Quality of food is decreasing. Staple dish chicken and biscuit entree tasted day-old.
Waited 15 minutes for a server. Had to go inside and request some attention. Then had to wait another 15 minutes for our cocktails. The appetizer was cold- we ate it anyway because we were so hungry. Had to go back in and ask about the cocktails. They finally came out and mine was wrong- they took it back and fixed it. Entrees came out, food was good. No one checked on us for 20 minutes, had to go back in and ask for a box and the check and a to-go dessert. Dessert came out, not to go. They gave us a discount- still not worth it. It was brutal. Asheville location is always good- this one was not. Oh well.
We had the pork shoulder annd the meatloaf, 2 dishes that could have been ordinary. Rather, each was distinctive and nicely presented. The potato cracklings were deliciously different too. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, making our time at Tupelo Honey a wonderful dinner out.
Great service with amazing food and drinks. Will be back with friends. Thanks
Outstanding service and food. Server very knowledgeable and polite. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a god dining experience.
We had a reservation for Father’s Day and we ended up getting there a little early and they were super accommodating and got us in a little earlier than our scheduled time. Food came out super quick and it was very good! Only thing se did not like was that the bar was closed. It would have been nice to grab a few drinks and relax a bit and hang out but that option wasn’t available to us.
Great food but the kids meals portions were huge. My kids burgers looked like mondo burgers lol but very flavorful
Father’s Day with family.
Tupelo Honey is a comfortable place to go for couples, friends and families. The food is amazing and my blooding Mary was very good.
Great place for special occasion. Interesting take on southern cooking with a twist.
My Bloody Mary was excellent if a bit on smallish size for all the extra stuff they put in it--pickled okra, olive, and a strip of bacon. A little overdone but good.
Only negative is they have but two desserts. That said, the banana pudding was as good as I have ever had anywhere including my Mother's, Mother-in-law's, and any other great home cooked pudding. It is just to rave over. Every ingredient was done perfectly--lots of bananas, creamy smooth custard, thick and sugar crunchy whipped cream and of course just enough vanilla wafers.
Great experience! Service was good, food was fabulous and quick! We really enjoyed ourselves!
Always amazing and the host was great :) Wonderful Fathers day and it was my husbands first time there.
Fun take on southern food, family friendly place, nice atmosphere. Parking fills up fast might have to park at a shopping center and walk 2 mins.
Great place to celebrate Father's Day! Will definitely be back.
Wait staff was great. EXTREMELY SLOW SERVICE FROM THE BAR AND KITCHEN. The restaurant want not very busy. The food was mediocre.
I would highly recommend this to anyone for pretty much any occasion. Is a very nice place in a great area. Parking relatively close(within a 1/4 mile). Food was great(best fried chicken I have ever had). It is upscale fried chicken(they’re specialty). Very great vibe and great service.
Was expecting better ambiance, it was a bit too casual but the food made up for it. Everything was delicious - drinks, apps, entres. Will definitely return!
Great! Thought the food was going to take awhile because the place was packed but it came at a good pace
Always love coming here! The manager and service is top notch as is the food and drinks. Couldn’t have been any better!
Go to Tupelo Honey!!! The absolute best chicken & waffles!!! Great atmosphere & excellent service!!!!
nice place, good food and very attentive friendly staff
will go again
Great meal. Great service.Came with a small child and was very accommodating.
Absolutely amazing! The food was delicious! Cannot wait to go back again.
Wonderful atmosphere, drinks, food, service… one of our fave places to eat! Pepper Bloody Mary, fried green tomato app & biscuits a must! My top meanie item is the avocado rainbow bow - yum! Just yum!
Great food and service
Loved Tupelo Honey. The lone server was also the bartender who was amazing!
Add more vegetarian food options, something without eggs and meat.
This restaurant --like so many others right now --- is suffering from not enough staff. It took a long time to take our order, and to deliver the food. That's because one poor waiter was assigned to multiple tables plus the bar! When the food came though, it did not disappoint. My veggie plate was amazing: Brussels sprouts, peach slaw, cheesy grits, and a side salad (with an amazing white balsamic dressing)! I look forward to going back soon, I love this food. I must say I was disappointed to see the fried green tomatoes are ONLY available as a large plate -- I could not have it as one of my four veggies - that's a boo-hoo.
We have been to 3 different Tupelo Honey's and this was our first bad experience. After being seated waited quite a while for our drinks to be served which one was forgotten.(glass of wine). Waited at least 20-25 minutes for apps to make it to the table which one didn't arrive ( biscuits). No more than 1 minute after apps got to the table they brought our entrees. Then finally the biscuits. I ordered half a fried chicken and the breast piece was extremely dry, almost inedible. When ordering our dinner waitress informed us they were already out of fish, so no fish options at all, and out of the shrimp and grits. We were seated at 6:30 pm so awful early to run out of items!? Seems they are more like a chain now, rather than a neighborhood restaurant. Many other good restaurants in Raleigh to go other than here. On a positive note the meatloaf and biscuits were good.
Great spot for brunch. The cocktails and mimosas were great and well worth the money. Reservation highly recommended on a Sunday. The reservation process was smooth. 10/10 would recommend.
We had an amazing brunch! The food was amazing!!! It was so good and a great amount of food for the price. The drinks were great- we tried two different types of mimosas. The server was so friendly and prompt. It was the best experience I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time.
Our server was excellent! Very personable and attentive to our needs. Unfortunately, the food was below mediocre. I got the southern style brunch plate and only ate the eggs. The chicken lacked flavor completely which was unfortunate, and the waffle was also mediocre.
Good food and a nice atmosphere! Remember to make a reservation, because its a popular spot.
Sat outside on a beautiful June Sunday for Brunch, the food was really good and not too much!
Fantastic food and service
Out of most draft beers and food was cafeteria style. Definitely precooked and not fresh.
I remember biscuits and honey on the table...a draw since the Cafe is called Tupelo HONEY... NOW it's an appetizer for$4.00. Menu is not as exciting as I seem to recall 2 or more years ago...bring back the pre- covid menus please. The server was lovely and got everything right. The table surface was a bit tacky to the touch probably from all the disinfectant sprays. Maybe change cleaning agent? Anyway, I was there with friends, we all had a nice time, food was okay but not what I'd return for until some additions are made. Pecan pie was delicious and light, not heavy and gloppy...cheers to the dessert chef.
I hope I have provided helpful insight...it was not my intention to insult anyone...
Sat at the bar. Bartender was great- very friendly and accommodating. Ordered the sweet heat chicken sandwich , southwest omelet, turmeric ginger tonic (amazing!) the dessert duo (pecan pie better than banana pudding)., and biscuits (superb!). Both entrees were barely l lukewarm. The Chicken sandwich tasted great but was the toughest chicken breast I’ve ever tried to chew. Honestly almost choked trying to get it down. Disappointing. But overall enjoyed the experience.
The Service was amazing! Th food left a lot to be desired... It has been hyped up so much , I was expecting fireworks! The biscuit and waffles were flavorless and dry, even with butter and honey on them. The banana pudding is next level though.... I'd go just for that!
