The food needed seasoning! The cracklin potatoes were huge potatoes with sparse cracklin sprinkled on top, Tons of mayo based sauce on top. I had the chicken and waffles. My chicken was crunchy but had no flavor.

This is probably my 6th time coming here, first time for dinner. Every time the food has been great. It was not busy around 8. I always get the biscuits as an appetizer. They are delicious and so is the blueberry jam. I ordered the fried chicken and had mac and cheese. Both were excellent. My partner had the sweet and spicy sandwich which she also enjoyed.

Food does not live up to the website photography. Sounds like “duh,” but it’s not even close. Steak was overdone and doused in a soup of some kind of chimichurri situation. Beans were overdone. Potatoes were old. Fried green tomatoes were just OK. The cheese dip was good. Pretty average quality although not overpriced at that. Sweet waitress and competent. Probably won’t be back, but I wouldn’t AVOID it. Serviceable place.

Get the brown butter pecan pie!!!!! Also, the different chicken meals are all amazing. For sides/appetizers, get the mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, biscuits, and loaded potato cracklins... they were all divine.

When we unfolded the napkins they were stained. We felt rushed through our meal - all of the food arrived within 5 minutes of our placing the order. This is not supposed to be fast food. The scrambled eggs were extremely dry and had no flavor. The bacon was inedible. The server could care less - she did not return to our table after delivering the food until it was time for the check. I will not go back.

The food was good and the cocktails were great. I had a blood orange margarita and I definitely recommend. I would say that the wait for food was very long—45+ minutes for 3 brunch entrees. The wait staff didn’t cycle back often enough to check on drinks or anything else. While yes it was prime brunch time, I just don’t think the management staffed enough to cover.

I hate to say it, but I have been trying to like this place for the past few years, but the service is often slow, recipes inconsistent and unpredictable, and their prices just keep going up. It's really too bad because I want this place to work... badly. For some reason, each time I go to Tupelo Honey, they manage to get my order wrong and take forever to come to our table. At one point, it took 15 mins for our very overworked waiter to arrive to get drinks for us... both of which she forgot. The shrimp and grits, which should be a staple (besides the friend chicken) at any Southern Restaurant, ended up too thick, slightly chewy and overwhelmingly salty. My friend was served raw chicken on top of a fluffy waffle, and the cost for their tiny portion of mediocre banana pudding is laughable. The world-famous Magnolia Bakery can get away with that pricing scheme. Tupelo cannot. And don't order eggs here. They have the consistency of a grand hotel buffet in the 90s. They don't taste real. The sad part is that when it works, it works. The pollen-dusted fried chicken is excellent (when cooked) and the crispy sprouts make for a perfect appetizer. We don't even mind paying the $4 for what used to be free biscuits because the money goes towards a good cause (though... the biscuits can be hit or miss). Tupelo's happy hour specials are fantastic and hover among reasonable prices, but the wait for your food, the wait for service, and the quality of what you are receiving does not match the quality of when the restaurant first opened. This is too bad because the team that provides the service are always so kind. The vibes are great. But when you look at your $25 menu and realize you must dig out your meal prep on Sunday, something has to change.

Another AMAZING experience from TH. I love this place. I mentioned that we were visiting from overseas and the Chef, Lawrence, came over and we had a terrific chat about a former menu item. He was so kind, as was the ENTIRE staff. Lawrence gifted us a cookbook, but it just won’t be the same. I had the Fried Chicken Benedict, and the wife had the Shrimp & Grits. Our server, Bethlehem, bonused us with some waffles (I was having a tough time deciding!). Great great great all around. And the hostess, Soliana was absolutely a delight!

We had an enjoyable birthday brunch celebration. It was our first visit to Tupelo Honey, and all four of us enjoyed our food. Chicken and waffles, as well as the avocado toast with eggs were all hits. We will certainly be back!

Loved the sweet & spicy chicken! It’s probably my new favorite chicken sandwich. And the sides we tried were delicious - broccolini and the Brussels sprouts. Big variety of nice summer drinks too.

