First timer and my party was very pleased with everything. The fried okra was very good. Definitely add the honey to your biscuit for a nice treat.

Very poor services. It took a while to get a server to notice us. We waited for gin and tonics. They arrived without limes. Requested some limes for our drinks and much later server brought tiny slices of lime.

Tables around us were not being bussed and food took way too long. Chicken was cold and over cooked and nothing came out at the right time.

It was obvious they needed more cooks, servers, and bus staff but there are too many better restaurants in the area to ever go back.

I didn't have any issues with the food or atmosphere, however, the service was horrible as our waiter was very slow but the hostesses at the restaurants were pretty much on point. With that being said, several times, my friends and I had to ask him for silverware, straws for the drinks, and he took forever to come take our order. This was the first time I had ever went to this establishment but my friends and I were not very impressed. Additionally, my friends ordered two Bloody Mary's that according to them were the worse tasting ones they have ever had. I get when businesses get busy they tend to have to work a lot but this individual was not very attentive to my friends and I. I do not recommend this place. However, with that being said, the food was delicious and was at least hot when we got it. But overall, I give this place a 3/5 stars only because of the food and the atmosphere.

Our server was incredible. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Split the buttermilk fried chicken and the bourbon peppercorn glazed meatloaf. Highly recommend the meatloaf. For the sides, we got Parmesan & rosemary potato cracklins (must get), collards with bacon (okay but not great), salt & pepper crispy Brussels (no flavor, do not recommend), and baked mac-n-cheese (definitely recommend). The biscuits were good but could have been warmer. Overall, recommend this place and look forward to going back with stretchy pants on!

Unfortunately my server forgot to put in my order after one hour... then I ask for the food to go and they did not put my sides in the bag. Usually a great experience. Not tonight.

We have been to Tupelo’s four times and each time we hope it might improve. It unfortunately has not. The food is hit or miss. It was also a very long time from when we ordered until we received our order. I doubt we will try our luck with another visit.

Food - GOOD

Fried Green Tomatoes - yummy, went really well with the goat cheese grits.

Sweet potato pancakes with pecan pie and blueberry compote was very good. I would actually return to try these out again.
I wish it was two more on the plate. :-)

Sweet Potato pancakes with fried chicken, bacon, pecans and honey. What a good combination. He really enjoyed every bite.

Sweet & Tart mimosa with grapefruit, blueberry and prosseco went great together. Really enjoyed the drink.
Rainbow Salad was ok. I personally think if everything was chopped together it would of been a little better.

Service - NOT GOOD
From beginning to the end service was not good.
The hostess/person that seat you had told me that we could not have our original table because they needed it for a party of 4. I ask to be seated at a bigger table because of all the food I was going to order to try. Make this story short she bring two people and sit at the table. :)
I brung it to the manager attention and he gave us bigger table. Problem solved. But conversation with this person had already dampered my experience.

Waitress was not attentive at all. Had to ask her for the biscuits that everyone else was receiving.
Had to ask her where was our pancakes. We had been waiting 45 minutes. Manager let us know it was a backup in kitchen. Totally understand. It would of been good if waiter updated us without us having to ask.
Had to ask her for more water. Had to ask her for the check when it was time to go.

OVERALL
I would give them another try. The sweet potatoes pancakes made it worth another try.

Tupelo Honey is very busy on the weekends. It was pretty packed both inside and outside. I even had a reservation for brunch and still had to wait an extra 20 mins for them to clean off the table. I also heard the hostess tell someone that the wait was 1.5 hours without a reservation so be sure to plan ahead. For food, I got a breakfast combo with eggs, sweet potato pancakes and goat cheese grits. I really enjoyed it, although I didn't taste the goat cheese in the grits. They have a lot of options on their menu so I'll definitely come back for brunch or happy hour to try something else.

I very satisfying brunch menu, and good execution of familiar, but still interesting southern staples. A very good chorizo-based breakfast sausage, excellent mac and cheese bites, and chicken cooked to the perfect crispness.

By far one of the best brunches I have ever had! The food was exceptional... I had the chicken dip appetizer and the Tupelo shrimp & grits dish was my main. The manager-on-duty during brunch hours on 6/2 went to each table (and it was busy!) to make sure guests were enjoying their meal. 10/10 experience!

I love Tupelo honey! Biscuits come with the table and are AMAZING. They have a great brunch option where you get 4 things for $13 and it’s always hard to pick. Tons of vegetarian options, food is eco conscious and the restaurant is cognizant of environmental impact from their food to their restrooms.

I arrived at Tupelo Honey for my reservation at 10:45, I had to pay for parking, attempted to call to confirm my reservation but received no answer. When I got to the restaurant, I was turned away because they lost power, but I was not notified ahead of time which resulted in a lot of wasted time and money. I am very disappointed that this was the way the restaurant handled their unexpected closure.

Second and last visit. Two years ago, fantastic, however, it has significantly declined. I asked for a "mega" mango mimosa, it was warm and awkward as it was just an overpoured oversized gawdy wine glass. The biscuits were cold, "chewy," and had no flavor. As for the steak and eggs, they forgot my eggs and gave me four cubes of steak and.... coutons...?!?! Also, why was there arugula with my steak and eggs? Wasn't listed and it was definitely not supposed to be a salad... I know this because there were also "roasted" potatoes (oily bottom of the pan scrapings) and poached eggs. My friend got an omelet with "sliced avocados," they added brown guacamole inside the omelet, most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Management/Kitchen staff will ruin this place.

Out server/waiter was amazing! 5 Star Service from that guy.

Took some guests from out of town here. Big mistake. Way too much breading on the fried chicken. More breading than chicken. Soup was lukewarm. Had to wait 15 minutes for biscuits. When they served my entree was told they no longer had Brussels sprouts. Why wasn’t I told this when I ordered. Had to wait for replacement. Root vegetables were way too sweet and mushy. Waitress did her best but was spread too thin with outdoor tables. Will not be coming back to this restaurant.

We will go back. This place has potential. However, we received horrible service. We didn't get our drinks (soda and coffee) until we had been seated for 20 minutes. Our server was clearly having trouble. We received our meals before our appetizer and when they finally brought the appetizers (after we had finished our meal) it was the wrong menu item. My meal was not hot but the flavor was great! We want to try the place again because the potential is there. We think it was just poor service and hopefully not a common occurrence.
