Turmeric Flavors of India - Downtown Las Vegas
Food was great. Good portion size and just the right spice level.
Having come from a city that has a lot more choices of Indian restaurants, I must say this food was average tasting to me. The ambiance and service were good.
Came in for a late lunch. Place was empty, but the food was wonderful. Ordered a masala dosa, saag paneer, and paneer tikka masala. Flavors were perfect all through the meal. Staff was friendly. Will definitely visit again next time in Las Vegas.
Great and friendly service, absolutely delicious food, lots of veggie and vegan options, yummy cocktails. A gem of a place!
Food and restaurant are 5* for sure.
There is an obnoxious praying mantis across the street that is loud and horrible that diminishes this perfect restaurant’s ambience.
We split the savory naan and the vindaloo. Plenty for 2 people. The bar wasn't in service that night so we just had water. Great place with good service.
Taste wasn't up to the par. Heard from my friend about this restaurant in old vegas. Went to give a try but was not expecting food without authentic taste.
Service was a little slow, they let you park next store at the motel which was great , food is outstanding.
The food was really good, the service not so much. It's almost directly opposite the praying mantis so rather noisy whenever that was performing.
I would say probably one of the best Indian restaurants I have eaten at in Vegas, the food was excellent. The flavor and spices used was amazing. Presentation was that of a 5 star restaurant and service was great.
Food was delicious, but waitstaff was very slow / forgetful. Forgot to tell us they didn’t have a few things we ordered... so we just waited and waited and then only got answer when we asked.
Fun place. Across from the fire breathing praying mantis at the container park. Good food and service. Will return
Good food! A little light on the chicken in the chicken tikka masala. Cousin said the lamb vindaloo was very good, and the garlic naan too. Restaurant is in a good location across from the Container Park. We will return.
The food was amazing and the service was prompt and friendly.
Went here two years ago, not that impressed. Came back and the food was amazing this time...kind of Indian fusion now. So good.
Really enjoyed the food. Excellent presentation of all dishes
Good food. Spicy. We would go again. Service was a bit slow. Otherwise we like it.
My wife and I were out to explore Freemont St and stumbled upon this gem.
Incredible Indian food with incredible service (Angela was pure gold).
We split the lentil appetizer, garlic naan and tikka platter. Pure gold. I’m trying to convince my wife to go back for lunch.
My work mate and I were in Las Vegas for work. Exhausted at days end. Turmeric was within walking distance of the Golden Nugget hotel. The fragrance of Indian spices was so welcoming on entering. We knew we were in for a treat. Our waiter was attentive and helped us select the perfect combination of dishes. We loved it so much that we went again the next night! Turmeric was a huge treat. We would highly recommend it.
I made a 6:30 reservation here long before our arrival, about 2 months in advance. I was really looking forward to eat here and was really craving Indian food. On our way to Turmeric I received a phone call that I needed to be there for 6:00 instead or they would need to cancel our reservation because they just had a larger group reserve most of the restaurant at 7:00 and I needed me to be gone by then. I thought that this was very odd and made me very rushed to be there by then but we made it close. However the disappointment was just starting then. Our service was very rushed and the food was obviously rushed because it was one of the worst quality Indian dishes that I have ever had. The rice was hard and just not very good. Another table beside us was also very upset that they didn't even receive the dishes that they ordered. They even tried to order another Naan bread and were told that nothing else was able to be made for them that night. So obviously I didn't even ask for more food or dessert!
I guess it was still Indian food but just not as good as expected.
This is my son’s favorite restaurant! He loves the Tikka Masala and I love the Samosas. We will be back often. It’s also a great location.
didn’t actually get to taste the food, i booked a reservation on open table, came down with a date to the restaurant and was told it was closed for a private event. I never got a phone call. Owner or manager offered free drinks or starters when we come back but that’s not the point, this crap does not meet the standard of other dining experiences in the new downtown scene or across Las Vegas in general. will not return.
Wow! Everything we had was crazy good. I’m almost nervous to try a different India restaurant because of how awesome the food was here!
Decent indian food and good options as well. Service was fast as well.
Great food, restaurant a little cold though. Well worth going.
I'm so glad I was invited to try this great lunch spot. I don't do spicy so I was able to ask for assistance and they were very nice and helped me with food choices. Wow, the flavors were amazing and I have decided to make this location my weekly lunch spot.
Good food, the the Indian identity of which was not certain. Yet, tastes were unique flavorful and with well prepared food.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, big portions enough for 2 people. Divine discovery. Will not fail to visit each trip.
Good service will get you every where with me. Mix that with great food and you have a success. That is what Turmeric has. We had the Butter Chicken and the Tikka Masa chicken. Both were very good. The waiter told us the have lunch specials with curry, veggies, and bread. We will be back to try that. Went here before a Smith center show and service was fast but did not feel rushed. We sat near the roll up windows and it was beautiful outside. They have an upstairs outside bar but that does not open until 6. Looked very nice.
We came to Vegas and wanted to find something different to burgers, fries etc etc and love Indian food. I found this restaurant online and there was not much to pick from in terms of Indian or different flavours near to the strip. The food was delicioud and staff really friendly. It’s not somewhere you would get really dressed up and go but if you’re looking for good food, cosy atmosphere and something different to the majority of the main strip, give it a try! We would definitley go back.
Very surprising, never had Indian food but this was very tasty and fresh. Reccomend this place to all. A must try if downtown.
Unfortunately we came and the restaurant was closed, i think you should check your restaurants before you let people to book them
Would have been nice to have told us you were closed. Taxi fare there and back for nothing. Won't be back
We LOVE THIS PLACE!! The food is so awesome I could eat there every night! The servers and people that work there are really really friendly Too!
The food was outstanding and our waiter was super friendly and knowledgable. The location is fun, next door to El Cortez downtown. Great little spot with a fun atmosphere, and the food - every appetizer, dish and cocktail we ordered was fantastic. I am definitely going to return on next trip to Las Vegas to try more of the menu. Excellent for vegetarians and vegans!
Turmeric’s food was outstanding . I loved the twist on traditional Indian food. Our only disappointments was one that they advertised patio seating and it was not available. The manager did call and inform us that this was not available prior to our reservation which was appreciated. The second disappointment was the service . We were seated immediately upon arrival and served water but then 25 minutes passed and no one even attempted to address us. I had to flag down a waitress to get our order taken and after she took our order I am not sure where she disappeared to but we did not see her the rest of the night. We also did not see her helping any other tables . Other servers brought us our food and refilled our water but our server was awful .
Great place we love the food. The service is great the food is made fresh and fast. They had one beer from India which could be a good thing or bad you decide.
The waiter just seemed like we were an afterthought. The food was delicious. Weird sounds coming from above
We got there at 4:30 PM Thursday and it was empty. The bar tender said that the place normally gets busy after dark. The service was great the food was fantastic great experience.
