Although we had to get a couple of dishes corrected, the overall experience was awesome! Our server Carter was very attentive and knowledgeable. And once our food was corrected, it was so DELICIOUS. I would totally go back.

Not a great experience due to poor service. Usually I take care of any service issues immediately with the management but unfortunately I could not identify one while this was happening. Two stars because everyone else's food was good and the environment was very pleasant.

We went for Easter Brunch. We order apps and then our entrees took about 20 mins to arrive after the apps were served. Three of the four dishes were good, but the Shoo Mercy Shrimp not "how is everything?" I had tried to soak up the liquid with the bread that comes with it but had already pushed the bowl away. Considering the rest of our party had just about finished, and it took a while to get our food, I said nothing considering he didn't ask. It was still sitting there when he came back, virtually untouched except for the bread being gone. Not a word about it except can he get us some to-go boxes and he dropped off the desert menu.

He came back and asked if I was done and took the bowl without a word. Since it was Easter we wanted to get dessert too. Our son started to order something, paused to think about it, which I guess was too long. Our server then said "OK, I'll come back" and left the table. He came back several minutes later, not a word about dessert, to see if we wanted anything else, to which we said no and then he brought the check.

Again, I usually try to take care of these things at the time of service but couldn't identify anyone and wanted to be discreet. I understand it was Easter but it really wasn't that busy. We were not addressed upon leaving either to have an opportunity to respond to the question of "how was everything" or even a "Thank You".

Restaurant was very busy and our table was ready and we were seated immediately. Very loud and seems they have too many tables for the space. Service was very good but food was lacking. My fried chicken was overcooked and tough and portion was very small for the price charged. My dining companions said the same about their food... average at best.
Probably will not return.

We really enjoyed our Easter brunch on the patio! The service was excellent as was the food. If you like Bloody Mary’s, definitely splurge and get the Queen Mary and the sweet potato pancakes were amazing.

Our second trip to Tupelo Honey was similar to the first. Outstanding food and drinks, but this time we made it for brunch. The Chorizo/Avocado omelet was great, the Chorizo was flavorful, but not melt your face off hot. My wife had the southern style eggs benedict, which pimento cheese. Again really flavorful and filling. We went on Easter sunday, and it was pretty busy, but I am glad I had a reservation!

We loved the restaurant, the setting was great. The food was fantastic - Honey dusted fried chicken was amazing.

(only minor caution - there is a row of 2 person tables that are TINY; we didn't sit there but looked very cramped and uncomfortable)

I had several friends and family members recommend Tupelo Honey as a great brunch location for my bridal party and I to eat in between wedding dress shopping appointments. Both the ambiance and food were good, but unfortunately we were distracted by the lack of attention and service from our waiter. When asking for simple things like salt, pepper, and ketchup, we received an eye roll. Our food took 30 minutes to come out and our waiter was nowhere to be found. I would not recommend this location to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion and I will not be returning to Tupelo Honey.

The service the Friday we were there was very slow. However, the hostess recognized this and assisted by giving tables water and then asking the kitchen for free biscuit appetizer plates for the tables having to wait for their server, which was good customer service and made up for the wait. Other than that, the food was delicious and the service was good once the wait staff arrived to take our order.

I chose this restaurant because of the novel our book club was reviewing. It was good food and excellent drinks. The service was a little slow, but I told the rest of the group this was southern hospitality and things are more laid back. Enjoy the moment and relax. We found the 7 of us were more engaged in talking about the book as well as discussing the food each of us had.

I had been to this restaurant for brunch a few weeks before and loved the atmosphere and basic bloody mary. Yes, I had one that night and it was excellent. If you want a place to gather, to kick back and enjoy, come to Tupelo Honey. They take care of you.

We found Tupelo Honey when we attended a wedding in Asheville, NC several months ago. It was the most delicious breakfast we’d ever had. We were in Denver on business and were THRILLED to find there was a Tupelo Honey only a few blocks from our hotel. We arrived a few minutes before they opened and were greeted with warm and friendly smiles. The service was exceptional, the food was delicious and the mimosas were like a cherry on top. We love Tupelo Honey!

