Tupelo Honey - Downtown Asheville
Food was average. Mimosa was delicious. I'd go again if someone else suggested it, but it likely wouldn't be my first choice.
The food was amazing! The service was excellent! Will definitely be back.
Probably the best meal we ever had! Great service, reasonable prices and cool ambiance. The only negative were;
1) our table was near the restroom, having people lined up for the bathroom in front of us :(
2) all the homeless folks laying in the square in front of the restaurant. Gave us a guilt -trip while eating fine food.
Really enjoyed this place. The food and drinks were excellent. Staff were very friendly and attentive. It was a relaxed atmosphere even though it was pretty busy
We enjoyed our meal and the live music outside! The appetizers are the best!
Always a great meal at Tupelo Honey downtown Asheville!
Unfortunately we were seated next to a table of 12+ with about 8 out of control children that absolutely ruined our dinner. Couldn’t have enjoyed our food if we tried over the noise. Waiter didn’t seem to notice, so I assume this is normal for this restaurant-definitely needs some training-he acted like we were on a time limit to eat after waiting 45 minutes for food offered dessert as we are still eating entrees
Waitress was pretty clueless and could not explain the menu. Charged extra for boneless breasts which was not explained. One diner ordered a burger. Several minutes After everyone’s food was served the waitress said there had been an “accident” and they messed up the burger. Second burger came much later. It was prepared with wrong cheese.
Table was ready on time. Food came quickly and was delicious! Our server was great. He recommended several things for us that ended up being amazing.
Excellent food and service! Typical busy and noisy downtown location but still a lot of fun.
Overrated and low quality food…. Very disappointed.
Arrived 15min early & had to wait until our exact time to be seated, which was kind of annoying since they sat some other people ahead of us. The (girl) server at the bar seating was excellent, even if she snuck some biscuits that we said we didn’t want, they were good & for a good cause, sooo….oh well, only $4…We did have to wait a bit for our food, but the green tomatoes appetizer & biscuits held us over just fine. Sangria drink is way overpriced, but good. Chicken & waffles were spot on. Shrimp & grits were the best we’ve ever had. Would recommend.
Phenomenal food! Visiting from out of town and couldn't be happier with this food choice. Meal had excellent flavors and fabulous drinks. We got the classic chicken and waffles with the country gravy.
Got order wrong. Didn’t keep our drinks full, had to ask him to give refills. Shrimp were not fully cook. In the past had much better service and food. Seems like it’s going down hill.
Wonderful service. Good wine and cocktail selection.
We enjoyed our entire experience here. The ability to reserve bar seating was nice. I had the fried chicken salad and my boyfriend had the meatloaf with collard greens. Both were prepared well and very flavorful. If we come back to the area we would definitely return here.
If your looking forward taste of southern food, this place is highly recommended. From our fried green tomato appetizer to the mac and cheese waffles with hot chicken, you can’t go wrong. This place was recommended by a friend and we are so glad we tried it!
Fantastic server, great food. Especially the fried green tomatoes!
Excellent food! Tak en on time - worth the wait.
Brian our server was outstanding !
We enjoyed our lunch...great stop! Highly recommended!
fabulous southern style food. Wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. Had dinner there my first night in Asheville and then breakfast the morning I left.
Very tasty food!
We loved everything about our experience at Tupelo Honey and will definitely be back!
Place was great. Service, food and drink selection was on point
Amazing food. Order the biscuits- they’re huge and delicious. And what you pay for them becomes a charitable donation!! Also excellent prices. Go, go, go!!!
Great experience really enjoyable meal makes Asheville a great time
We sat outside on a rainy night and the screens kept the water out. Outstanding service and food
OMG! This is my absolute favorite place to go for lunch when in Asheville. We went to celebrate my girlfriends birthday on Saturday and had Zoe for a server who was very nice and helped achieve my dreams of getting an extra to go side of their ranch dressing which I love (store bought ranch just never does the trick, it has to be homemade!). We ordered the fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, and mahi-mahi tacos with a side of their amazing mac n cheese and as per usual, the food was delicious! They brought a mini banana pudding with a candle at the end for my girlfriend which put a smile on her face. I cannot wait for the next trip!! Also, love the margs!!
Had lunch on the patio. Made reservations well in advance to avoid a wait. Service was spectacular and portions were large. Our server was able to recommend a hike to a waterfall that we did after our lunch. Perfect day.
I am a big fan, it's not just breakfast, it's always part of our vacation.
DeShawn was amazing! He had answers for all of our questions and made our night! His recommendations for food and drink were on point. His duck t shirts was awesome.
Sat at the bar. Servers were great, friendly. Food was outstanding. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.
Expected a little more for the reviews we read and for what you pay for a meal here.
Great ambiance and service. Food was eclectic and yummy.
Food and service was great. Nice portions and friendly staff. Brad B
Really enjoyed my experience. Reservations at the bar and the service was great. Enjoyed the freshness of the food and cocktail quality. Must try the spicy honey sauce on the side with the fried chicken. Collards were delicious; Mac & Cheese could use a bit more seasoning. If you like more pudding with your banana pudding you will enjoy theirs. If you desire more wafers then pass.
Not suitable for vegans at all, wait staff seemed harried at less than full capacity.
Loved our meal and the waiter was great! The noise level was high because we sat outside and there was construction on the street - not a factor if the resturaunt. Highly recommend it!
