Terrible food all three meals sent back taken off the check. Under cooked pasta had to chew it a long time to digest it dry sauce absolutely No wet sauce horrible calamari over cooked looked like potato chips tasted worse.
Moderately priced, large seating capacity, nice decor, ambient lighting, and comfortable. We enjoyed the open kitchen concept. Enticing food menu and a large wine selection. Very much enjoyed our food - for appetizer, we had Wood Roasted Scallops with House Smoked Pancetta, and Truffle Honey. For entrees we had the Veal Scallopini and Wood Grilled North Atlantic Salmon. Very attentive service; not a long wait. We're looking forward to our next visit!
What a great place! The food was excellent, the portions were generous and the service was impeccable. I would recommend this place for a casual dinner, a special occasion or anything in between.
Pumpkin martini came out with ciane pepper rim... shrimp scampi was very fishy and mushy
This was our 4th time at the Portsmouth location. We have been for a corporate holiday party, anniversary dinner and family dinners. Tuscan Kitchen suits them all. The food is excellent and consistent. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere is beautiful. The market is a bonus too!
Great food; good service. We had several different types of pasta, chicken, and steak. All were great.
Tonight we decided to try Tuscan Kitchen on our weekly date night! We had an amazing server who smiled EVERY time she came to the table. Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing experience.
The food and wine were delicious and exceeded our expectations. The bread and pasta are made in house and are exquisite. The wait staff are attentive and professional. The experience overall is fantastic from the atmosphere to the smallest detail.
All employees are very friendly and helpful. Waitress explained menu and suggested entrées. Excellent food, wine selections, desserts.
Food was good but not great for the price and description of the fresh ingredients. I had chicken parmesan. Very little sauce came with the meal. Chicken was tasty but not a "wow" moment. My husband had the sausage, which is a signature for the restaurant. It was too smokey tasting, not Italian.
It was a party of 6 for a business lunch. Our server was very responsive and made great recommendations. Would love to go back again when I can try their wine!
Nice atmosphere, good food & the server was wonderful.
My husband's birthday they brought a cannoli and charged us.... he didnt get to choose his desert.
Reserved a table and we were seated in a very small booth next to door. Wasn't very impressed.
Again, outstanding, creative food, bread amazing, deserts amazing
The food could not make up its mind. There were too many flavors on my dish, I had the half chicken with summer squash and spinach underneath. Every squash tasted different. The chicken was cooked well. There were bits of the dish that worked, but overall there was no common theme with all the flavors. And overpriced for the product provided.
I was so excited after seeing all of the gluten free options online. The restaurant had a great atmosphere friendly hostesses then it went downhill. Cheese plate seemed like a safe choice but no bread or vegetable offerings to go along seemed lackluster. The main coarse of mushroom ravioli seemed like a treat. GF ravioli is not something I find out regularly. The price was steep but for the treat I was willing. Six ravioli on my large plate with absolutely nothing else was beyond disappointing. The server informed us that you get less GF ravioli at the same price because they are prepared in a different fashion. I am sorry but that information would have been best know upfront as my disappointment outweighed anything else. I get that there are customers who over exaggerate their allergy however those of us who do actually have the condition get excited at the opportunity for new choices and your establishments lack of information just disappointed me.
I have loved the Tuscan Kitchen. Been there about 4 times since opening This time the food was good but not great. Their pasta dishes seemed like the dough was a little heavy. Great waitress and service. Very clean and beautiful restaurant. Just up the food a little and you will shine.
Love the Portsmouth, NH location!
Portions and quality was good. The chicken parm was huge but chicken was a little too thick and therefore tough. The sauce wasnt as saucy as it was the 1st time I ordered this dish
Overall the food was excellent, served to temperature with good flavor and textures. The calamari was among the best we have had even with the tomato and peppers cooked with the calamari. Liked the tomato but could have done without the hot peppers(Photo attached). The tonna was a chunk of tuna on a bed of quinoa and sweet shrimp. It was very nice, fragrant and tasty.
