Excellent food and great friendly service. Been going there for many years before the theatre. I recommend it highly.
Food was expensive for what they served. If you have plans for after dinner give yourself more time because service is slow.
Fantastic food ! Great menu and fabulous service. Cozy atmosphere and very authentic
I don't understand the great reviews this place gets. It was underwhelming to the extreme.
Service was slow and inattentive (had to wait about 15 minutes after we sat just for our table to be wiped down from the prior guests as an example)
The food was simply not good. I love Mediterranean food and have dined at some amazing places - this was not one of them. The hummus was underwhelming (as well as a paltry serving); the babaganoush was mediocre; and the falafel did not taste fresh.
But the worst were the lamb dishes. The pieces were small and way over cooked - and there wasn't many of them in either of our meals.
Will not be back
The restaurant is small but perfect! The best food I had while visiting New York. The staff was extremely friendly and answered any and all questions we had about Turkish cuisine
It was so wonderful to get back to one of my favorite theater area restaurants. The three of us were so happy with what we ordered. The service was superb. The turkish wine was excellent. It was altogether a fabulous experience. Try the spicy hummus! So tasty! I had one of their specialties...the eggplant dish,....so good!
Great food great service!
Our family of 4 ranging from 78-17 all enjoyed the food, the service, and the ambience. We look forward to our next chance to be there.
We loved the food, ambiance, and friendliness. We were discouraged that our salad arrive with the main dish (not before).
Our biggest surprise was the price of the pudding! $13.95 is way too much for a serving of pudding. Also, we ordered pistachio and got chocolate. Desserts should be listed on the menu, so that the price is known ahead.
Everything else is good value, but he pudding is way over-priced!
The food was good. We like having lunch here pre-theater.
Was really busy but they got us out in plenty of time for the show.
Very uncoordinated with reservation, had to fight for table that was held a week before on credit card. Kept pushing multiples of dishes on us. Meal took > 3 hours. Wasn’t in a rush but come on.
This was our fourth or fifth visit to Turkish Cuisine. We left feeling that the quality of the food was inferior to that of our earlier visits, the wine was of poor quality and overpriced. Two lamb chops were very good but the third was decidedly rare. Lamb in yogurt was dry, chewy and lacking taste.
Amazing service and food is fine. Lots of warmth in this place.
The food look is fresh and delicious… and service is very good. It’s great for ore-theatre.
Excellent, cozy spot. Great ambiance and decor, and awesome service. Will definitely be back!
Amazing food. I got the lamb chops and my wife ordered the chef special Manti. We also got spicy hummus and the cold mèze spinach. Everything was delicious. Also tried the house lemonade which was excellent and had a pistachio dessert. We were there for my wife’s birthday and it was a complete treat. Highly recommend!
Great find in the theatre district for fresh, good tasting food with outdoor seating.
Extremely welcoming, with absolutely fabulous food.
Such nice people but such poor food on the night I was here, I’m sorry to say! I’ve eaten a lot of Turkish food (in Turkey and locally). My dish was overcooked, tough, weirdly seasoned, and barely lukewarm. Decent service and a warm welcome disintegrated as more patrons arrived and server chaos resulted. Maybe just an off night, I hope? (I hate to write a poor review but felt the positive reviews here had led me astray so should be countered.)
I’ve been going to Turkish Cuisine for YEARS now and I have never been disappointed! The quality of the food is the best Turkish food I’ve ever had. It’s very flavorful and the ambiance has you feeling like you took a trip to Turkey!
Can I recommend the combo grill! You get a taste of all of their meats and they are all delish!
Everyone who works there always makes you feel at home. I believe you’ll love it!
It was an excellent evening!!!
My friend and I split a falafel appetizer. Then he ordered lamb chops (a special) and I got chicken shish kebab. Some of the items are a bit pricey, but the portions are generous, and everything was delicious. The waitress was very nice, and brought us little squares of Turkish Delight with our check.
We were going to a concert in the area for the first time in ages, and wanted something a bit special for dinner. Turkish Cuisine more than filled the bill...
Wonderful little oasis in NYC near theatre district! Would definitely go again. Food and drinks were delicious and beautifully presented. Five of us had a great time and were out in plenty of time for a play... so good to be back in NYC!
Great cuisine for family dining option with decent food choices and ambience. On our visit there was a group who became very loud and was very uncomfortable. I think if restaurant can enforce noise level policy that will make more pleasant environment.
Great food, great service, and overall great experience.
Some of the best food o have ever had, so yummy, such high quality, and the service was unbeatable
I bring friends here frequently. You won't be disappointed. Food and service are excellent.
Excellent food at an exceptional value for NYC. Cok hos!
Good food but prices are high and you will hear options for items not listed in menu which were very pricey. Portions aren’t big enough.
Appetizers came without any plates, asked for bread which came after we finished. Tip was added for party of five. Reserved table for outdoor through open table but they didn’t had table available so we sat inside.
Over food was delicious but there are other Mediterranean options around which will be good options for us next time.
Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. We had several items from the meze menu and shared them among us. I don't think you can go wrong, whatever you order.
The food and service here were amazing. Best Turkish food we’ve ever had!! Will definitely be back!!
We arrived right at opening. But we did t have to wait long for service or for food. The food was excellent. Service was great as well.
Wonderful as usual with generous servings, tasty foods, and friendly service. Love the Shrimp Shish Kebab!
Great resturant with an awesome outdoor patio located in the back. Quiet, relaxing, and romantic.
Good, not great. Food was fine. Atmosphere could use a little work. We were hearing only ourselves for a little while til others shuffled in.
Wonderful assortment of grilled specialties that come with salad, seasoned rice, vegetables. Each dish was enough for leftovers. We started with the combination platter of cold appetizers, and each of the eight selections was wonderful. The restaurant has so much character with all kinds of Turkish paraphernalia adorning the walls. The tables were well separated and there were free masks as well as large pumps of hand sanitizer at the entrance. The service was great. The server made us feel very special and was very knowledgeable about all of the dishes. We had a lovely time...
The Turkish style quesadilla special was delicious. It should be included in the regular menu.
