Why was I charged for refills on regular sweet tea!! Deal breaker for sure!! I will not go nor recommend ever!!
Unfortunately I was not impressed with the food. Everyone in my party ordered a fried chicken dish of some sort and all of the chicken was over fried and specifically the chicken breast were completely dried out and not edible. Service was a tad bit slow and we didn’t get any water until our meals were over and needed water to wash down the dry chicken abs biscuits we had. I’ve enjoyed Tupelo in the past at a different location and this experience was nothing like my original experience.
Our server KayKay was great
We had to go find a server to help us after we’d been seated for almost 15 minutes without any help in sight. Then we found the food to be very mediocre. We would not recommend this restaurant.
The food & service at Tupelo Honey are great. The drinks, while tasty, are small and not cheap…. And not much alcohol. One lady had a Bloody Mary which was about the size of a small juice glass.
Met friends there yesterday for early dinner. We started with the fried green tomatoes on grits to share. Very tasty. Two of us had the vegetable plate- everything was delicious especially the collards. I tried the peach cole slaw…but that was disappointing. Desserts- banana pudding was yummy!
Poor waitress service. I had to track her down several times to get drink refills, condiments, and to go boxes.
Food was okay. Service was horrible. This was a 75th Birthday dinner that we reserved in advance. I realize the pandemic has affected the shortage of staff, but we went very long periods of time without any refills or any service. Never was offered dessert (I guess I should have brought my own for the celebration). Waited 45 min for the check.
Food was excellent. The fried green tomatoes were everything!!!
The fried chicken lacked any seasoning, and the Mac and cheese waffles were bland. The shrimp linguine was good but wish the chicken was good.
Good was amazing! I had a birthday dinner here and all my guest loved their food. I loved my food and my little birthday banana pudding dessert (: waiter was great, wish I remembered his name.
Awful service. The food took 1.5 hours to come. Flies everywhere. The food was ok but the wait was just ridiculous. Won’t be going back .
Food & service was awesome
I got the cast iron pork with two sides. The pork was delicious, but my side of Brussels sprouts were too crispy and collard greens were too salty. Would not recommend those sides. Also, our server took forever to check on us and give us the bill.
Food was good. Waffles had great texture and great flavor. Fried chicken was good. Great service.
Our waitress, Brittney, was amazing! The food was great as always. Totally recommend the fried green tomatoes. We will definitely be back.
Everytime I've come to Tupelo, I leave with a "Happy Tummy!😊" From the "Fried Green Tomatoes, to the Fried Chicken", I never tire of coming.
Great tastes, wonderful service and atmosphere!!!
Good place for a business lunch, had the chicken & waffles - AWESOME!
The food was not good. I had chicken dusted with honey. It was dry and so was my side of Mac and Cheese. I had two friends and they were saddened also by the quality of the food. The tacos my friend did not eat but one of the three. My other friend had pasta with a red sauce and meat. She did not even finish it. My measure is how my friends react during the meal. I cannot not return to this restaurant. I have dined with Open Table for years and this was a first. I apologized to my friends for this selection.
Very average food. Service was good for not being busy. Parking at this location is terrible. Had to circle the lot several times will not be going back to eat in the restaurant. May consider ordering carry out.
The service was prompt and professional. Food was great though chicken was a little over cooked, the waffle was great. Love the ability to pay virtually and divide checks.
Was very open and loud but very inviting and would definitely return.
Server was very professional, pretty and intelligent. She helped us with our selections and made sure to keep our drinks filled. The location was nice and the size of the restaurant was bigger inside than you expect from looking at the outside.
Loved it here. Very kind people and great service. Great food too!
A bit too loud
Food was fine….not outstanding
Reservation was honored promptly
Server was pleasant but the restaurant was very busy so no water refills, had to flag down server for refills
Food tasted good but we waited over an hour to get it. It was not many people in the restaurant either. No offer or apology. I normally enjoy my visit but if this is a sign to come than I may not be back.
Slow service. Took an hour for food to be ordered. Our meal total took 2 and a half hours. Waiter kept forgetting drinks and waited 20 minutes before getting us waters. We’ve been a few times before but I don’t think we’ll be going back. And the chicken was way to dry to pay nearly $20. Tea was watered down.
Made a reservation and when walking in you immediately saw how understaffed they were. Iced water didn’t have any ice in it. Waitress was clearly overwhelmed. Ordered some appetizers that were good. Ordered drinks that took a long time to come out. Entrees also took forever to come out as well. There was not any pepper sauce for collard greens- weird! Everyone is understaffed right now which I understand, but you have to turn people away so the people who come to support the restaurant, will return.
Great place to hang out, good drink selection and food menu. The wait staff was just so friendly and amazing. We loved our guy, totally forgot his name after the Mimosa went in. But he’s the cool dude with the Diamond nose stud.
They have indoor and outdoor seating. We loved the Avacado toast appetizer!
Very attentive and friendly service. Tasty, creative recipes.
Food was delicious. It took over an hour for our appetizers to arrive but in the meantime the table that was sat 15 min after us received their order before they were brought out. We did have different servers too so that could have been the difference. We went in knowing it could take awhile due to staff shortages but when another table gets their order before your appetizers are brought out it is ridiculous.
The food was NOT good !! My chicken was dry/ over cooked ( No flavor ) , my waffle was dry/ bland ( NO flavor )
We had a great experience at Tupelo Honey! All the food was delicious and innovative, the restaurant itself was comfortable, and the service was quick and attentive
Food was good, but the server was really struggling.
Food wasn't all that good. The chicken was old and hard. The biscuits were the only thing that was tasted like anything.
Roy was our server and he suggested the lemon drop Martini! He was very pleasant and attentive. It was amazing and I also had the Mac and Cheese Waffle it's a must try.
I’m sure this is normally a great place. I know restaurants are short staffed now and hopefully that will change. Our server was knowledgeable about their offerings and was quick to offer thoughts on our proposed orders. However she was alone in the section we were in so she was stretched to keep up. For the menu, I’ve never had chicken thighs used for Chicken and waffles. Wish that was pointed out on the menu. Also the waffle iron was dead so I had pancakes as a substitute. My mistake. The tables need to have the tops refreshed as they are sticky from constant cleaning. This is a open space that can be cool. I like the concept and will try again. Hopefully the managers will take inventory of their operations and view the experience from a customer point of view and fix a few of these issues.
The ambiance was great.
The visit was hampered by the big four
Not tasty like the Asheville location
Our server really tried but the kitchen let her down.
I’ve been to this restaurant several times and the entire experience has alway been amazing so I thought to bring my mom and her colleagues to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately, it was the WORST experience I’ve ever had in dining. Our food - our orders were wrong & horrible to say the least. I specifically came there for the infamous sweet potato pancakes of which I told our waitress when I ordered a stack for myself and my mom yet she never put my order of them in and when I asked her where they were her response was”I know we spoke about them but I didn’t know you wanted me to order them” then she only brought my mother the regular mix pancakes and instead of admitting that she put the order in wrong she tried to convince us that they were the right pancakes. She never offered us water or silverware to eat with we had to request it. It took 45 minutes for part of our party to receive our first round of drinks & when we got our 2nd I told her that 2 of our party members hadn’t received their first drink yet & her response was “I only have 2 hands”. The only reason as to why I’m giving 2 stars is because the manager is as completely understanding, compassionate & empathetic. He apologized and even discounted our bill graciously. While my mom and her colleagues probably will no longer returns as it was their first time, I certainly hope they change their employees customer service.
It’s was wonderful! First time there and would definitely go back. The biscuits are amazing!
First time experience. Food & service was great.
