It was hot in there and a few flies around. Food was great.
We brought our daughter here to celebrate her Birthday. Everything was delicious, and we had a nice long visit, without feeling rushed at all. Ashley was fantastic.
Ashley was our server and she was OUTSTANDING! She gave excellent menu recommendations and was very attentive to our table. The food was delicious (as all of the pinterest bloggers said that it would be!) and we were delighted with our experience. Thank you for a lovely time!
Went there for a date and everything was good except the food took a little longer to come than I expected
We were there with a party of 9 for a special celebration and everything was perfect
Always enjoy our time at Tupelo Honey. Both staff and food are excellent
Such a great place ! The service was excellent. The biscuits were amazing as well as all the other food! Can’t wait to return.
Great service. Poor food for the cost. The chicken and waffles had a bland taste. The biscuits were dry.
However, other dishes looked good from a distance. Maybe I just had bad luck.
The food, drinks and atmosphere were all wonderful!
Delicious and interesting food and great atmosphere! The meatloaf was amazing!
We drove 45 minutes to get to Tupelo Honey, and it was worth the trip! Loved the fried green tomatoes and sweet tea. We will be back!
The food was great. We waited almost 40 minutes for our food.
Enjoyed the variety and biscuits!!!
What a great experience! The food was excellent and Terry our server was amazing!
Food was delicious. Staff was amazing. Loved the location and casual ambiance. Felt like a dinner at home!
Love the bowls!
Perhaps you are short staffed but service was extremely slow both in taking our orders and food delivery. I understand your menu is on line and can be accessed thru the card on the table. Bad thing is there were 4 members of my party who are in 80-90 age range. They can’t see the online menu and don’t have smart phones for access. We had to wait for printed copies. We got 5 to cover a party of 13. Not acceptable.
Our waffles were cooked too long, the other orders of waffles were semi burned. The last order was a burger and my guest was satisfied with that. Our chicken had a very weird taste. The tea was good, the banana pudding was amazing and the fried green tomatoes were good. When we sent our waffles back the manager came and sat them on the table and left. Had it not been for our waiter the experience would’ve been a complete drag.
Overall we had a good experience and would go back. My guess is that they are still tweeking operations since opening up post covid. We arrived about 10 mins before our reservation and although there were open tables that we could see, were told that our particular table still had diners and that they were closing out and it would be a few minutes. 20 minutes later we were still waiting. We were told that the other people were leaving and they just had to clean the table. We patiently waited outside as other diners walked in and and got seated, so we finally got in that line and they sat us in one of the originally open tables, oddly comical! On to the food and drinks. Bloody Mary and Sweet and Tart Mimosa were delicious. Appetizer brussel sprouts with buttermilk ranch dip won't disappoint. Mahi Mahi with Basil Butter Green Beans -excellent and the Cauliflower Tacos - awesome!! Many interesting menu items that will make you want to return. Music plus bad accoustics make for a very loud atmosphere.
Food was soooooo good, as well as the service, highly recommend!
Super bummed about Tupelo. This is my go to when we have people bisi
We were celebrating our Anniversary. We had drinks at the bar and the Bartender was very nice and friendly. We would have eaten at the bar if we weren’t celebrating our Anniversary. Our drinks were AWESOME!
We got a booth which was nice. Biscuits were amazing as always. Jam was more like jelly this time.
The pork my husband got was very tasty.
My brunch was good. Sausage patties were really good.
We love this place! Everyone was really nice, service was fast, and the food was incredible. We will definitely come back. Perfect place to eat downtown.
The flys inside were a little disgusting... food was ok but the fighting of flys made it stressful experience
This restaurant stands out on its own. The wonderful food, atmosphere, friendly staff, and its dog friendly. We enjoyed a great evening eating out on the patio.
We had a table outside in the courtyard and Hannah was our waitress. Meal was great - I had the Rainbow Avocado Bowl and Wildflower Mule. Fantastic!!!
Good service. Biscuits were somewhat “crumbly”. Pork was excellent. Peach slaw had no peach flavor and one morsel of peach. The grits were very good.
Had reservations for a 4 top. Arrived early and was immediately seated at our table. Great menu. Food was served hot. Couple small hiccups with the sides but not a big issue. Manager stopped by and followed up on how we were doing. Had the fried green tomato appetizer. Excellent. Party ordered cast iron pork dish, burger and chicken and waffle entrees. Thumbs up on all the dishes and sides.
Sat down at a booth with bread plates with napkin/flatware on top. They never brought any bread to the table — guess the bread plates were only there to elevate the napkin off the table. The shrimp and grits with chorizo came swimming in a layer of orange grease from the sausage. Since no spoon was brought, I tried to eat with the supplied fork until I got tired of the orange grease dribbling onto my shirt, and asked the waiter for a spoon. At the end of main course waiter did not mention dessert options. My friend had the fried chicken with two sides and it looked okay but not worth the prices. This is, in my view, the “little restaurant that could”, but falls way short. For an upward-scale Southern restaurant, at least bring out some hot biscuits or cornbread to put on those useless bread plates on the table. Glad I tried it, but I won’t be coming back — overpriced for what they delivered.
First time returning to Tupelo Honey in several years. Totally disappointing. Service was great but food selection, taste, and price were beyond disappointing. They have a very limited menu. Wife had waffles-looked and tasted like Eggo’s.
Great food and our server was amazing! Staff was super nice great atmosphere!!!
We had a great time and delicious meal!
Excellent food. Excellent service. Way too loud though!
Great fried chicken with Brussel sprouts and rosemary potatoes! My daughter is sensitive to Soy. She had a bowl of cauliflower ,veggies and avocado - Fall Harvest bowl. It was filling and delicious. My husband enjoyed his burger. You must try the Tupelo honey on your chicken! We bought a jar to bring back to CT. Dillan was an attentive and helpful waiter. Thank you. We'll be back!
Food was delicious. We sat outdoors where there was ample seating. Tara, our waitress, was amazing and attentive.
Always love our weekly outing to our favorite restaurant. Great service
Consistently good southern breakfast.
Outstanding experience! The service was amazing! Highly recommend!
Reservation at 12. Waitress came at 12:23 and said she was sorry that she missed me after serving two tables beside me. So she HAD to see me. She blamed it on the fact that I was in a corner. Well both tables are. (Took picture attached)
After waiting she has checked on me he table periodically but I watched as a party of 4 came in and they had bread and water within 5 mins. There is no excuse. I will say this. Your hostesses at the front door were more irritated with my treatment than I was judging by how many times they kept asking had my server came yet and it was always NO. One walked away and said “that’s ridiculous”. As I’m sitting down eating I’ve had to stare at 2 dead flies on my face (attached picture) I’m not sure if the staff to clean wasn’t available today. This was my first time eating here after it being recommended but this was beyond dissatisfaction with service. The food is good. That’s the best way to end my review.
I pray service in the future is better.
The manager came over and compensated me for my meal and offered an apology that I knew was very heartfelt. Her name was Alicia
