Excellent food great location highly recommend it.
Awesome food, caring and friendly owner, good service, one of my favorite restaurants.
My wife and I love coming here and sitting on the patio with our dog. A bottle of wine, amazing food, and awesome service is what we always get. We always leave happy and looking forward to returning.
Both the food and service were outstanding. We had Lentil Soup for a starter and the Koubideh Kabobs as the entré. Both were excellent. Dita, the Hostess, was lovely, and the waitstaff attended to everything perfectly. the atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming.
Great ambiance, delicious fresh food, wonderful management, great local place
Food and service was excellent. Owner came and greeted us. The shish kabob was the best I ever had.
We love going here. The owner is incredibly hospitable and sincere. We love the food, it’s consistently awesome and I never regret going there thinking, oh man I should have just cooked and eaten at home. They are cool with us bringing in our little baby and/ our big kids and are great hosts. Definitely, one of regular spots.
The food is always great!
You can tell the owner/chef cares about your experience because he visited every table to make sure diners were enjoying their food. He also told us about the different spices he used to marinate our various meat selections. Everything gets saffron, which makes it all taste soooo good. My chicken was tender and delicious. My husband's lamb was perfectly cooked. Even the rice is delicious! This place is in the cute part of Redondo, away from the pier. Quiet neighborhood, quiet restaurant. Pretty small and casual, but definitely a great spot!
Turquoise is our new favorite restaurant in Riviera Village. My wife, daughter, and I met a friend there for a pre-Christmas get together. Our friend is vegan, so we had an order of baba ganoush and an order of hummus along with a veggie platter and bread basket to share before our entrees. Both the baba ganoush and hummus are made fresh in house. A tall gentleman, I assume the owner, approached our table to explain how the hummus was unique to Turquoise because they blend in walnuts to the chic peas they prepare from scratch. I found it to be a well balanced surprise because I do not care much for walnuts, but did not notice their presence before or after he shared the "secret" ingredient. He also brought out some fresh blended chili sauce and Turkish sumac. He showed great pride and joy in sharing these special items, which really heightened our dining experience.
Turquoise serves beer and wine only. The wine list is fairly decent. We went with a fairly standard Michael David "petite petit" which was pretty perfect with the food. The service was excellent, as multiple servers came by to check on us and keep our water glasses filled. Our daughter is a bit picky and didn't want all the rice and veggies that came with her chicken kabob, so the kitchen made a special order with sliced cucumbers on the side instead. Wifey and our vegan friend had some nice looking salads and I had the grass fed lamb kabob, with the roasted veggies, the rice, the chili sauce, and the sumac and it was awesome!
Desserts here are killer too. Turquoise offers a vegan ice cream made from soy milk, rose water and pistachios. It was pretty delicious. We also enjoyed a creme brûlée and super-rich chocolate ganache cake with vanilla ice cream.
This meal happened on a Friday night and I had made a reservation for 7:00. When we walked in it was not overly busy, but by 7:30 or so, the dining room and sidewalk tables were full. I highly recommend a reservation for prime time.
Food was excellent.
Their food is amazing!
Love all the vegetables and the lamb was so tender and flavorful!
Food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. We sat outside and had the use of the heater so it was quite comfortable. We don't go to Redondo Beach very often and were very happy with our restaurant selection!
The owner adds a personal touch by chatting with all customers. He was genuinely interested in how we were enjoying our meal and he explained how some of the dishes were prepared. We even got a detailed lesson on Saffron! The food & wine were excellent.
Favorite restaurant in the South Bay. Freshest, highest quality ingredients and so much pride goes into the food.
I've had lunch at Turquoise a number of times, and my friend and I decided to try it for dinner. The food is always very high quality. However, I think the atmosphere is more appropriate for lunch than for dinner. I would recommend it accordingly.
one of our favorite restaurants
excellent quality food and ambiance.
service with a smile was excellent
The food the service and the ambiance impeccable! Can’t wait to go back.
Lots of Vegan and Gluten Free options!!! Very accommodating to our dietary needs. Finding a Brunch spot to eat is always a challenge for us but we will definitely be back!
Prices too high for basic presentation. Chicken MAISON is better for half the price. Nothing interesting on the plate.
Great fresh food. The owner is wonderful and he makes sure the food is of the highest quality. A perfect meal, I had the lamb kabob and it melted in my mouth.
Perfect place to meet our friends. Outside table was quiet and pleasant. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. We will definitely go there again.
This is truly a neighborhood gem. My wife and I coming here often. If you Like organic fresh local ingredients this is the place. Zamir (the owner ) is always on top of every detail and always attentive and informative. Some of the dishes we've had in the pass are... Sea bass, Lamb Kabob, chicken Kabob, the humus and salads are all fresh and amazing. Please come with plenty of time. The kitchen is small and everything is made to order. You wont regret the wait
Owner and Exec. Chef Hammid is a wonderful host. His menu is outstanding, but the service is over the top with his special attention.
Good food, good service and caring and kind owner.
We ordered appetizers and main meals and all were delicious.
One of my favorite restaurants in the South Bay!
Just great every time!!!
Outstanding food - wine a bit expensive, but overall an excellent dinner.
We have been here a number of times and out "go to" for dinner.
My name was not on their list when we arrived, but luckily it was early, before the crowd, so we were able to be seated.
Food was delicious, as reviewed in Check Please! The complimentary bread and spread were delightful. The grilled calamari appetizer and mixed grill entree were flavorful. The salt-crusted fish was fresh and tasty. We also love the flan with the complimentary Turkish tea. Price is reasonable and it’s an excellent restaurant worth repeating. The only negative was the long waits for the server. She was servicing too many tables and she was also mixing the cocktails. I think they are severely short-staffed.
The food and service is always good. The owner is always there (at least every time I have) and makes a point of going to each table and greeting the customer. It’s easy to “clean your plate” but I always feel satisfied and not too full because the food is so fresh and healthy!
friendly staff but the food is not always well prepared. The owner tried to make our food right.
The offered to make a birthday surprise but it was poorly timed and we didn't want to wait any longer.
The food at Turquoise was very good, I had the Baba Ganoush as an appetizer and it was a real treat. All of the food was nicely presented. I'll definitely go back again
Outstanding! Turquoise never disappoints. The fish is always divine as it was tonight, and the service is superb. Hamid is the consummate host and his staff are very attentive without being intrusive.
Nice decor, friendly staff and delicious food.
I had the chicken kabob. The chicken was cooked perfectly and it came with rice pilaf, fresh salad and veggies.
We went for Easter Dinner. We had a wonderful dinner. Service was very attentive, I noticed some reviews commented that it was slow, but we didn't experience that. I had the lamb kabobs and they were tender and delish. My husband had the halibut which was also very good.
The menu was surprisingly diverse for a small restaurant. Our choice was to share both a Mediterranean appetizer (they are all good here) and a salmon entree that was beyond delicious and perfectly portioned to share. The wine choices were good as well. Service was attentive at times but a bit slow at others. Just when we thought we had been forgotten, the server showed up ready to give us undivided attention. Overall, this is a lovely place I will visit again, just not in a hurry.
A nice restaurant with very good food. The service is a little amateurish -- my date was offered the dessert menu while I was still eating my dinner -- but I would rather see more of my waiter than less.
I had the chicken kabob that was well seasoned and nicely cooked. My date, a vegetarian, had a couple of choices. She chose the tofu kabob that came with a delicious pomegranate sauce. We shared the arugula salad and both enjoyed it.
If you like corporate restaurants, this isn't your place. If you like good food, eat here.
Wonderfully fresh and delicious food. Very good and friendly service in a comfortably small intimate setting.
