks were wonderful! This was our first visit and we enjoyed it all
Great food, terrific server. We always enjoy our meals here and we especially love the big patio.