The one really sad part of dinner was dessert. We chose to have pistachio and double chocolate gelato(separate servings silly). The pistachio was overly sweet. The double chocolate was grainy and lacked the richness of a combined white and dark chocolate dessert.
The Market attached to the restaurant had a number of dessert options that might have been better. Perhaps another time.
Great ambiance. Would have liked the serving sizes to be a bit larger for the prices.
Great service. Our server was Erin who was engaging, excited informative.
We took two of our five kids to dinner to celebrate the final day of summer and Tuscan Kitchen did not disappoint. Staff was friendly and responsive and our waiter was excellent. We found all of our meals to be quite good with an extensive wine by the glass selection. We will return.
Our waitress Erin was fantastic! Friendly, attentive, and spot on with recommendations. Food wasn’t outstanding from appetizer to desert. Chicken parm was huge! I had the braised short rib ravioli...so delicious and unique. Italian donuts are so worth the indulgence! Great wine list as well. Ambiance is great for romance or casual.
Made reservations.. Hostess tried to sit us in the bar , we asked for something better and got a booth .. waiter was absolutely fabulous!! Food was delicious.,
Booths a little small. Meals were authentic. Server was very knowledgeable.
Catching up with friends on a Sunday night demands time, spacing of courses, and a patient and gracious waiter. We had a perfect meal and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience.
Service was outstanding. Everything else was downhill. Ambiance was so dark, like a jail cell. No tablecloths. We asked for additional napkins, and made our own. Oil spilled on table and migrated everywhere. My fuscile with tomato sauce was terrible. Waiter got me som meat sauce which helped, barely. Cocktails and wine by the glass, $12 each. Too expensive. Plus, wine was barely a average pour, and cocktail glass was the same. This was our first time and was a trial run in preparation for our inviting others. What do you think we should do?
So tasty! Great waiter! Awesome experience! We will definitely be back!
We had a lovely experience with a wonderful server - Michelle. She was knowledgeable and made great recommendations.
The food here is incredible. Their presentation and attention to detail paired with the incrediblely delicious food makes for a wonderful experience. Our server, Oz, was very knowledgeable and attentive. Overall great experience and we will be returning for sure.
Atmosphere was not very good, has a cafeteria feel so it lowered our expectations. But the meal was surprisingly good, wait staff was good, portion size was reasonable, great wine selection great. This is not high end dining, but good quality mid range experience
The restaurant is second to none for decor and authenticity. Being an Italian American growing up with great Italian food in my life, I truly appreciate this restaurant. It had a great selection of food, drinks and desserts. We had an amazing waitress as well. She helped us pick the best options for our taste.
Saturday night dinner on vacation. The food was excellent. Started with the ceasar salad which my husband and I shared. The dressing was light and not overpowering. I had the lobster ravioli, which was delicious. My husband had the veal which he enjoyed. We also shared the garlic spinach side dish which had just the right amount of garlic.
We were a party of 4 and everyone was pleased with the service and food. My only complaint is that one of the meals we were served was not what was ordered. It was replaced promptly and was delicious.
Absolutely loved my evening. Came in with my family for dinner and was not disappointed. The service by Osman was amazing! Very polite and informative yet extremely friendly. And what can I say about the food.... I have absolutely no complaints. Service was quick and soooooo delicious !! I would recommended to anyone staying in the area ! We will be back
Food was fabulous, service spot on, John, and atmosphere delightful. A great market attached to bring home dessert, or any Italian delight from sauce to pasta, to dessert, and fresh meats and cheeses. They have wonderful round booths making for great conversations. We went midweek and it was busy but a seat was attainable. I absolutely recommend reservations.
Waitress Erin was fantastic. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Food was great and the atmosphere was perfect.
Great place to celebrate a special date or enjoy a weeknight dinner. Delicious food, great atmosphere.
I can appreciate fine dining but their attempt at fine dining was disappointing to say the least. Food has incredible descriptions for nothing special....
