Definitely worth repeating. Excellent service. Very clean. Place is well kept.
Very pretty space, lovely welcoming service, great food, great price, perfect for before theater matinee!
Friendly, helpful and attentive service. We had group of 7 and mainly ordered a lot of appetizers and shared everything. We loved everything we ordered: Dumplings, stuffed grape leaves, spinach filled "cigars", calves liver, etc.
We had a reservation for 12 people and were accommodated in a lovely private room downstairs. The food and service were excellent, and we were able to get to our evening show in plenty of time. Very highly recommended!
Excellent food. Attentive service though a little disorganized.
Small but attractive space
We shared appetizers and main courses. The food was creative and tasty. I especially enjoyed the lamb meatball entree.
LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! Make a reservation immediately.
The food was terrible. Not at all authentic, not the right spices, and very bland. The serving staff were very nice but for the price I paid, I would rather cook it myself.
Too bad the service was so lacking because this place has nice atmosphere and the food was very tasty and good with good prices (for midtown). We never had the same server twice. I asked someone for yogurt sauce when my dinner came … it never showed up. Every time we wanted something, we had to wave someone down. All the servers were pleasant, but it just seemed that there was a lack of basic restaurant management (lots of people running around for a place with not many tables) which is unfortunate because as I said, the food was actually quite tasty, with generous portions, served in a nice cozy place. Hope they get their service act together soon to increase the stars.
beautiful space, delicious food, unprofessional (but still polite) disorganized service.
Food was just perfect! We'll be back when in NY.
Date was OK.
Thought there should be more variety in the main dishes. There was basically only 2 main dishes, with side dishes and lots of cold salads. The food was excellent.
Beautiful restaurant. Food was good. Husband loved it. Service left something to be desired but not the worst I’ve had that’s for sure.
Love this place! I eat-in & order for delivery. Always great!
This restaurant used to be one of our favorites before visiting either Lincoln Center or Carnegie Hall. No longer. They have recently moved to this location and perhaps they left their chef behind. We had wine with four appetizers and all four were not very good. Note to restaurant, when seating customers near the front door, do not smoke outside and expect the smoke not to drift in during the summer months.
I LOVE this restaurant. The best Turkish food in NYC.
Food temperature could and should be worked on. Server and everyone was great!!!
Food was bland and overpriced. Try another Turkish restaurant. This one will not last.
We ate outside in the lovely garden. The food was fabulous the service was fantastic and we will definitely go back again.
Excellent food and service. The Turkish wine was a wonderful treat/surprise. We will return and recommend.
The food and service at Turkuaz is superb. I've been there several times and highly recommend it! The staff is friendly and welcoming, the food delicious and the value is great. Go! You will enjoy.
Food was OK, service nice, but rushed. server cleared plates while some guests were still eating. felt like being rushed.
Delicious food and attentive service.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining at Turkuaz. My chicken kabob was the most tender chicken I have ever eaten and the flavor was lovely. The recommended Turkish white wine was also a hit; light and fruity taste perfect for the hot humid weather. The decorations and ambience of the restaurant are lovely and inviting.
Food, Ambiance & Service was Amazing.. 🤤
Excellent service. Shepherd's salad, hummus and zucchini pancakes were delicious. Chicken Adana kebabs are a must try. Throughly enjoyed meal. Try the Turkish wine (Kayut) it was a pleasant surprise recommended by the waiter. Will go back.
A return visit to a good Turkish restaurant in a newish mid-town location. Good food, excellent service, pleasant atmosphere.I had the Lamb Sis, and my wife a vegetable casserole with lamb. Both quite good. We enjoyed a Turkish red wine that was full-bodied. (Cavalkidere (sp?))
A good spot to find before a Broadway curtain...
The service is extraordinary---knowledgeable and attentive.
We were there for a special occasion. Highly recommend.
Food and service were excellent. Highly recommend!
Excellent service and nice menu selections.
Run to this restaurant. Everything about it is incredible. Denise is the best!
Our latest favorite Turkish restaurant in NYC: great food, lovely owner, terrific value. Highly recommended.
I chose this restaurant because it was close to the theatre, hoping it would be okay. It was much more than okay — great service, terrific food, and a quiet serene atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Location worked well for us since we had a theater show nearby. Warm welcome, romantic lighting and decor was very inviting. They also have a small backyard where we sat. Good wine selection and decent prices. Salad and cold appetizers were fresh and delicious. Loved the stuffed grape leaves and eggplant salad. Menu is pretty big, we ordered chicken shish and shrimp casserole, both were perfectly cooked. Our server was very knowledgeable and he made sure that our food came right on time for us to catch our show. Great spot.
Wonderful evening! Gorgeous and delicious food and exceptional service.
We are long time customers from back when they were in the UWS. So happy to have found them back again. Their new location is very pretty. Has a backyard and private rooms. I still miss the old place because we lived right around the corner but will come here again. Especially when going to the LC.
My family and I arrived on time and were seated promptly. The restaurant was mostly empty, but you'd think it was packed with the way our server almost never checked on us. For drinks we ordered ice water and soda, but the water came without ice so we had to ask for it again. Then we had to ask again for sodas because those didn't arrive. Then our meals came out without the appetizers we ordered (we ate dry bread and poured some olive oil for ourselves because no one did it for us.) We were halfway done with our entrees before our server asked if we liked our food, so we asked him to cancel the apps because we were already full and there was no point. He apologized profusely and said we could have them on the house, but we declined. The manager came over and apologized and repeated the same thing, and they brought over the apps that we had declined. We asked for the check soon after. To be honest, considering the quality of our service and the subpar meal, we thought it was kind of pricey. We went to a different middle eastern restaurant the next day for dinner -- Ravagh -- and even though it cost more, we thought it was worth every penny. We don't mind paying for a nice dinner....we just expect the service, ambiance and food quality to match the price tag. With the plethora of mid-east food options in nyc, we won't be returning to Turkuaz in the future. We truly felt like our presence was a burden.
Excellent in every way. Outstanding!
We had an excellent experience dining here. I had never tried Turkish food before, so I was not totally sure what to expect. We got the cold appetizer platter which was absolutely amazing. I could have simply eaten the hummus and baba ganoush as my meal. The grilled chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned and the lamb with baby okra was incredible. For dessert, we ordered peach and chocolate icecream with Turkish coffee which was a great way to end the meal. The only thing I was not totally in love with was the Turkish dumpling dish, but even that was pretty good. The wait staff was knowledgable and friendly. We left a jacket behind and they were very helpful in returning it to us. After spending a week in NYC, this was the meal that stood out to me the most.
We ate pre theatre out on the delightful back patio. We were offered a tasting of Turkish wines to help us choose. Our food was delicious, deeply flavorful and perfectly cooked (chicken chops and salmon wrapped in vine leaves). The staff was attentive and helpful. In a city of endless dining choices, we’ll return to Turkuaz.
