Went for brunch, ordered sampler of eggs, pancakes and bacon - eggs were inedible, like prison food. Waiter didn’t inquire if anything was wrong, decided easier to not return then launch complaint.

I liked the service here very much and The food was way above avg. I actually sent back the shrimp and grits I oringinally ordered. The shrimp was tasty enough but I thought the grits could have been creamier in my opinion. They accommodated me and replaced it at my request with a french toast, eggs and chicken dish, which was very good. Loved the accommodating service, music was good (e.g. beyonce, john legend, lady antebellum etc), food was delicious. I will be coming back soon.

The brunch food was amazing, large portions, and super reasonably priced. We loved our waitress! All around great time and the amount of the final check was a pleasant surprise - and we had drinks! Highly recommend for brunch (first time going so I can’t evaluate for lunch/dinner).

Chicken and French Toast off of the brunch menu is really good. The Queen Bloody Mary is also good, but not cheap by any standard at $15. Throw in an extra shot and it could be a classic.

Prices are decent.
Services is average. Order an appetizer of the wings they were extremely tiny and raw had to send them back. Ordered the fried chicken they ran out settle for over roasted it was ok. Unfortunately I won’t be returning.

My husband’s food came out not very hot and when a manager came by to ask how our meal was he shared with him about the temperature, but said we were under a time crunch and didn’t need new food to be brought out. The manager came back a few minutes later with a piping hot side of mac n cheese and said “No one eats cold mac n cheese in my house.” We appreciated the great service and how he took pride in this establishment so much so that he wasn’t willing to let my husband settle for less than delicious mac n cheese :)

The food alone is amazing and worth going for if you like Southern comfort food. Our server Sadie was the bees knees, great attitude and service throughout our dinner. Wonderful experience!

Extremely accommodating for our large family on short notice. Food was amazing. Server was cool. Manager stopped by. Only negative was the grumpy bartender. Put someone to serve alcohol with a smile. You’ll sell more mimosas/Bloody Mary’s

The brunch fried chicken is limited chicken breast strips. To get dark meat you have to order two dishes and pay $4 more. It’s an unnecessarily difficult process.
Our food was cold the first time it cane out. Delicious once hot!

I had last been here three or so years ago. I wanted to come back for what I knew from back then to be a fairly priced, fun, good restaurant with big portions.

It was too loud to have a good conversation. The service was fine. The food however was mediocre. Small portions, and the food prep was clearly rushed and messy. Would not return again.

I have quite a few health related dietary restrictions and our server worked diligently with the kitchen to provide me with a meal free of my triggers. When I told him that tomato paste and onions were the biggest modifications I needed removed from a dish, he worked with the kitchen to identify every dish component that might contain either ingredient and they never once made it feel burdensome. Truly appreciate the effort and care they applied to our meal.

I would recommend Tupelo Honey to a friend because of the quality of the food and great service with one caveat: if you want to have a conversation without nearly shouting throughout the meal, that will be a challenge. The acoustics are not that great; add in the loud music, and it makes conversation a strain. But otherwise, great place!

Went with a friend from out of town for brunch. She got salted caramel French toast; I got Cajun shakshukah. Food was delicious! Service was definitely a bit slow / awkward at times, though...

They were out of quite a few of the menu items on a Sunday evening. Other than that, it was a great meal and the service was above average.

Overall the food was satisfying. I prefer it to be a bit more seasoned and some dishes needed salt & pepper. The faves were the boneless chicken breast, collard greens & brussel sprouts. The biscuits were very good. Sweet & savory with the preserves or honey. Desserts were amazing. Banana pudding & peanut butter chocolate ganache were tasty. Overall a very good experience.

Food was great as always however, the service for our table was quite slow and it was difficult to access our server. We saw other servers running around but ours seemed to just disappear. Server also seemed to be having a bad day and was far from friendly.

I have always had a great experience with Tupelo Honey but something was definitely 'off' Saturday night. When we sat down, we were told it would be 15 minutes before the biscuits were out of the oven (are they not prepared for diners at 7:30 on Sat night?), and then when my shrimp and grits arrived 25 minutes later, the 'grits' were literally soup. Extremely disappointing especially since they are a signature item on the menu. The waitress was excellent and appropriately horrified, and after inquiring in the kitchen relayed to me that there was no way they could provide any better grits 'at that late time in the evening.' She was (appropriately) embarrassed and apologetic, and offered to get me another menu item. At that point my friends had had their dinner for some time so I really could not order another regular entree so I ended up having to have a salad. The item was compted which was nice, but overall it was a pretty crappy experience. The waitress did her best to salvage but the kitchen did not even try to fix. NOT the normal for there, so I was super surprised.

What meal?! We made a reservation, but the restaurant was closed. We drove 30 minutes to get there. Arlington County’s water supply was shut off on Friday, but it was restored by 6am Sunday - but, Sunday night, Tupelo Honey was closed. No notice to people who had made reservations. Every other restaurant on the street was open. We are next door.

I had a reservation on open table and got there and restaurant was closed due to water issue in Arlington. I totally get that was not under control of Tupelo honey but I would have appreciated a notification that the restaurant was closed. I did receive an open table confirmation on Saturday. Why was I not contacted they were closed?

Tupelo Honey is good, damn good. It is now my best overall restaurant experience in the DC area. From the moment we walked in we were treated with the warmest of southern hospitality. Being from the Deep South I appreciate this more than I can say. At the same time we were treated as if we were in a fine dining setting. The service was impeccable yet friendly, jovial and personal. Ryan, Donnell, Aubrey and the bartender (sadly I did not get his name!) made our evening feel like we were in the presence of friends. The food was just as warm and wonderful as the staff. Ribs, honey dusted fried chicken, collards, crispy Brussels sprouts and the most perfect biscuits. My honeysuckle lavender lemon drop was like drinking flowers and happiness. Overall I couldn’t have asked for more from a dining experience. We will be back, and will bring friends.

Was really looking forward to TH. But I have Soto say, we were disappointed. Not bad, just not great.
My friend had the chinked and biscuit. The gravy was undercooked and tasted like flour.
The biscuits were overcooked etc.
the manager came by and asked how we were enjoying the brunch. We told him. Not upset or expecting a comp. just that he asked and thought he should know. We can’t them to succeed.
He simply said. “I’ll let the chef know” and walked away.
I still wish them success and good luck.
