Very nice and friendly establishment to take the place of Piper Pub. Took some friends from Texas, that lived in North Carolina when we did, and it covers a lot of Southern standards we were all looking for. Highest standard me, friendliness.

Music was almost too loud to hear each other speak. Table too small for 4 people. Nice servers.

We loved the food and atmosphere! Our server was FANTASTIC, however the manager was HORRIBLE! We has reservations at 12:15pm and arrived at 11:50am. He specifically told the hostess not to seat us until our reserved time, even though there were empty tables. We waited until 12:10pm until I again requested to be sat, which was accommodated by the hostess NOT the manager. Sadly the manager could take notes from his wait staff! We enjoyed it but unsure if we will go back due to him.

Everything service wise went wrong. I made a reservation for 11 people exactly a week in advanced. We arrived 15 minutes early and were told that we needed to wait until our exact reservation time which was 7 PM. We saw a table that looked like a table fit for us. It even had a sign on it that said reserved. While we waited for our exact time to come we saw that the table had been given to a different party so we figure that there were two larger groups with a similar reservation time. When our time came to be sat they did not have a table ready for us and when asked where our table was going to be there were still two couples sitting one had just been served that had just been served. We were told that we needed to wait for them to leave before we could get our table set up. This could take an unknown amount of time. They were finally able to piece together a table for us about 30 minutes later than our reservation time.

Next we ordered and everything was great until everyone was getting their entrées and then everyone except for one person got their entrée. We are patiently waited to see if the kitchen was a little bit behind then it’s 15 minutes later and we are all almost finished with our meals and this one person still hasn’t received their meal. So then we ask our waiter where the meal is and she didn’t even realize that the meal had been missing because she had not come to check on us. Then the manager had to get involved go back to the kitchen and have them make it as soon as possible because it seemed that it was left out of the order.

At the end of the night we had five separate checks and we had to ask for them then once they were brought all but one was done incorrectly. Two of the checks we had to ask three different times to be fixed. And one of the checks was paid in cash and we needed to ask for the change twice as our waitress was not bringing it back.

Other things to consider: this was a birthday celebration. The manager,Josh, avoided us.

Fun new downtown restaurant, fried chicken with the honey dust was the best! Cocktail were delicious but a charge for ice, wow that’s a new one.

First our server ordered mashed potatoes instead of maca and cheese, no biggie.
Then my salad came with the wrong type of lettuce and didn’t have the dressed tossed in. The server got the manager who came over with little apology, brought out a new salad but my husband was already done with his meal so I packed it up Togo. Manager should’ve comped salad or offered free dessert.

Very friendly staff. I requested to be near a plug in as this reservation was for a meeting. The place has several outlets so it was very convenient and the staff was happy to accommodate. Oh and the happy hour is so good! Super affordable snacks that come out with an insane about of haste.

Well, we were a party of 6--3 of us had salad, the other the pick 3 lunch special, 2 had dark meat fried chicken with salads. None of us were overwhelmed with our food--it was just ok. Even trying the favorite fried chicken meal left us underwhelmed and wondering why this place is so popular.

SO difficult to communicate in this loud restaurant--we'll go elsewhere next time.

We had a 6:30 reservation, when we showed up some of the hostesses looked like bums and were flustered by everything. We got sat in a booth and our server was awesome! We went out for my birthday on a Sunday and all the mini jar desserts were gone by 7:30, overall it was somewhat of a poor experience other than the server was great.

I had been to the one in Asheville, NC and loved it. I had no idea I would love it even more in my hometown. The environment is gorgeous, the drinks top-notch and the food was divine. I can’t wait to come back in the summer when the patio is available. Well done!!!! ❤️

I was contemplating what to order and had some questions on possible substitutions and combinations. Our server, Kolbie, recommended fried green tomatoes instead of biscuits to go with the chicken and gravy. It was a great combination.

