We’ve eaten at the Knoxville location numerous times. The Knoxville location is consistently great! This location seems to be consistently not great. We’ve been here twice. The service is slow at best. The greeter ( who I’ve seen the last visit)is still not the friendliest. It took over 10 minutes for the server to return telling us they did not have the proper ingredients to make the cocktail we ordered from the menu. We ordered another one and it took over 20 minutes to get that which came after our food, which we were starting to wonder about both. This was the first time I decided to try the pork which was very tasty but dry. They also forgot to give us french fries with the spicy chicken sandwich (which was tasty) but charged us for the side salad so I had them correct the check and add the salad as the side since we did not get our french fry side. The person bringing out the food was very friendly and professional. Our server was great at the beginning and then after the second drink order, didn’t see him in the entire location until he brought us the second drink 20 minutes later. The restaurant was about 1/2 full, so not busy. They had a bus boy walking around with over the ear headphones, which I thought was unprofessional … But maybe there is some kind of reason for that that I’m unaware of. Overall, I won’t be back at this location anytime soon.

Overall, Tupelo Honey is a quaint restaurant with a good vibe. The service is great, however the food is just average. We had the Blackened Mahi and the Chicken tenders with Rosemary Potatoes. The Mahi was definitely not “fresh” and the tenders were extremely overcooked. The potatoes were good! All in all, a good experience, but if you’re expecting great, probably not the place for you.

Great venue, good service & great food. This is a popular place so there may be a wait unless you opt to sit at the bar which was perfect for our visit.
