Great dinning experience. Will definitely go again
We all enjoyed all the food we ordered! My husband and I ordered off the restaurant week menu and unfortunately they were sold out of 2 things we were hoping to try. That was a little bit of a bummer but again the food we did get was delicious!
Poor service and high cost drinks. We went to the Tupelo in Asheville and had a much better experience! I will not return to the one in Charlotte
The was not great, just ok I think we had a new waiter .( Luke )
Great place to eat and enjoy uptown. The food was better than expected. We had appetizer fried green tomatoes 5 star, Brussels sprouts 5 star, meal honey dust chick 5 star, sides mac and cheese 3.5 bread crumbs smh lol. Potato crackling 3.5 some was good some was just burned up. Plain mash potatoes would be better or potato au gratin. Dessert banana pudding 2.0 because is no banana in the pudding lol this was a great pudding no banana. Pecan pie 4.5 it came with whip cream and not ice cream. You cant serve pecan pie with out ice cream, i mean you can but u not going to get a 5. Drinks 5 star long island and bee knees. Parking 1.0 this is the only negative thing about this place. They don’t validate parking. Parking can cost you around 15.00 in the parking deck if you cant find meter parking. Overall still a good place to eat. I will return!
Just a lovely brunch for my girls
The fried chicken was very dry and overcooked. Very disappointed, as we have eaten at your restaurant in Asheville where the food was delicious. The sweet potatoes were Spicy ,l rather
than sweet and marshmallows on top burnt.
Not sure what the big deal is about this place, honestly it’s very basic.
Considering we ordered from the Queen's Feast prix fixe menu, and were then charged for an "appetizer" since our first choice of Fried Green Tomatoes were no longer available, a little disappointed in the overcharge...
An oversight on my part, though
We were disappointed in our evening at Tupelo Honey. We had a reservation for 8 pm, they bumped us up to 7 pm which we agreed to, but then they sat the 5 of us at a high top bar booth when I had requested standard seating. It made it very difficult to talk because we were all sitting in a line. I ordered from the restaurant week menu and they didn't bring my appetizer until after my entree. They also were out of biscuits which is what they are famous for. It was super bright in there and almost felt like a diner. Then at about 8:25, they turned the music off and turned the lights up even brighter - clearly trying to get us out. Definitely not worth it.
Food was ok but not great or very flavorful. Best part of the meal was the appetizer- Green Tomatoes. Family dinner and kids did not like chicken or mac & cheese. Mixed drinks were very small
We dined here after seeing a show at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. We were lucky enough to dine during Restaurant Week. As this was our first time here we ordered the three- course dinner. Thumbs up to the kitchen. Everything was delicious. We started with the spicy cauliflower bites and fried green tomatoes. They were delicious. The Shrimp and Grits did not disappoint. Leave room for dessert -- the banana pudding and pecan pie were outstanding. I highly recommend The Debutante cocktail. I plan to come back. Thumbs up.
Hadn’t been here since the restaurant was in Southend, it was definitely better this go around. We don’t go to uptown often so we are not familiar, we parked at the epic center and walked and it was extremely cold. Literally the only thing I would change about our experience.
Very good food, service, and atmosphere. I took my wife here for her birthday and she loved it.
Very great staff and food is always amazing for a great price
Everything was fine…not great. No CO2….so no soda or beer.
The food was outstanding. Shrimp and grits are wonderful. The collard greens and mac and cheese are sinfully delicious.
Thank you so much Pamela. I am so glad to hear about how much you enjoyed the food. We hope to see you back soon!
Food is always good and service was great!
Can't go wrong w chik & mac& chees Infused waffles. Fried green tomatoes a must.
Great Fried chicken. Showed up early so the restaurant was practically empty and quiet. Service was good.
Very good food. I had spicy fried chicken very good. Collard greens and meat loaf were excellent. Cat head biscuit s were the best I have ever had. Reasonable prices. No parking had to walk 5 blocks.
Thank you for your review. We hope to see you again soon!
Grate food, service. The music was very loud.
Thank you! We appreciate your feedback on the volume as well.
Nice restaurant to try. Food not as hot temperature wise) as I would have liked.
Thank you Kris. I will share the feedback about temperature with our kitchen team.
Wanted to share an excellent Southern meal experience with a friend from Chicago; tupelo Honey delivered in all expectations. Thank you!