Very busy Sunday. Our waitress was polite but we felt rushed to order. Once we did there was quite a wait for our food and she brought a plate of biscuits to placate us while waiting, very nice. Food was very mediocre, noise level loud! Don't let them seat you at table by host station, people were very loud, including the manager with no thought of people trying to enjoy friends and hold a conversation at our table.

Love having a southern restaurant in Boise! First place in Idaho that I've had real fried okra and I've been telling my friend and family about it all week. The food was delicious, albeit a little pricey, but worth it for a Texas girl that has missed so much of this cuisine since living in here. Drinks, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. It's nice to see another great place downtown and I was impressed with the renovation of the old place. Will definitely go again soon!

Four of us met at Tupelo Honey for brunch. This was a great choice. Fun waitstaff and an interesting menu. My wife and I split the "Breakfast in a Bowl" while our friends had the shrimp and grits and the eggs benedict. The cuisine was new to me and it was quite tasty. Especially enjoyed the goat cheese grits. The coffee was VERY STRONG. Nothing wrong with that just be aware. Next time I'll probably get the bloody mary.

Second visit to TH for Sunday brunch. Food prep was better this time, and the meal was quite tasty. The service was great, and it is still remarkable to me how well this eatery is going over in Boise. Reservations are highly recommended.

The food was good, but it took a long time to get and my husband's order was wrong. Additionally, they forgot the sides each of us ordered with our chicken. The food was really tasty though, so hopefully they get the new restaurant kinks worked out soon.

We were 15 minutes early for our 6 pm reservation and told we could wait in the bar area; however, no one would come take a drink order from any of my party of 6 until our official table was ready. We waited til 6:10 pm to be seated. Our drink orders came out slowly and the table had ordered mainly beer. Each beer was brought out separately in approximate 20 minute span; even though there were 2 bartenders just standing around not pouring any drinks. We were later told it was because no one knew how to switch out keg. The presentation of food was like at a school cafeteria. I ordered the Mac and cheese side and green beans. The cheese was already set up and looked like someone’s leftovers in the fridge which was about how good they tasted. Portion size was pretty small based on price. None of my party was impressed with the quality or service for the price, and we tend to go out to lunch and dinner quite often.

Side note: This place just opened and their bathroom floors were filthy. The door locks on the women’s bathrooms didn’t even work well. I had to move from one stall to the other because the stall door would fly open. The other stall available barely latched.

Super good food, we ordered the create your own breakfast and avocado toast.

Eggs (over easy) might be the best fried eggs I’ve ever had.... plus who doesn’t love $3 bloody Mary’s or mimosas. Good non-burnt coffee too.

All in all, awesome breakfast would return.

It was so loud you could not have a normal conversation, food was glorified fast food tasting.
Service was underwhelming. I would not recommend to anyone at this point. May try again since they just opened. Also floor felt slippery with grease when going to the men’s room.

Drinks and appetizers were great! With a group of 8, most meals were good. Could use a little work adding flavor to the veggie dishes. Service started out strong, but then was a bit slow as they got busy.

There is little about the atmosphere that is authentically southern or genteel. The food was fair to middling, but nothing to write home about. Like so may mass market restaurants, the formula involves high volume, rapid turnover and selling lots of alcohol.

The hostess that "greeted" us seem less than excited to be at work which was initially off putting for a new restaurant built around southern hospitality. However, once we were seated, the atmosphere was pleasant, the food was delicious and original, and our brunch experience was enjoyable. The biscuits were excellent, the grits were creamy and delicious, and the selection of options is robust. Price is on the moderate to high end for brunch, but I feel it is worth it for a brunch splurge.

We enjoyed our first (yes, there will be repeat visits) visit to Tupelo. Great service, and the food was prepared quickly and to order. The options are a welcome sight for someone familiar with and missing good southern cuisine, including the half bird (shared with my wife) and several sides (nice collards!). Looking forward to trying more of the menu later.
