   The food took a long time to come out. Our server was kind but quite overwhelmed with the number of tables he had, and it wasn’t that busy. The biscuits, one of their most famous items, were dry , tiny, and not the quality they used to have. One positive, the Brussel Sprouts were delicious.

   Thoroughly enjoyed lunch with a girl friend who was experiencing the restaurant for the first time. This was my third time coming. Our waitress was an angel, she made great suggestions for the table. I had the Southern BLT grilled chicken sandwich with the Brussel sprouts, chef’s kiss, with a ‘not another espresso martini’, a delicious choice as well. We went slightly ahead of the lunch hour, by the time we got our food the lunch crowd came in which increased the noise level but no complaints. A nice experience for sure, highly recommend.

   I would like to describe my experience at this restaurant. Please note that this was my first time at this restaurant, and it was also Mother’s Day. We booked a reservation as well. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, which is about the only positive comment I have. There are areas of improvement. First, we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated and this was with a reservation. We noticed that once seated, there were multiple tables available where our group of 5 (4 adults and 1 child) could have been seated. We weren’t sure who our waiter was but once she came over after about 10 mins, it was clear that she wasn’t going to be attentive. She was more concerned with talking with other staff members than her tables. The other wait staff seem to be on their job and with happy customers. It took too long just to bring over our drinks and when she did one person was missing their drink. We had to run her down just to get that drink over to the table. Once the food came out, my daughter’s chicken tenders were way over cooked to the point that they were just too hard to eat. We asked for a re-order which came out much better. There were a couple of orders of chicken and waffles. The chicken had way to much pepper and the waffles were soft and didn’t seem fresh. We would have sent these back, however, it was way to long for our meals to come out of the kitchen in the first place. We were incorrectly charged as well which was corrected. There were more issues, but I don’t want to make this review to long. Sadly, I will not go back and will not recommend this place to anyone. I work uptown and there are many options that are better.

   We waited a long time to be noticed, the server apologized but every time we wanted something we had to look for her. She wasn’t very friendly. I would recommend training for the staff for a better experience, because the food was very good!

    Brought two friends to try Tupelo Honey and we left disappointed. The dining room was very bright but clean. I got the meatloaf and it was super dry and kind of flavorless and the sides were average. I feel like we just didn’t get them on a good night or the cooking was just off. With all the surrounding choices, probably won’t go back.
