The food was delicious! The brussel sprouts are very tasty; everyone at our table loved them. The chicken is tender and has a great flavor. The biscuits are delicious too. I will definitely return!

A little disappointed when bringing out of town guests this time as it took a while for our server to warm-up, but once they did - it was fine. Also raved about the potatoes to our guests and they were excited to try them - but when we got there at 9:30 on a Saturday they were out? I asked the server to check to see if they could make more and they came back and said yes. But when our breakfast came - either you changed you potatoes or whipped up some square cut home fried potatoes up as a substitute and while they tasted great - they weren't the same as the oblong ones. Still love the place and will be back again.

Overall we enjoyed the experience. We were a bit disappointed in the fried chicken but the shrimp and grits and the fried green tomatoes were very good.

catfish entree was excellent, as were the sides (mac and cheese, brussel sprouts). Noisy place; waiter was polite but hard to hear and price charged for wines was incorrect (but they fixed it and gave us one of the glasses free due to the delay and mixup). Not an extensive menu, but a few appealing choices. Suggest coming after happy hour if you want more attention and less noise.

Wife had the shrimp and grits. “Wild caught” shrimp had the undeniable frozen taste. Grits were thick and dried up. I had the blackberry habanero ribs. Do not recommend. I’d go on about the kids meals and the appetizer but none of it is positive. Over priced food that didn’t deliver at all.

I have had better food and service from Crackle Barrel. I have no idea why this place is so popular. The food was so-so and service was worse.

We were there on St. Patrick’s Day and the staff was slammed. We had reservations and were seated not long after arriving and our waitress was really good, but the food was lacking. We’ve been many times and I’m sure we’ll be back, but the taste of the food on this day was just off; the fried green tomatoes were almost bland and even my husband commented that he was disappointed in all the food. Maybe it was the rush?

I've been here a few times and we came in from out of town and decided to head back. The hostess was putting on lip balm as she walked to the hostess stand. No smile. No good morning. Nothing. Just 'Two?". Then she started walking. We assumed we should follow show we did. She put the menus down and just walked away. Pathetic! Greenville is known for southern hospitality, so this visit to Tupelo didn't start off great. We sat down and the server was solid and glad we had her to improve our visit. But, the expeditor that brought out the biscuits and the food must've been in the same mood as the hostess. First, he put two plates in front of us that weren't the wrong food. We told him that wasn't what we ordered. He looked annoyed and grabbed the plates and moved them to the next table. Later when our actually did arrive, then he did the same thing. Dumped the plates off. No smile. No, enjoy your meal. Ridiculous. We do love the food, but their management needs to teach them about customer service/hospitality as it's really degraded since I was there last. Disappointing visit because of the grouches at front of the house and expediting.

We made reservations in a timely manner but were seated next to the kitchen. No service until manager came by and asked ten minutes in. Took our drink order, then waited seven minutes more for our waitress’s first appearance with only one coffee when we ordered two. Waited six minutes more for second cup. Took order, disappeared, finished coffee and waited until we had to flag down a different waitress, who poured coffee from a carafe with an orange lid. We asked if that were decaf, she answered no and told a story about lost black lids, then left. We sipped the coffee: decaf. Original waitress finally appeared, we told her we needed new coffee, she took one cup and replaced it with real coffee, walked away, then we flagged her down to get second cup replaced, as requested. Got breakfast, ate it, waited twelve minutes until we flagged down manager and asked for check. Waitress brought it ten minutes later. Last time we will go here.

Three people in our party had the pecan pie French toast with a side of bacon. They are every bite! My daughter had the omelet and I had the pick 3 for $10. We all enjoyed our food. Our server was very attentive and professional. We will return soon!

I’ve always loved Tupelo Honey in Greenville, but this sadly may be the last I visit. We had a reservation and were sat before two sets of walk-ins. They eventually told us our table was ready, but that it will take some extra time to clean it, 15 minutes later, we were finally sat. We sat down and waited for awhile before the waitress stopped by, I told her the beer I wanted (the house beer), but then she proceeded to tell me they had other beers as well, yes, I realized that, but I just wanted the house beer. Ugh! She then took at least 15 minutes to return with the beer. She took our appetizer order, but as we were trying to tell her the dinner order, she quickly left. In the mean time, our toddler spilled his water. We got up as much as we could, but never found a waiter for help. Our appetizers came out and since it had already been forever we asked the waiter who brought us the appetizer if he could put our dinner order in and help with the spilled water since we still couldn’t find our waitress. The waitress of course came over after this and asked with an attitude if something was wrong over here! Umm..yeah! Please note....the restaurants was only 3/4 full, there were at least 6 wait staff members around, unless they were actually cooking as well, they had plenty of staff for the customers. The food....the fried green tomatoes used to be good...these were not..the tomato part was almost inedible. The fried chicken sandwich used to be huge, it’s now half the size and still the same price. We also used to always have yummy biscuits as we waited for our food...nope...we had to ask and were sort of reluctantly given them...it’s the one reason we take our toddler to this restaurant, he loves the biscuits as we wait for our food. Unfortunately, It’s no longer worth the drive or wait to eat here.

We visited Tupelo Honey for our Dad’s 91st birthday celebration, and we were very pleased with our experience. We were a party of 8, and had made reservations ahead of time. We were seated pretty close to our reservation time, and we were very pleased that we were put in the very back of the restaurant, because the music/noise level in the lobby and main area of the restaurant would not have been so ideal for us to be able to hear and converse with everyone in our party. We had a very personable waiter, who was very attentive to our needs. The food was very good and arrived in a timely manner. Our dad received a free birthday dessert, which he enjoyed. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will not hesitate to go back for other meals and/or special occasions.

While the food and cocktails were phenomenal, good service ended with the host. It was my second time and our first visit had issues with service as well. I might attempt the bar next time and would recommend against sitting in the dining room if possible. I cannot stress enough how wonderful the food and drinks were, from complimentary biscuits to the Eternal Spring.

We made an on-line reservation for Saturday, March 10. It's a good thing, because by the time we left, the wait time was 1 hour and 45 minutes! We found the food quite good. Our waitress did an excellent job and kept the coffee coming. Our main complaint was noise - very high level. We were fortunate to be in an out of the way table, but still found the noise level too high. Lines formed for the rest rooms, even though women used the men's rooms as well (there are two individual rest rooms for men and women). If you go, be sure to make a reservation!

Entrance to Tupleo Honey is poor - door open at bar and hostess stand with table to right of curtain which serve as "barrier" between door and waiting area. Curtain get sucked in and out with the door and gets wrapped around both the customers sitting at the table and the customers entering the restaurant. POOR DESIGN!! Also - Tupelo Honey is located away from the street. Need better street signage since location can be tricky to find.
