   We were there on Mother’s Day. The restaurant was very busy and we were seated 15 minutes after our reservation time. We waited about 35 more minutes for our food to arrive. The chicken & waffles, the meat loaf were good,the shrimp and grits was just ok no flavor and the chicken fingers looked like they were fried twice and were very dry. Our server , Mary,was very attentive and did a good joj. Doubt if we would ever go back.

   This was my first time visiting this restaurant and brought my mother for Mother’s Day. We waited 1hr 30 mins to receive our food which was unacceptable. We sat on the patio and none of the ceiling fans worked so it was very hot which made it hard to enjoy the atmosphere. I ate the chicken and waffles but by the time my food came my waffles were cold and soggy. The chicken was good and had a lot of flavor. The waiter was apologetic and gave us a small discount on our bill, but for what we went through I felt a little more could’ve been done from a customer service standpoint. I was truly looking forward to trying out the restaurant, but after the experience I had I will not be going back.

   Grace was our server tonight and the whole table feels as though she could’ve provided better customer service. It was a busy time but everyone around us received better service than us, which is disappointing. She lacked manners and basic customer service skills, drinks were left unfilled unless we requested, empty appetizers were left at the table even after new ones were ordered, we had to ask her to remove them. Her attitude seemed as though she didn’t want to serve us until it was time for checks. Yes, we tipped her, but she received what she deserved for the service.

   We came in at 11am… (understand it’s a holiday) but.. from the host.. to the table.. to the service.. to the food.. (not worth 120 for five people).. we left at 1:30.. food is not flavorful.. the food came out.. WAY overdone and crispy.. and everything… took quite a long time.. servers couldn’t be found or seen for that matter.. let along a manager or anyone coming around to check on tables. Again. Understand it’s a holiday. (Have also worked the serving world for 10+ years) clearly.. there were some.. mishaps or incorrect planning.. but sadly we will not be back… I wanted to give them a chance.. and we were left unsatisfied. (Leaving half full plates and no leftovers were taken).

   Happy hour (3pm-6pm) food was excellent value - 1/2 the cost of the regular menu pricing.

   As a new resident of Ohio I was looking forward to try new places to eat and Tupelo Honey was one of the first places I got to try and I had very high hopes. On arrival we were sat pretty quickly but following being sat the service took a huge turn to non existent. Inattentive staff, long waits for literally anything asked for including water, dirty tables that weren’t getting cleaned left and right made the place look very unkept and unorganized. Considering my bill came out to just shy of a hundred dollars for merely 2 entrees and 2 drinks I expected more in the service department. The experience was so dissatisfying that I’d be okay if I never went back again.

   Omg the food was amazing! This was our first time going to Tupelo Honey and we were so happy with everything. It’s graduation weekend for OSU so we booked a table in advance so our wait time was short. Our server was so good, she was very attentive and very quick. It was a bit loud but I’m assuming it’s just because it was full of graduates and their families celebrating. Overall I would highly recommend getting a meal here when you are in town!

   We waited way to long for mediocre food. Grilled cheese and Tomato soup was very good but how can you mess that up. The chicken on the sandwiches was very small and grilled chicken was hard to chew. Waitress apologized for long wait. Not impressed.

    Don’t get me wrong — food was great. But the service and how they managed the tables was just completely all over the place. They didn’t have the phone reservation for the party ahead of us, they moved us tables halfway through us being there because the hostess “put as at the wrong table”, we didn’t even get our food until over an hour of being there, our waiter was barely present throughout the meal and kept forgetting to check on us. Our total time there was over an hour and a half and we didn’t get drinks or appetizers or anything—just small meals that we ate pretty fast. Truly only saying this for constructive criticism because experiences like this happen every time we’ve gone here. They’ve got to get it together because the actual food and restaurant itself is nice.
