The food was good. It's pretty busy so get a reservation.
Loved the shrimp and grits and bourbon meatloaf! The waitstaff was outstanding!
Loved to please
The food was so delicious. Service was pretty slow as they had several staff members out sick, but our server did his best to keep us happy with biscuits and desert. Everyone raved about the fried chicken and shrimp & grits.
They were out of almost all food that we ordered. The mahi-mahi tacos were good.
Food was great. Service was good. One problem was we were outsid and tables were wooden. Hey had open slats with old food stuck in the cracks. We also order the duo dessett. Banana pudding and pecan pie. It was one spoon full of each. When we arrived home I had a half of spoon of each and my wife had the same. Rip on dessert. Y
Reservations is the way to go, we met another couple there. Very busy Sunday lunch/brunch time. They told us they were short staffed and may be a little behind, but we were seated only 15 min late. Food and service worth the wait. We will go again!!
Having a reservation does not matter at this location. Had a 1130am reservation, arrived at 1115am, then had six tables were sat ahead of us...only to be sat at Noon. Walk ins asking to sit outside were sat before us when there was ample indoor seating. Also, the restaurant ran over it of glasses and started serving drinks in paper cups. Better off ordering to go and eating at home to get the same or better experience!
Excellent food and drinks in a pleasant location.
Wonderful brunch! Loved the vibrant atmosphere, friendly server and delicious food. Try the chicken and waffles! Best I've had in a long time.
Murray our waiter was excellent! Will definitely be back!
The Mac and cheese waffles with Asheville Hot Chicken were seriously good!
Easy to reserve. Nice, bright, sunny restaurant, good new southern food on a very busy weekend in Asheville. Efficient, courteous service. What’s not to like?
Easy to make reservation, unlike the downtown restaurant. Great service from the hostess to all our servers. The food was delicious and flavorful!
We've eaten here many times before. This time it was not the best. We asked for some modifications on the food (not spicy) and they did not deliver. To be fair, they did offer another dish and they did comp the spicy ones.
The service was OK, but again, not the best. And let's be clear, this is NOT their norm. They had a trainee, and they are short of staff.
We will definitely go back, hoping that crazy pandemic time will pass soon enough and all will be back to normal. Hang in there!
All the employees were very nice. The food was very good. I would definitely go there again.
Service was bad. Waited forever for drink refills. Had to ask for melted butter for Mahi 3 times. Food was average at best. Got the chicken because of the good reviews. Was not impressed with chicken. Brussels Sprouts we’re burnt. Collards were average. Long wait and when we got seated half the tables in restaurant were empty. I guess they are short handed like everyone else. No plans to ever eat here again.
I've been to this location multiple times with my husband and always have had good service. However, I made a reservation through Open Table and requested standard seating. Upon arrival the hostess checked us in and took us to a high top. We asked if we could be seated at a standard table, as that as our original request and after about 10 minutes of waiting, and 3 employees commiserating on where to seat us, we were finally taken to a standard table, 5 feet from the high top they were originally going to seat us. We waited an additional 15 minutes before even being welcomed. Bottom line we were seated in an unattended area that wasn't being waited on. There was clearly a lack of communication between the hostess and wait staff. I understand times are tough with Covid and restaurants are short staffed. However, when we were seated the hostess was well aware no one was waiting in that area of the restaurant and should have alerted the wait staff. When we were finally noticed our waitress was wonderful and very apologetic. I felt this was not her fault and the hostess should do a better job. We'll give this location another try and are hopeful we won't have the same poor experience. The food is awesome and we love this place.
No wait, prompt service, very good food and drinks.
Only negative was the ambiance. Its in the back of a strip center and has limited personality.
The food was very good, it could have been a little warmer temperature wise! Service was excellent!
Great service (Murray). They were out of the two salads I wanted but my unhealthy alternatives-fried cauliflower and jalapeños and Mac n Cheese were great! The lavender lemonade was delicious! And I only drank half because I rarely have that much sugar!
What a great place! The food and service were so good. This place is hard to beat if you want find a restaurant with tasty food and service to match. We will be coming back!
Delicious! Only problem is they don't have a location in South Florida where we live ;-)
I can describe the food as clean, intelligent and addictive. We started with the biscuits and blueberry jam. Loved the grilled chicken (tasted like it was infused with fresh basil). Finished with a mini pecan pie. I even loved the Iced Tea- very strong and fresh. Please come to South Florida!
Portion sizes have been reduced since pre-covid. Food is decent but this restaurants really needs a makeover.
Really enjoyed our experience. The service was great even as they were short a couple of servers.
Had to wait 20 minutes past reservation due to lack of waitstaff, a common problem post covid. Food and server were great.
Really enjoyed the shrimp and grits! Flavorful and not too spicy! Friendly staff.
Nice dining experience- Good Food & Service!
Very and fast service! Good was great and the restaurant is beautiful
Great food! Would highly recommend!
We love brunch at Tupelo Honey! The menu is always evolving, so there are always wonderful new dishes to try. And the cocktail selection is great!
Excellent Brunch I would recommend to anyone coming to town. Make sure you have a reservation!
Family met in Asheville
High expectations based on reviews I read. Way over-hyped by other reviewers. Food was ok but nothing special. Good service. Would not go out of my way to eat there again.
They were out of our first three menu preferences. The shrimp dish was heavy, too spicy and overpowering. The shrimp were sort of lost. Our server was apologetic and was very nice to get the manager to give us a complimentary appetizer, which was delicious. If I were going again, I would order several side dishes and skip the entree.
I could not wait to eat at this restaurant since I had heard great things about it whenever I asked someone where to eat. Unfortunately, I do not feel that it held up to the hype as far as food taste or service and we will choose to eat somewhere else next time
We brought our family out to dinner as we were passing through Asheville. They were very accommodating to our 4 kids. We sat outside, and it was very cute. My family felt comfortable and the kids were able to get up and walk around without distracting others. The cocktails were delicious, and the fried pickles were thin and crispy. Our entrees were pretty good too. Nothing crazy, but they were tasty. The entire waitstaff was very kind and friendly. Our waiter seemed a little overwhelmed and quick at times, but honestly that’s our only complaint.
Consistently delicious! I’ve been in Asheville for 23 years and Tupelo Honey never disappoints!
Biscuit was a bit dry. Ham on eggs Benedict was lunch meat thin.
