Yums in my tums
My husband and I came here to celebrate our 16 year anniversary and we had a GREAT time. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was just as great. I recommend this spot for all foodies young and old. Families, couples, groups of friends and even solo diners. You will not be let down.
Entree size can be shared
Will be back
Every time I go to Asheville, Tupelo Honey is a must ! Love the food and the drinks and the service is great. If, you can get a reservation I highly recommend or you will probably be waiting.
Best breakfast ever..... bloody Mary’s full of flavor
Came for a bachelorette party! Loved that we could make a reservation! Drinks and food were fantastic! Would recommend to everyone, we will be back!
Awesome service. Great food!! Everything was wonderful. Only reason for not total five stars was the floors were quite greasy.
Very pleased with our return visit. Very much like the Tupelo Honey Margarita, Smoked Jalapeno Ribs, Honey Dusted Fried Chicken and Pecan Pie.
We joined the club and received a gobo for an entry. The food quality was much better the average. The staff were friendly and attentive. Be careful at the front high tops, the chairs slide VERY easily on the floor. The floor itself is not slippery.
Family friendly! They have a kids menu. Food was very tasty!
Maybe I just ordered the wrong meal? I would prefer a small yet deliciously memorable portion over a large portion that is memorable simply because of its size. While the chicken was indeed tender, it certainly lacked flavor and seasoning that would make me want more. Sweet potato pancakes were just pancakes that needed a lot of maple syrup. For a "specialty pancake, my mark for goodness is that it does not need any syrup. Even the buttermilk biscuit was nothing to write home about. Best thing about the entire meal - the water and pasta straw!! Far better option then the paper variety.
Very delicious! Loved the grits. Leaves you feeling pretty heavy and a ready for a nap, but I’d do it again!
The food was so salty it was inedible. This is a place for overpriced blue plate specials though most blue plate specials are better than the food here. There are many good places to eat in Asheville. Don’t waste
time and money here.
Good southern food and great service. Much better value than many of the other restaurants in downtown Asheville. Fried chicken was great. Blackened catfish was good but way over seasoned for blackened.
We ate here based on many friends recommendations and were a little disappointed. The brussel sprouts were extra salty and the catfish was very spicy but still edible. My son tried to eat the mac and cheese and green beans, but neither had much flavor compared to the bbq joint we ate at the night prior. We did enjoy the chicken but we didn't feel like we got our $85 worth for 3 people to eat and drink. The service was very good. We just wished the food lived up to the hype.
This food was so good and the service was incredible! I wish I had gotten our servers name. We had two limited eaters at the table and he worked so hard to accommodate them both. Will definitely come back!
We came on a family trip they were more than accommodating.
They not only set us next to each other, but combined our party so we could all sit together. Server was outstanding - Explained the menu & drinks in detail. Atmosphere was amazing. Highly recommend.
From the atmosphere, quality of good and beverages, the attentiveness of our server, this was one of my favorite trips to this restaurant.
Service left a little to be desired but it was not for lack of effort. Drinks were fantastic, food was phenomenal, and it was all very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend!!
My first visit to Asheville, so I had to try Tupelo Honey. Not disappointed. Food was great, service was awesome, and the atmosphere was bumping. Just what you'd expect for a Saturday brunch. Would definitely go back next trip.
A must-go to place to eat when visiting Asheville. Highly recommend their Homemade biscuits, Fried Green Tomatoes, Pimento Cheese and Cheese Grits!!!
Need more vegetarian options
The food was kind of bland and over priced for what it was but the drinks were good and creative and the service was excellent!
Great experience in downtown Asheville! Would definitely go back
Tupelo Honey is a favorite Asheville fixture. We are glad the downtown Asheville location now takes reservations, which is so much preferable to standing in a long line waiting for a table! Our party of four was there on Friday night, and although it was quite busy, our table was ready at the appointed time. Quite busy quickly devolved into hectic, and that word is probably best to describe our service. Helen was a cheerful server, but she had responsibility for too many tables to deliver consistently attentive service. Our Manhattans were cold and delicious; our dinners (three fish, one meat loaf) were quite good. I brought at least half of my blackened catfish dinner home for another meal, also quite good warmed over. The noise level at TH is high, which contributed to the hectic feeling. It's fair to add that the four of us are in our 70s, and the noise level may not be a negative to younger patrons. There's a Tupelo Honey in our south Asheville neighborhood, which we enjoy frequently. Although also busy, it feels less hectic. Murray is our favorite server there, and we'll always ask for him! His charm and memory are legendary.
Nine of us, 3 generations, all agreed that Tupelo Honey hit all the sweet southern high notes we expected. Food was terrific and the atmosphere was perfect for the family dining experience we anticipated from this iconic Asheville eatery.
Food is fantastic, the fried green tomatoes and fried chicken brought back fond childhood memories. The noise level inside made it difficult to carry on a conversation. I think next time a late lunch and outside would be better! Food was really delicious
Amazing food! Glad we made a reservation because this place is busy! Now we know why 😊
The restaurant was too noisy. It took a very long time to get our food (about 45 min). The food was okay, but not good. However, our server was very good at trying to satisfy my sister-in-law's special diet restrictions (vegan).
The best breakfast- started with an amazing BloodyMary!!
Amazing food, not too pricey. Service is 5/5, 100%, on point. The Chicken & Biscuits is a MUST.
Loud, extremely hot. I requested main dining and was sat at a high top at the bar. So busy I didn’t argue but they provide any other option.
Made a reservation weeks in advance for 5. Showed up and they crammed us around a table for 4. They were not willing to correct it - young female manager was clueless. Waitress was good. Food was very average. Won’t be going back!!
Sadly the server was very abrupt and the food was disappointing, we used to love dining here but obviously something has changed. Don’t think we’ll be going back.
We spent 4th of July in Asheville and made our reservations early which was a good idea! They were packed but regardless of the amount of people in the restaurant the food was spectacular! The hanger steak, trout and shrimp and grits were superb! Thanks for always delivering a great experience!
Exceeds expectations! Eat upscale or classic southern comfort food. Great place to bring out-of-town guests!
We were a party of 7 plus a 15 month old, and our server accommodated us all beautifully. The couple hiccups were 1) the two orders of steak were a bit tough and dry, and 2) there were 2 popular menu entrees they had already run out of by 6pm on a holiday evening - that was disappointing. But overall the food was delicious, and we had a great time. Thanks so much for making our 4th of July memorable!
Our first time to the area. Thought we would try Tupelo Honey. Disappointed. Everything we wanted to order they were out of. Three different entrees and a appetizer. For a Thursday night this was not good. Service was slow and atmosphere was loud. Not sure it would be a place we would try again.
I had the honey dusted fried chicken with collard greens and baked macaroni with cheese. My friend had the fried chicken sandwich with the same sides. My chicken started with a slightly sweet taste and ended with a little heat (like red chilli powder). Everything was delicious. My friend even ordered a macaroni with cheese to go. It was that good!
Tupelo Honey is a great dining experience. From the delicious menu to the beautiful decor to the thoughtful staff. We had Bell as our waitress and she was amazing. Not only was she very helpful and attentive. If you are going for breakfast I definitely recommend the shoo mercy sweet potato pancakes. (However you should probably split them with someone else.) You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We will definitely be back again.
