Tupelo Honey - Downtown Asheville
Great food! Rebecca was a great server!
The food was wonder!! Our waitress was adorable. All around a perfect dinner!!
Fun place for dinner! We are glad we made reservations, and were able to get in 15 minutes early!
Fried chicken and Mac & cheese very dry. Crispy Brussel sprouts burnt. Even if chicken was good, at $13 for just a small leg & thigh isn’t worth it. Maybe living off it’s reputation.
Food is of course excellent but the confusion at the front desk and the frantic pace of the dining room seriously detract from the experience. Not sure I will be back.
Service was great - biscuits and fried chicken are awesome. Well worth it - fun drinks as well. Overall great evening.
I asked the waiter for a recommendation regarding beer. I specified that I wanted a simple beer without fruit etc in it. Despite clearly stating this no less than three times, I got one with lime, lemon and ginger. Upon tasting the lime lemon and ginger, I went up to the bar to ask the bartender for a recommendation, she asked me if I was in a booth. When I stated yes, she said that my waiter would help me and walked away. This is unacceptable. The only redeeming quality was the food. It was quite good but it does not and will not make up for the service. When I saw them while on vacation in Asheville, knowing that they have a location a few miles from my house, I wanted to try them for the first time. I don't see myself going to the one near my home, due to this experience.
Our waitress was outstanding and made the experience first class. First time visit; we will return!
Amazing food and great service! Will go back on another visit to Asheville.
I went there for the sweet potato pancakes and they were delicious. My husband had the avocado toast points with eggs. They were very good as well. I recommend a reservation a few days in advance using Open Table.
I had breakfast at Tupelo Honey while visiting downtown Asheville. The food and the service was great. I will definitely be back next time I am in Asheville.
Food was pretty good. I've had better fried chicken but I've also had worse. The biscuits were phenomenal. The shrimp & grits were amazing. The food arrived quickly and the service was great. I would definitely eat here again.
Awesome place and yummy food. We had a great time and service was fabulous!! Highly recommend
Outstanding! Doesn’t get any better than Tupelo Honey!
Tupelo Honey was outstanding! Any of their chicken offerings cannot be beat. I had the spicy & sweet fried chicken sandwich and it was Fantastic. If you are in Asheville, you need to enjoy a meal here.
Food was ok. Menu limited. Salad was small. Pricey for the value. Service was great.
Great downtown location. Make reservations. Good fried chicken and fried green tomatoes.
The food and service were good, but we didn’t get our appetizer. I suppose the waiter forgot since it wasn’t on the check either.
Exceptional service! High quality food- taste and presentation were top notch! I can’t wait to eat here again!
Breakfast was amazing! Very quick service for everyone being sat at 10am when they opened.
It was a beautiful, sunny day, so by comparison it felt dark and noisy. Food was good and server was attentive. May try it again on a cold winter day.
Most fabulous food! The bowls, the fried green tomatoes and Gouda grits are heavenly! Amazing fried chicken and waffles! Will come here every single time I’m in town!!!
Fried green tomatoes were delicious.
We were in town on vacation from Louisiana. We heard Tupelo Honey was a great place to stop and it didn’t disappoint. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. My kids ordered waffles and bacon - delicious. My husband ordered the pork cooked in duck fat and no kidding, it was beyond fantastic! I had the meatloaf, which was delicious! The friend pickles were great, might have been made from scratch in house, they were that good. The side items were okay, I had grits and collards. My husband had mac n cheese and fried potatoes- all okay, grits needed salt. We also had the banana pudding, which we licked clean. We didn’t have any cocktails but overall great food, great experience. Would recommend!
Service was excellent! Fried green tomatoes and Avacado Toast Point was yummy! We would definitely order them again! The bourbon meatloaf was perfect size! Thank you for a wonderful first time experience!
Food was good, except I added chicken to my salad. When I received the chicken, it was dry/tough. The chicken appeared to have 2 crusts, one from the initial frying and then another crust from the 2nd flash fry, I am assuming. Did not taste fresh!!!!! I am a native of Asheville and expect more from Tupelo. I appreciate the fact the staff wanted to get the food out quickly, but do not sacrifice the quality. The food was not a great value for what I received. Sadly, I have had better chicken at a fast food restaurant!!! My husband had meatloaf, mac 'n cheese and collards-loved his meal! Thankfully, we came to Tupelo for his 60th birthday. Doubt we will return, hopefully no one else will experience this.
Always excellent food and the wait staff is amazing! Thank you for another great time!!
A gem in the Asheville area. Great ambiance, friendly staff and consistently outstanding food. Been there for breakfast and dinner. You cant go wrong dining here.
My shrimp and grits was absolutely amazing; the best I’ve ever had. The banana pudding for dessert was revelatory. For real.
I don't get the hype - it's just ok. It's southern food, and a lot of local spots are better IMO. The waffles & biscuits are good. Menu otherwise didn't have much we wanted. The servers were very busy but quick & good. Bathrooms were a bit dirty/needed a good cleaning. We made a reservation - it was already getting booked for the weekend a few WEEKS before, but after our meal we agreed we wouldn't go back. Not bad, just nothing to write home about.
We had the spicy chicken which was truly amazing, as well as the macaroni and cheese
Food was way good and our waiter was on the ball. 3rd return visit says it all.
Vvvvbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbhhhhhhhhhhhhhjhhhjhjjjjjjjjhjjjjhhjjj j ùhhhhhjhhhjhhhjjjjj
Over price for 2 cold refried chicken 10.00one fried boiled potato?
Spicy Bloody Mary was so good. We had to eat at bar because it was busy and I was pleasantly surprised it was not bad. The bartenders was very nice. Enjoyed our meals.
Food did not disappoint. Service was outstanding. Knocked off a point for uncomfortable wooden seating. Otherwise perfect.
Some of the best food that we had in Asheville! And service was fantastic.
Food was average. Mimosa was delicious. I'd go again if someone else suggested it, but it likely wouldn't be my first choice.
