I’m so grateful that I come from a praying family. Whew because wow we normally enjoy Tupelo Honey but today’s experience was terrible. We were a large party and had come to celebrate my graduation. Our reservation was for 2 pm, but we weren’t seated until 2:45pm. The service was lackluster, slow, and inconsistent. The restaurant wasn’t even full or busy. We didn’t receive our plates until 4:30 pm. That is unacceptable. Drink orders were hit or mix. We waited, and waited and then we waited some more. The wait staff, at times, were rude. One waitress brought a club soda in response to one of our guests asking for a Moscow mule. Wow. We spoke to two managers, who moved with no urgency and did very little to improve our experience. There’s so much more to say but word count. We are extremely disappointed and hope that the service is critically scrutinized moving forward and that improvements are made immediately. 4/10.
Amazing Food! The service provided by Allison was outstanding and the GM, Andrew came by and introduced himself and spoke to us for a while. This was my first time eating there and It has won me. I will make it one of my regulars. I highly recommend it!
Great outdoor dining
Food was not as great and hot as expected. Experience and customer service was 10/01
Great food and exceptional service, thank you!
Amazing food that feels truly Southern! Loved the patio ambiance.
The WORST!!!! Dirty, Slow and inedible food!!
Let me first begin with our group, a party of 5, entered TH with the understanding that understaffing of restaurants right now is a real problem, thus our willingness to be patient. However, this was beyond anything we anticipated or expected. Due to the anticipated wait, we ordered an appetizer that never arrived. There was confusion over the menu listing of "mimosa" being brought to our table and stated as "sangria." This led to confusion and back and forth about what was ordered and what was sent from the bar. We also noticed that other tables were not receiving their orders in a timely fashion. After 1.5 hours, we still had not received our entrees. When we did, we boxed it up to go.
It is my opinion that Tupelo Honey needs to either stop accepting so many brunch reservations to facilitate better service OR close down completely for a period of time to retrain the staff so that a better customer service experience can be insured. I doubt very seriously if I will return.
Menu looked really great and southern hospitality mimosa was delicious. Food took too long to arrive and was just average. Server was really nice but got too busy to take care of us.
Nice ambience. Quick service and delicious food choices. Wish they served 100% maple syrup, but they had honey of course so that was good.
Really good menu and easier to find tables available.
Food wasn’t fresh
It was such a great experience! Food and drinks were great (the drinks were tasty and efficient). Best of all our server was amazing! I wish I knew his name so I could give him recognition. He was several steps ahead in attentiveness and his serving was strategic. Amazing job well done!
Cousins from out of town were visiting. I chose this place based on location and the fact that I had a great experience in the Nashville location. The moment I opened the door, I got a bad feeling. Trash littered the entrance-room floor. Store felt dirty after that.
Many many of the choices my party chose were unavailable. That was a bit embarrassing. Food was just ok. Not plentiful. Not memorable. Not even with any pretty presentation.
Waiter was excellent. Happy, cheerful, attentive, sympathetic, and efficient.
Just after we paid our bill, bright lights came on to remind us it was closing time, and we should get out now. Felt unappreciated.
Justin made the experience worth it. Unfortunately our food experience didn't match. Wrong orders, food delays, plates put on top of food. For my first experience outside since covid, I was mildly disappointed.
Very great brunch and the ambiance was very good to!
The ambiance at this restaurant was warming and inviting. It took a minute to get our main entrees but I don't blame the staff because they were probably short handed due to the pandemic. I had the southern omelet which was delicious! The mimosa were very good! I ordered the southern hospitality one that had peach nectar and pineapple juice! Overall my experience here was awesome and I will definitely come back!
Nice environment. Food was very bland. We ordered the chicken and waffles. The only thing I was able to taste was the sriracha sauce, the waffle was tasteless as well. We also ordered the grits, as a side and it was just ok.
The best part of my dining experience was the waiter's attentiveness and pleasant personality. Food was decent but nothing to brag about. Very unremarkable. Drinks were good but too expensive for the quantity.
We had an amazing time. Will definitely be back. Thank you 😊
I have been here before and I came back so obviously I like this spot...but today they really showed me their pedigree. Led by Britney my server...this brunch outing was nothing short of wonderful. The place was buzzing. Service was superb...and the food & drinks was excellent. I had the shrimp & grits. Shout out to Britney our server....she made excellent suggestions on the taco and beer.
Great outdoor patio, kid and pet friendly! We had originally made our reservation at 9:45 am for Saturday brunch, but was able to get there earlier at 9:15 and they seated us no problem. Plenty of room on the spacious patio. Although there is no longer a mask protocol, definitely felt a safe distance between tables, and our lovely waitress KK was cheerful and wore her mask at all times. First, bless their hearts for accommodating a child that was at times fussy, very active and rambunctious. KK waited for us to order because it took some time to settle him down. The child also made friends with fellow patrons because he loves dogs, and we watched in delight as the 2 guys who brought their dog ordered their pet a meal, and explained they come at least once a week for that very reason.
