Tupelo Honey - Virginia Beach
Great service. Great drinks. Great food.
Our waitress was so attentive to our needs, the atmosphere was beautiful, the food was phenomenal and reasonably priced to be sourced locally. Will recommend to others and be back!
There were not many customers yet they were out of there special for the day a pork sandwich
Food was good, not great. Didn’t realize this is a chain. Service outstanding.
Good menu and comfortable restaurant
Awesome ambiance and great food. I only took off a few points because the servers did not give me or my date silverware. I had to ask. A few of them walked by several times without them noticing
We really enjoyed our experience! Our server was great, and he even had a trainee and he made sure to let his trainee do a lot and learn with him. The food was wonderful. I thought the Bloody Mary's were a little overpriced for the size of the glass, but it was a good Bloody Mary so I cant complain :)
Great Food. Loads of unusual mixes that come out great. Can't wait to go back.
We had a nice experience and enjoyed ourselves. The fried pickles were good. The outdoor patio was comfortable. Homemade biscuits and honey are amazing! Overall food was good.
Fun place for our group. The cocktails were delicious and the food was exactly what we were hoping for- a break from the seafood houses typically found around the beach area. Their fried pickles were especially notable.
Service was great... Not impressed with their sangria... I make better. The fried pickles were a pile of grease and the fried green tomatoes came out waaaaay too quickly to be made to order and for 10$, there wasn't even a full tomato on the plate. For the price of an entree, I would have expected a cloth napkin. My friend went the next day with her husband and they sat them under a leak from the ceiling.... She had drips on her plate... Tacky.
Loved the brunch menu and the drinks of course. Never disappointed in our food choices, everything was great.
We had the best experience and Kelly oue server was superb. Will definitely come back again!
Fantastic food! Loved the biscuits and jam! Authentic Southern cuisine in a pretty setting.
Stopped by for a cold drink and snack before visiting the Lego Americana Exhibits. Sat outside, and really enjoyed the ambiance even tho it's on the sidewalk and a busy street. It was late Sunday afternoon, apparently a pretty quiet time if you want to go then. Had a strawberry sangria made w Brandy.... different, creative. Also a cute little Mason jar of pimiento cheese with their potato chips that probably suffered from the humidity a bit. A little less than crisp and a little thick with air pockets between. Menu said tricolor carrots with it for dipping,, but it was one small white carrot cut in thirds lengthwise. Not much flavor. I think celery would compliment the pimiento better in taste and color. Really enjoyed the patio, terrific server, spent $16 and the server brought us 2 complimentary ginormous buttery biscuits. It's a fun place, clever menu, a little pricey with huge portions (share), easy parking on the street if you're lucky (only 2hours), and in the free garage by the restaurant, no time limit. Have to drive into it from the treet behind it the restaurant building, but then you walk out and the restaurant is right there. Nice in bad weather since you're not outdoors long. If you have the staff take photo, do it outdoors or near the waiting area upfront where it's brighter lighting. In front of the Tupelo sign indoors is too dark and shadowy. A photo up front turned out great.
Best fried chicken I’ve ever had, sorry dad, the gravy paired nicely. The side salad was meh, but the baked mac&cheese was wonderful, my wife’s mashed potatoes was tasty as well. Will be visiting again.
Very pleasant. Always enjoy Tupelo!
This was my third time eating at a Tupelo Honey. I love coming for brunch. The food was delicious. My only complaint was the wait time for our food. We waited about an hour to get it even though we were seated right away.
Our server, Brandon, was excellent. Very pleasant and helpful with suggestions.
Mixed greens salad was delicious. Strawberry mojito hit the spot. Outdoor covered seating made it all the better. Great place. Thanks.
This is a unique restaurant that serves comfort food with a tasty twist. I will definitely be back to sample more of the menu. Tupelo Honey is a nice addition to the VB downtown restaurant scene.
I was disappointed after having been to the original location in Asheville- the creole dip was WAY to spicy- bacon “jam” was WAY to spicy and the lavender martini was a little skimpy.
For $40 I expect a more substantial meal....especially when it only included a drink, appetizer (both on special) and a sandwich.
Excellent menu. Great, friendly service. Glad we found this place.
I hosted my bridesmaids proposal but I was upset I paid about $40 for my food and drink and I didn’t even eat my food because it wasn’t good . So I was hungry after my bridesmaid brunch and we still had other things to do that day
Food was excellent. Waiter could have been a little more attentive.
Isaiah was an awesome waiter. He was very attentive to our needs and very quick. The food was delicious and came it quick and got. I love this place and will continue us to come back!
Customer service is always top-notch!
Great food, service and the house beer was fantastic! highly recommend this place
Food wasn’t worth the price. It has a nice set up but the menu wasn’t great
Mediocre at best. Bland tasteless food Good service but won’t be back
Great food and atmosphere as always ! Our waitress, Mikalah, was very nice, had recommendations, and ensured the quality was of the highest standard.
The new happy hour is great! $2 Southern Tacos a must!
Food was delicious. BUT we had an 8pm reservation and by the end of our meal we felt like we were in the way of the staff trying to close the restaurant around us. It was kind of rude and we definitely felt rushed. That put a damper on an otherwise pleasant meal.
Love everything about this place.
There celebrating 2 co workers birthday’s. Food and service good. Would have been nice to have given the Birthday girls a dessert
The A/C was not working so it was extremely hot and our server was perspiring quite a bit. He was super friendly and walked us through the menu. I love their cocktail menu and all of the different options that have available. I had the avocado toast which was absolutely delicious. The fried okra was tasty but I’d try something different next time. The complimentary biscuits are must have. Whenever we come back to VA Beach we will be sure to visit
We enjoyed our brunch. The food was very good. The kids menu isn’t terrific, but we pieced together side options which worked fine. We will be back!
The macaroni and cheese was very good but the rest of the dinner was just fair. I would go elsewhere if you had a choice.
The food is exciting and delicious. The atmosphere is just what I wanted. The service was excellent. I cannot wait to go back. It was such an amazing mix of my roots in both TX and TN. It felt like a slice of home right in downtown VA Beach.
The highlight of our meal was eating on the patio- it was a great evening and a relaxed but "date-like" atmosphere. Our food was mostly solid, although the fried chicken arrived a tad burnt. We were also never offered any bread, which was a let down. We didn't know to ask for it until we saw another table receive it, and at that point we were eating dessert.
Our server was acceptable, but needs some training points. This is not a fast-casual restaurant, and for a $75 bill I would expect more professional service.
Biscuits to start are awesome, had to wait until my meal came to get them but they were still lovely. Brussels were too hard inside, just too big .. but normally they’re awesome also, just an off day. The tomatoes and burrata are to die for - highly recommend. The service was wonderful, I had Colton (hopefully I’m spelling it correctly), he was very kind and attentive but not overbearing.
Tupelo Honey is an eclectic, farm to table place with a laid back vibe. I highly recommend trying it. Sometimes the town center gets a bad rap with the restaurants but this place is very unique and worth the trip. Parking is crazy easy either across the street or in the garage just past the restaurant. I sat in the outdoor seating area and it was lovely.
The food was good, especially the lime drink. I had the pecan pie French toast, and my GAWD. anyway, I went on a Sunday morning, and the restaurant was clean, our waitress kind, and the environment very chill. Would go again.
