It was very nice. The spacing was perfect for COVID . Service okay and the food delicious. Took way too long to get my husband's beer
Vacation stop for lunch while on the way to Bryson City, NC. We couldn’t get reservations for Friday evening so we stopped for lunch. Great food and the wait staff was awesome! P
Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Wonderful service!
Good food. Our first time visiting S. Asheville location. Maybe it was us, but we thought the food wasn’t as good as the downtown location.
Tupelo Honey has certainly changed. They were out of honey for sale and they have stopped serving biscuits complimentary before the meal. My chicken breast was thin and had very little meat and my wing had no meat on it. Drinks are now $3.50 each which will really boost your bill. I would highly recommend you select another restaurant for dining.
We enjoyed our brunch and and the menu selections. The food was, very tasty and well prepared. Qe look forward to returning to try other menu items
Great customer service and staff! Food was amazing and the restaurant was clean and very efficient to all our needs.
We had a lovely dinner at Tupelo Honey. The chicken are waffles were excellent. The service was outstanding.
Fantastic staff! Very friendly. They even let us bring our pet parrot to the outdoor seating area. She had a wonderful time hanging out on the railing while we enjoyed a delicious brunch!
Ambiance and people were great at this location! The food was sub par, chicken disappointed me after hearing all the rave about it. Would rather talk to other locals about better spots to go, recommend Brian with on the gray line trolley service as a great guide!
We chose Tupelo Honey because they had a vegetarian bowl that we could eat. The waiter was very patient and understanding when we asked how it was prepared. He took great care to remove the items we couldn't eat. Trenton is the best. Please ask to sit at his tables if you eat during the lunch shift. Shrimp and grits were really good. Biscuits are to die for. Fried chicken is unique and worth the calories. We will definitely go back to this location. Not touristy. Outdoor seating and open air dining inside. I recommend making a reservation.
Food and service is always excellent
Awesome, we will be back.
Good solid place to eat. Would love to see more gluten free apps, sides and dinners. The service is great.
Shoo Mercy was impeccable. A lot of food but so good I couldn't leave any of it. Spice on the chicken and in the sweet potato pancakes were both just right. Rosemary and parmesan potatoes were perfect.
Mountain Harvest bowl was awesome too (taking my fiance's word ... she's just as particular and discriminating as I am).
The menu was so limited. Fried chicken being the prevalent protein.
Portions were like kids plates. I managed to get blackened catfish the waitress originally said they didn't have it. It was the size of my palm. About 2 fork fulls of greens and a tiny green salad, literally mixed greens, baby tomato and a few pieces of pickled onion. $19.25. Everything had to be salted. I know Covid hurt but you won't get customers back that way.
Delicious and enjoyable lunch. Beautiful restaurant. My only complaint is paying over $12 for an entree that was tiny.
The food was incredible but the service was subpar. The waiter was not friendly and unhelpful with menu questions. The redo wasn’t busy and properly staffed, maybe he was filling in for someone or having a bad day, but he was very unpleasant to deal with. Especially since this was our first time here.
Great service and great food. Thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience.
Perfect atmosphere with perfect food and just enough privacy to have serious conversation.
Yummy southern food, prompt service and great atmosphere. We'll come back soon.
Samantha was a great server. The food was awesome. I will be back again and again.
Food was so good, I order 2 more meals to go 😋. Yeessss sirrr!
The food was delicious. Customer service outstanding.
Great place to enjoy a nice meal for my birthday!
Helpful servers and good drinks. Packed on a Saturday night. Chicken was dry with no flavor—definitely wouldn’t recommend the chicken.
The food was wonderful and the atmosphere truly enjoyable!
Seating could have been managed better. We arrived for our reservation but were told that we would have to wait until "our table" was ready. But it was well before the dinner rush and there were plenty of tables available. Two couples came in after us without reservations but were seated. Could have used a little common sense and possibly seated us first? Just a suggestion. Will go back but will not use reservation system.
Our server wasn’t friendly at all . She served us that was it . Came back once then to get check . My friend needed more tea and well we just thought it wasn’t worth it .
First time back since covid . It was our go to place . Maybe not anymore .
We will try once more then decided .
Excellent service and Brunch meals were delicious
Excellent parking, nice patio space, fantastic biscuits!
They had the AC turned on even though it was 43 degrees outside & it was blowing on our heads, I had to get a jacket out of my van to put over my legs. Asked our waitress and she said something about it being a little cold in there.
Their chicken & waffles was a fatty thigh and not a chicken breast for over $15. Our waitress was not too attentive. This was my husbands birthday breakfast and for over $60 including tip we were disappointed.
The food was great as always. Our server was very attentive and efficient. The only complaint was that it was so cold indoors all the patrons and staff were having to wear coats.
Our food was ready in less than 15mins, which was helpful because I was starving. Food was good and not too pricey
Everything was delicious. I would recommend the restaurant to any and all.
Stopped in on the recommendation of our son and daughter-in-law. The service and food were very good.
We both had the meatloaf, which in our opinion can be risky in a new restaurant. But we both enjoyed it.
The key point is we would return when next in the Asheville area.
I took my friend to Tupelo for her birthday. It used to be there was some kind of acknowledgement of a special occasion. There was none. I was a bit surprised.
In addition, the server kept calling us "friend". He was between 18 and 23 and I am in my mid sixties. We are not friends and it was very irritating. "Ma'am", "Miss", or nothing as far as identification would have been fine, but calling me "friend" numerous times was inappropriate.
The food did not make up for the other items.
This Tupelo Honey has excellent food, as we have always found to be the case at other locations. However, it lacks the charm of the downtown location. The one negative from or dining experience was the slow drink service... we had to remind our waitress to bring our drinks. (There was a large party of approximately 16 or so people that seemed to put the wait staff in a dither.)
Very much appreciated the opportunity to reserve an outdoor table. Great service and excellent food.
Tupelo Honey was always a treat for me when coming to town prior to them “becoming a chain”. Having said that, I always looked forward to their sweet potato pancakes which was always a special treat. Unfortunately, they were not cooked properly. So very sad. For me, Tupelo Honey lost their personality. I’ll be trying somewhere new...