Thank you Angie! I am so glad to hear that you and your friend had a wonderful time with us!
The only outstanding negative is how loud the place is. It is hard to have a conversation and difficult to hear the waitress.
Thank you. Your feedback is appreciated
Our server Ashley was amazing!! Super attentive.
Food was pretty good and not too pricey. I think they should have more selection of food.
Thank you Brittany.
Great spot to meet up with friends and catch up. Food and service are always great!
Thank you so much Felicia!
Love this place ♥️🥰 Great food, Great Mimosas. The bar tender Starr was great and very attentive ❤️
Thank you Shareka! Starr will be so happy for the shout out!
It was delicious and the service was exceptional!
Thank you! That is great to hear!
The chicken was warmish, the potatoes room temperature, and there were about 4 slices of cucumber that had been marinated in vinegar (think cukes &onions flavor). They were good but I didn’t want that flavor on my honey dusted chicken, plus the moisture made the otherwise crispy skin soggy. Not the best. Maybe put that on a side plate.
The server kept asking if I was finished, when I clearly had only eaten 1/2 my meal. She then tried to take my plate even though there was an untouched leg and a good bit of my side still on the plate. Ummm…offer a box.
Halfway through my meal, I sat for at least five minutes with no drink, which wasn’t very impressive. She was providing more attentive service to the tables around me.
Having been a waitress, my tips start at 30% since I usually dine alone (to make up for the fact they’re not getting tipped for 2 people) and go up or down based on service. This girl ended up with 22%.
My family had a remarkable experience at Tupelo Honey. My wife and I arrived early, while our three adult boys scootered around the lovely city of Charlotte. After enjoying a wonderful cocktail, relaxing at the bar, then took a stroll through the city, to return in time to be seated with the "boys". The service was excellent as we ordered appetizers, drinks, and our meals. Once the food began to arrive we realized what a special treat we were in for. Everyone raved about their food and tastes of each were shared. I ordered the meatloaf with two sides, the meatloaf and sauce were the best I have ever had! The fresh side salad with pecan vinaigrette was the most enjoyable salad I have had. The only regret of the evening was that no one had room for desert. Rest assured we will be visiting again. Thanks to all! Ron Siemienski and family
Thank you so much Siemienskis!! This has been an incredibly hard year for restaurants, and having wonderful guests like you makes every shift brighter. Thak you for your positivity and for choosing us as the place to dine with your family!
They were out of many items such as waffles Mack and cheese I really wanted banana pudding you guest it out.will not return
Recent supply chain issues have created many challenges for restaurants. Unfortunately, it has become normal for restaurants to not receive all of the product that they order. I hate to hear that these issues earned us a 1 star rating from you. Please know that our staff is always striving to go above and beyond, regardless of any obstacles, to give our guests the best expereince possible.
Delicious + quick service
We went to Tupelo Honey for lunch after receiving a birthday coupon for $20 off our bill. I am a member of their email club and was super excited to receive this offer. We made our reservation online and the only difficulty was finding a parking spot. This location is in Uptown Charlotte and does not have it's own parking lot. Street parking and local garages are the only options- leave extra time to find a spot!
We were greeted and the host sat us immediately. Our server, Isabelle, let us know that the kitchen was out of a few items and gave us time to look over the menu. Drinks and food came out super fast! We ordered the honey dusted fried chicken with a side of fries and biscuits. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! We finished our meal and were able to pay on our phone to reduce contact. We appreciated that everyone was wearing masks and following covid guidelines. We really enjoyed the meal and will definitely be back!
The meal and atmosphere was great and enjoy everything.
Went here before a Hornets game to get some fried chicken and a few drinks. Two of us had the white meat Honey Dusted chicken which had an underwhelming amount of flavor. One of us had the Sriracha chicken which was much better and would come back for. Our server was great but the restaurant was out of quite a few ingredients (Cauliflower, Shrimp and waffles) which was a bummer because we were looking forward to the chicken and waffles and the shrimp linguine. The sides of Mac and cheese were okay but one of us had the grits and thought they were delicious. Overall not a bad place to grab a drink but the food was mostly average.
Great good and service
Very small portions, dessert was pitiful! Pecan pie small was a tablespoon of something with lots if whip cream! Not the small as original Tupelo Honey! Doubt we’ll go back