Made reservations for 11:45am. Did not get seated until after 12pm. Hostess was space and slow. Server didn’t seem like she was having a good day, didn’t want to be at work. It took over 45 minutes to get food. When we got the food the famous chicken they talk about on their menu was over cooked and the rest of the dish was cold. I understand it’s brunch and it’s busy but we paid over $75 for 2 people to have a good warm brunch. This time it wasn’t worth it. Not sure we will go back.

I don't know if they were short staffed or what but service was definitely lacking. We purposely went during happy hour but our waiter was so inattentive he didn't ask us if we wanted another round before happy hour was over. We probably would have gotten more drinks and appetizers if he had come by more. That would mean a bigger bill so a large tip but he was never around. I saw it had really good reviews so I was surprised about this. Also the food was good but not great. I was concerned when our food came out before our drinks (maybe the bar was backed up) but that tells me that a lot of it is pre-made and they heat it up before getting it out. We will not be returning.

After moving to Denver from Asheville, NC I was excited to find out there was a Tupelo Honey in town. Myself and two others dined outside for Sunday brunch. The 4 empty tables around us had piles of plates and half eaten food the ENTIRE time we dined... Our server came to get our drink and food order after 10-15 minutes of waiting and never returned. A food runner dropped our plates off and we were finally able to order another drink. My sister and I ordered the Appalachian salad with friend chicken $17 and the rainbow kale salad with fried chicken $17, big mistake. We are both petite women, but these salads were side salad sized with a small chicken tender on top. The Appalachian salad had no sweet potato puree and no pecans. The rainbow kale salad had no dressing and what I thought were pumpernickel croutons were actually black, burned croutons! GROSS! My boyfriend ordered the southern shakshuka which had no flavor and looked like someone took the dish and put it in a ninja blender before serving it.

This was such a disappointment! My sister and I ended up running over to Recess Beer Garden for wings after brunch because we were starving. I enjoy smaller portions of food, but this was a joke. The "fried chicken" on top was literally a cold children's menu tender. Sad.

We really want to like this place, but our experiences are always poor. They forgot about us and when I went to ask about our table, they said they were 'finishing wiping the table'... Just to bring us to the empty table that had been sitting open and untouched since we arrived. Then the table was wobbly so our host went to find something to fix it... His solution didn't work so he said our hostess would help. Well, no one told her that, so we had an awkward stand off until my husband said he'd just keep his foot on it the whole time. The shakshuka was mushy... My spouse didn't eat it, to which the waitress said nothing. Then our biscuits were raw so the waitress said she'd 'let the kitchen know'. A good concept for a restaurant, but the customer service could use work.

Tupelo Honey was in a good downtown location next to the train station. I found the service to be fair as our waitress was not very attentive. The menu offered a good variety of food and could accommodate whether you’re a vegan, meat lover or something in between. I ordered the salmon dish and did not like the sauce, as it over powered the salmon. The fried green tomatoes were a big hit with all at the table.

The waitress tried hard and did her best, however, it appeared she was the only waitress in the restaurant. She informed us that they did not have any catfish or trout left even though we had a 7:00 pm reservation. We all ordered chicken. It seemed like it was taking a long time to get the food when she came by and said that three of the chicken orders were ready but they still had to cook the 4 th plate which would take another 20 minutes. She did comp us for the appetizers (fried green tomatoes and biscuts). The food was good and we enjoyed it, but.....not the best of experiences.

I fully expected to love Tupelo Honey. The menu looked great and the photo of their food on their website made me really look forward to our meal. First off, the service was stellar. No complaints there. Our waitress was warm, attentive and very helpful. But I found that while it looked delicious, the food was merely okay, expensive and highly overrated. I really can't figure out the rave reviews this restaurant has received. Their biscuits were salty, something I never expected at a restaurant specializing in Southern cooking. The food was beautifully presented, but the combination of flavors I experienced just didn't hit the mark. For my money, and the incredible hassle of trying to find parking near Tupelo Honey, I will skip this restaurant in the future. While variety is the spice of life, and I'm always interested in trying new restaurants, my next Sunday brunch will be at Jelly on 13th Avenue, which has AMAZING biscuits, delicious food and is more reasonably priced. Morning Collective on South Broadway is also a better value with fabulous food.