Our meal was also very hearty and delicious -- I ordered the Old Skool breakfast bowl, which was huge, and the grits were cheesy and creamy. Rest of the table ordered various iterations of pancakes -- also very fluffy and the blueberry version has a heaping topping! One of our party had ordered soysage, but they accidentally brought pork sausage -- they apologized and immediately brought out replacement. Definitely will come back because of the laid back atmosphere, friendly service, and spacious accommodations, and will explore more of the menu.
Try the Brussel sprouts and the pork grilled cheese!
Service was inattentive, especially considering how slow it was. The honey dusted fried chicken was dry and has zero hunk of their signature honey dust. The honey sriracha fried chicken was saucey, which was unexpected. A better description of the dish would have been helpful. The Mac n cheese seemed warmed up and my green bean were cold. Disappointing meal and will not return to this location again.
Staff was friendly and ambiance was nice. Service slow and food was good, except some items were sold out, and some of food was cold. Due holiday service was behind. Recommend show up earlier ( before 1pm) and make a reservation. Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes pancakes and fried chicken tasty.
Our waitress was amazing, but it was obvious they were short staffed. Instead of allowing so many ppl into the restaurant with little to know wait staff, management should find a better way to ppl manage. There is no need to over work the waitstaff as a money grab.
Making a reservation was there way to go! We walked past so many groups of people waiting to be seated, and no wonder- the food was AMAZING!!! My party had breakfast, salad, and lunch. Appetizers of fried cauliflower and their signature biscuits with blueberry compote were the perfect starters. Their chicken and waffles never leave you wanting for more- completely satisfying. Mom said the salad was perfect. My husband’s meatloaf was so tasty. He MADE me try it, knowing that I hate meatloaf, and I have to say, I could have eaten the entire loaf. Our waiter was attentive an FB made sure we had everything we needed. Great brunch vibes indoor and outdoors. Overall wonderful place to brunch, lunch!
Reservation was smooth, but food was horrible. They substituted chicken breasts for the thighs noted on the menu and did not notify or ask if that was ok. Side dishes were were cold.
Great food and atmosphere
Awful. The good news is that we were able to be seated at the time of our reservation. The sad news is the server was not kind and we received our food 45 minutes after we were seated. I asked to speak with a manager and the manager never showed.
This experience was so much different from the one we had in Ashville.
The food was not as great as last time. We were very understanding with our waitress because it seemed like she was the only one on duty. It's best to visit on a regular work day and not a holiday.
Even giving a lot of leeway for COVID, both service and food left a lot to be desired. Had to ask for silverware 3 times. No menus provided to us but family at the next table got them. Cast iron pork came out with the cast iron pan hot and the pork fridge-level cold. Fried chicken was incredibly dry. As we were finishing our drinks and still intending to sit for another 10 minutes the waitress took my daughter’s high chair away (my daughter was out standing next to my wife for a minute) and ignored our “hey we’re still using that” comment - fitting way to end a bad meal.
The restaurant is cute and has a nice vibe. The service was lovely. The food isn’t great though and there aren’t many vegan options. It also didn’t feel very kid friendly. The kids cups are just coffee cups with straws stuck in them.
The food was honestly just okay, not really tasty, my friends and I didn’t really enjoy anything we ordered. The server was really nice, and the mimosas were good. The food was bland.
I haven’t been here in about 3 years. I was hoping the service was the same. Gladly, I wasn’t disappointed. We made a reservation (highly recommend during the weekend) and was seated promptly. Our server was great and knowledgeable. She recommended some great food choices. Overall a delightful experience.
I had the Shoo Mercy. It was delicious. It used to be served with chicken breast and they changed it to thighs... EXCELLENT DECISION!!! It tastes so much better, I asked if there was a new chef.
Got waters and coffee when we first arrived, had to flag down server for refills but was never offered a refill on coffee ( which was lousy).
After flagging down server and placing our orders we waited over an hour for meals to arrive. Eggs Benedict were inedible- cold, completely cooked eggs and a tasteless hollandaise. Took 1 bite and sent them back.
Noise level was deafening despite only being operated at limited capacity.
Definitely will not be returning!
The food was great but our service wasn’t. I believe we had a manager (no apron, button down shirt). We barely saw her and she took forever to take our order. I believe her friends came in and they got great service. So great that she basically forgot about us. We were there at least an extra 45 min because of sheer neglect. Don’t go for the service.
Friendly servers however they never came back to check on us once they dropped the appetizers. We ordered 2 orders of biscuits which felt and tasted days old and definitely not as described on the menu. After 30-40 mins when the servers came back she she replaced the biscuits which were fresh but then the entrees came and it doesn’t look like the pictures at all. No shade but if you’re looking for a southern meal I wouldn’t recommend. I would compare this to food at a senior living facility or Piccadilly’s.