Sunday, July 9th, 2023 was not a good day for Tupelo Honey. I don't know if they always have service issues but they were not being run well. The bar was clearly understaffed and drinks took nearly 30 minutes to be made. Our appetizer never came out and we noticed the tables next to us were also having major issues. I'm not sure I would go back for brunch anytime soon. There are too many other options in the area.

Our meal was mediocre. The chicken had a good fry on it but lacked flavor. Same with the fried green tomatoes — good breading but lacked flavor. The waffles were soft and soggy-ish (and also had no flavor — add some cinnamon, lemon zest or vanilla, please!) Our waitperson was great, as was the host — both very personable and accommodating. All in all, a lackluster experience and I probably wouldn’t return.

Love the waffles. Delicious and best waffles I have ever tasted. They use to have yummy pancakes on the menu but for some reason they took the sweet potato pancakes off the menu. Big mistake. I will say this restaurant is great for adults but is not super kid friendly. They need kid size glasses and utensils. They do have high chairs and booster seats but that is it. They also do not offer kid friendly drinks - their lemonade options are not for kids. Mine called it yucky. Also our server did not get our order right at all. I had to repeat it multiple times and it came out incorrect for everyone lol so either the server wrote it down wrong or the kitchen can not understand notes.

We went on Sunday at 12:15, we waited for a table even after having a reservation, it was really busy so it took some time for our waitress to come, she was very nice and pleasant, when our food arrived our waffles was cold, but they made it right , I’ve been here 4 times already, I would return 🙂

Music was way too loud. I don’t like having to shout and/or repeat myself while trying to engage with my brunch companions. It wasn’t super crowded, but our waiter was preoccupied? Imagine sitting there and waiting for plates AFTER your appetizers have been served. Mimosa was by far the worst I ever had. Wished I had said something while there. $15 wasted. But seriously, how do you mess up a 2 ingredient recipe? And for $22, I expect more than 6 very medium/small shrimp. I feel betrayed by TikTok.

My family and I was from out of town for a graduation and decised to eat here. But I wish I could remember my waiter name, she was a slim black lady; she was outstanding!! She was the best waiter I've ever had! She made the experience 150x better!!! The food was awesome and the acia of relief was soo good!!

My griddle or skillet meal with a waffle on the side was too but not great. The portions were on the moderate to small side. The service was good but not great. My mimosa was very good. Overall, I would return but might try another item next time.

Well... it's ok but a definate let down with many of their modern takes on Southern Cuisine. What was great was the biscuits, fried green tomatoes and the grits. The chicken was mediocre at best. The crackling app is not crackling. Ughhh, it's a loaded baked potato. Why not say that. Not one piece of crackling in site. The other sides left me hankering to go back in the kitchen and show them how to cook Mac and cheese. What a travesty to have no cheese pull. The greens had more stems then leaf which leads me to believe it was bagged greens. The other sides weren't memorable to mention. Overall, the Staff was pleasant and warm but that's not enough to make me want to come back. Such a let down..

Jim was AMAZING, the service was awful though. Within 30 minutes Marissa only took our drink orders and nothing else. Took an additional 15 minutes for a sprite and my appetizer. At that point our entree made it there at the same time which kinda defeated the purpose of the appetizer. Overall probably would stick to ordering takeout.

Went for brunch and our three meals were super tasty and unique. I never had tasted anything like the fried chicken and waffles - and it was very good. The fried tomato starter had a kind of sauce that set it apart. Service was outstanding, friendly, efficient, fun, and very attentive. Perfect location and nice outside or inside dining. We went for Father’s Day brunch. The food is what you’d expect for southern style brunch. Not a lot of healthy options if you are trying to watch what you eat but it is a southern style place so not a surprise. The mimosas are pretty good. Our server didn’t check on us much even though it wasn’t that busy there, but she was pleasant. Would I go back? Maybe with my friends for a happy hour. I didn’t leave there feeling amazed. I’ve had better waffles elsewhere.
