Food was heavy (which is essentially as advertised). It was good, but not great (taking price point into account)
The service during this visit was sub par and not what I expected. The wait for a server to get us was too long and her visits to our table was so infrequent that we had to ask a few times for others to get her. Plus, she never followed up after someone else dropped the check off and we had to flag someone down to get her so that we could pay the check. I intended to order something to go but based on that experience I didn't even order it.
We had to send a dish back because the server reached dangling across one of our platters, brushing her sleeve all across the food as she reached across the table to pick up another person's platter. This could've been avoided had she just gone around to pick up the platter from the other side. To top that off, it took for me to say something for her to ask if we wanted to get another one made. First that shouldn't even be a question, second I shouldn't have had to say something for her to offer when she clearly saw it and offered an apology to acknowledge that it was happening. That should've been immediate and not after other problems resolved nor should I have had to have said something before she walked away.
The food was 5 stars. Thanks to the chiefs. The server was amazing too. To see the manager help out with cleaning tables and assisting his staff as needed, made this a great experience for me and my kids during Brunch time rush. I will definitely come back again and again.
I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday experience at Tupelo Honey! Our hostess Bethlehem was the sweetest! We were a party of 8 and she took care of all of us so well and patient! This is a restaurant that felt homey and nice. There was also a tall gentleman with a sleeve tattoo that I would be remiss if I did not mention. He checked on our table, took our photos outside, and showed us such warm hospitality. Definite recommend!
The hostess on Sunday July 25, around 1:30pm, was excellent- there were a lot of people coming and going, having reservations/not having reservations and she was very professional, efficient and aware. The food was excellent, our server was tentative and the pricing was fair. The only con to the experience was the table layout. It was very crammed. I felt like I was eating alongside other people. I recommend spacing the tables more.
We made reservations and upon arrival we were greeted promptly and told there’d just be a short wait. As we approached the table, it appeared that we’d been thrown in the mix of an over booked restaurant. Our table had been squeezed in between two others and was partially in the walkway. We asked to be seated elsewhere and were told an avail was booth was reserved even though there was no reserved sign displayed. We opted to for outside seating since there was no wait but felt squeezed in there, too….. we could literally reach the person sitting at the next table and had to squeeze to get into the seats. Our waitress was very forgetful. We had to keep reminding my her of items we’d requested but never made it to our table. Overall the service wasn’t great at all. I’ve dined here before but probably won’t return. Good service is more important to me.
Nice place to have a Sunday brunch. The food was good and our server Daisy was great. They will comp parking but the hostess said they do not charge on Sunday but she was wrong.....I had chicken sandwich and potato cracklins and it was yummy. My friend had grits which she loved and fried chicken dark meat and the portion was small.
The biscuits were to die for....enjoy!!!!!
Unfortunately the chicken had zero seasoning or flavor but it was the main part of the meal. Disappointing
The meal I ordered was lacking seasoning overall. I exchanged my original plate for the Southern Cobb Salad. The house made ranch was too heavy on the garlic. On the bright side, the biscuits were DIVINE!! We got an order each to take home.
Pleasant ambiance (indoors), not too loud for brunch on Sunday morning. Food was good (and waffles were excellent), service was adequate... just wish it was clearer that all the pancake items on the menu (including the blueberry pancakes) are made with sweet potato batter.
A lot of issues our server. She didn’t bring extra napkins or straws even after we asked. The bar items took for ever. She seemed irritated and overwhelmed. I’m guessing she may have been new because some of the other servers seemed be on top of things.
Just wow!! The food was excellent, 10/10 the sriracha chicken and waffles was the best chicken and waffles we have ever had! The green tomato appetizer was to die for. Service was a bit slow however, it wasn’t the server’s fault so we were understanding but overall we would 100% recommend and return. Pics of are only of half the portions!
YUM! What a pleasant surprise, as I only know TH from Asheville.
Get extra biscuits for the next morning!
The food was delicious, especially the chicken. I had enough food for breakfast the next day. Will dine again.
Great place for brunch! Had shrimp and grits and pancakes on the side. Food was excellent and service good as well. Of the top five restaurants in Arlington.
I ordered the Rainbow Avocado Bowl. The cauliflower rice was soggy. There were huge chunks of raw carrot and cauliflower, which were not pleasant in a salad. The dish seemed to be developed by a very inexperienced cook and the hot sauce added nothing to the dish.
Summer, our server was awesome!!
This is one of my favorite spots to come and have brunch with family and friends. The food is amazing and the ambience is nice.
Excellent place to gather with family and friends over good food!
Thank You for your review. We are glad to host our soldiers. Thank you to your father for his services!
Our waitress was super attentive. Made sure all of our orders were correct and checked in periodically to see if we needed anything else. All of the food we ordered tasted delicious. Thank you!
Thank You Tatiana for your review. We look forward to hosting you again soon!
The food taste was very good. The temperature of the food was luke warm at best. Service was as good as a bartender can to while also bartending????? I dont understand why he was our server.
Thank You for your review Mike. Unfortunately in the current climate, the service industry is hard to staff these days. We are steadily working to get new faces in and get them trained up properly. Please join us back for a meal on us. Just show this message and we will gladly take care of you. Thank you again for your feedback.
My friends and I went for a group birthday celebration and it was phenomenal! Our waitress, Liz; was absolutely amazing!! The food was delectable and I’ll be back many more times.
Thank you Delectable for your review. Our staff takes pride in their southern roots and traditions. We look forward to hosting you again soon! Cheers
Amazing food! Great atmosphere, will definitely be back.
Thank You for your review Leslie! We look forward to hosting you again soon!
Shared chicken and waffles and the mahi tacos with friend. Both delicious. Will come back.
Thank You Karen, We take pride in our southern roots and traditions. We look forward to hosting you again soon. Cheers!
The food was amazing! I still think about the sweet & spicy fried chicken.
Thank You Jewlz for your reivew.
My vegetable plate had nice options but the collard greens were super salty. Desserts were tasty but tiny and server forgot to bring his silverware and I had to ask two people before we finally got spoons. Manager was very professional and discounted the meal cause of the inedible collards. The atmosphere was lovely and friendly.
The food taste delicious and the service is excellent
Great food, service, and ambiance! Will visit again.
Shrimp & grits had a good number of shrimp. Avocado bowl was a hit. Summer spritzer was refreshing. Smothered chicken was not smothered — not enough gravy. Collard greens were not cooked long enough nor had enough bacon mixed in.
New menu items breathe fresh fare to a classic taste
It was my first time there and the fried chicken and mac and cheese were great! I will definitely return.
I haven't been at Tupelo in a while, but my favorite dish was my Cobb salad with fried chicken. The fried chicken look and taste like it was two days old. The avocado toast feel that the avocado wasn't fresh, but they were using one of those containers that have a mushy avocado that are tasteless. Finally, service was not good. Waiter didn't know how to describe a dish plus he wouldn't check back on us
overall, I would give them another chance, but food and service needs to improve or go back to the pre pandemic quality.
Solid southern cuisine. Great biscuits. Good everything else
Great experience. Friendly staff, efficient service, and excellent food.
Celebrating engagements. There was a major accident that shut the highway down…and we were over an hour late for our reservation, but the restaurant still accommodated us.
40th birthday for girlfriend
Our food and server were amazing! I am obsessed with the fried green tomatoes and get them every time I go. This time I really wanted some fried chicken breast, gravy and eggs - not something on the menu, but my outstanding server was able to make it happen. I couldn't have been happier!
The food is pretty good but the service is really excellent! The best things on the menu for brunch: any of the bowls, the fried green tomatoes, and the sweet potato pancakes with blueberries.
Had the sriracha chicken and waffles and they were absolutely delicious! Chicken was done perfectly - would recommend 10/10!
